This chapter will follow only bits of the movie, I had to modify it to fit the OCs. Warning OC death!A new OC has been added. Here is a little info on the new OC, her name is Macy. She is one of Rose's best friends. She is also BFF's with Ashley. She is a friend and younger cousin to Sami. She has long blonde hair that falls into ringlets and the tips of her hair is purple (that is a story for another time.) She is a little taller than Sami and has no weapons yet. She is extremely over fond of Justin Beaver *gets hit on the head by Macy* sorry (not really) Bieber. No flames unless they are directed towards Bieber, the dragon fire later in this fanfic will be hot enough for me thank you. Now on with the story! ~
'I can't believe it. I knew that Rose was an awesome fighter but to have control of an element was shocking. She controlled not one but three of the six elements. Fire, lighting, and Earth are supposedly the hardest to control whereas wind, water and light are easier. I wonder if she is able to control those as well and if her friends have powers too. What am I thinking? She just lost her cousin, true they weren't close as far as I could tell but still.'
Thorin could see his company is being untied by Sami, while the wizard is checking Rose's vital signs. When Gandalf stands up and looks relived everyone can tell that she was alive and unharmed. 'Why am I so happy that she is ok? Shouldn't I be more worried about the dwarves that are under my lead? Is she really any more important than any of them?' Thorin thought to himself
"Thorin. Are you ok?" Balin asked as he untied Thorin "You seem unsettled. Am I right in thinking it might have to do with a certain girl that just lost her cousin? If so then don't distance yourself from her laddie. True she didn't really like Ted but it obviously upset her, she seems to have faith in you. Be there for her when she wakes up."
"Thorin, Sam get over here she is about to wake up." Gandalf called out. "Fili take Ori, Oin, Gloin, and Dori to go get Ashley and our supplies." Thorin ordered running over to where the wizard and two girls were.
Rose's eyes fluttered open and slightly hazed. Where pre-troll fight her eyes had been a greyish sliver blue, they were now a bright gold with flecks of her original blue that looked like small lighting blots. The wizard, dwarf, and girl that were all standing over Rose shared a look.
"Rose are you alright?" Thorin asks carefully
"Yes I am fine although I think I might have hit my head because the last think I remember is barbecuing a troll. I know there is no possible way I would have been able to do that. My nickname is the dragon lady but that is just due to when I lose my temper. Why are you all staring at me like that? Have I grown a second head?"
"Rose your eyes...they changed." Sam says handing Rose the first reflective thing she could find, her ax.
Rose took one look got up, almost falling over steadied herself and said, "Excuse me for a moment." And walked away towards the trees." After passing the tree line Rose grabbed a blade from her boot and started stabbing the nearest tree to prevent herself from freaking out. Then she started to walk around and found a cave that stunk of the trolls. 'This must be their cave.' She thought and headed back to tell the others of her discovery. When she got back Thorin and Gandalf were all discussing the trolls while Sam stood nearby listening to their conversation.
"They must have come down from the Eden Moors."
"Since when do trolls travel this far south?"
"Oh not for an age. Not since a darker power ruled these lands..."
"Gandalf I found the troll's cave. It is nearby and is easy to find by its smell."
"Ah Rose you seem to be back to normal, good lead the way." The wizard motioned for her to take them to the cave, while Thorin bellowed for everyone to follow them. When they reached it most refused to go into the cave. In the end only Thorin, Gandalf, Dwalin, Gloin, Bofur, Nori, and the girls were the only ones to brave the smell.
"Ugh what is that smell?"
"That my dear Bofur is what remains of the victims. Be careful of what you touch."
Everyone of course disregarded this. Gloin, Nori and Bofur made a "Long term deposit" as they put it while Dwalin looked on and shook his head. Sami picked up an amulet and an old looking war hammer that had dwarvish runes running along the head. Macy picked up an ice blue mace with spikes that looked like icles on the ball part. Ashley picked up some elegant looking knives and an odd black shield. They also pick up a few coins and trinkets. Rose follows Thorin and Gandalf over to a barrel of swords. Thorin picked one up and handed it to the wizard before grabbing one for himself. Rose also grabbed a sword. It looked like the sword Thorin held.
"Thorin, Gandalf may I see those?" Rose asks. They hand the weapons to the girl.
"Thorin this sword is Orcrist the goblin cleaver. This, Gandalf is Glamdring the foe hammer. They are famous elvish blades that were forged in the first age for the goblin wars. Glamdring was once worn by the king of Gondolin, he was kin to Elrond."
Thorin starts to put his sword back.
"You could not wish for a finer blade!" Gandalf snaps at Thorin. "I will take this sword and bow. I need replacements for the ones that broke during the fight with the trolls" Rose says grabbing the sword that looks similar to Orcrist and a bow that has gold flames running down its side. She also grabs an odd little statue of four dragons holding a golden egg.
~over with Sami~
On her way out Sami notices a small blade. Picking it up and taking a closer look at it, she sees that this is the small sword that Bilbo will later in the quest name Sting. Carrying it out of the cave along with her new items, she goes over to Bilbo.
"Here Bilbo you will need this soon."
"I have never used a sword in my life."
"And I hope you never have to, but if you do remember this. True courage is knowing not when to take a life but when to spare one." Rose said coming up to them

(No one's POV)
'Oh my. This is awkward.' Ashley thought to herself as she and Macy came up to Sami and Dwalin standing almost nose to nose glaring at one another.
"It belongs to Thorin! It was his father, Thrain's, war hammer!"
"I don't care if this was the weapon of Durin the Deathless himself! I found it and I am going to keep it. That troll that swallowed Ted also swallowed my spare axe. Besides the runes on here say that whom so ever finds this hammer is its real owner. Not the son of the last person to have it!"
"Is that why Thorin is currently having Oin mix up a pain-killer?"
"I would imagine so. He got a shock when the hammer itself sent him flying only to land on his tail bone."
Most people wouldn't be able to look an angry Dwalin in the eye but Samantha held his glare with one of her own.
"If you two are done with this whole I am tougher than you bullshit, Rose needs to see you both." Ashley says in a quiet voice, but despite its soft tone and lack of volume it carries to the two of the company's best fighters.
"Tell her we will be right there. I have something to take care of really quick." Sam says to Ashley who nods and hurries off. After Ashley was out of hearing Sam turned upon Dwalin,
"And you...you (smack to the arm) big (smack to the other arm) ignorant (stomp to the right foot) aloof (stomp on the left foot) pompous prat. (Punch to the nose) I can't believe you! You told me that you don't give a shit about what I choose to do. But I go talk to Gloin or Bofur or one of the princes and you go into a jealous fit! You listen to me now, Dwalin youngest son of Fundin. I will talk to whom I wish and you can't do squat about it! (Slap across the face)"
With that she walked away leaving a shocked and slightly ashamed Dwalin behind her.
~after finding Thorin, Rose, Ashley, Macy and Gandalf~
Sam approached the group that was standing next to the entrance of the troll cave. "I told you Thorin that if you touch that again it will give you more than just a test flight. I don't care if your ego gets hurt as long as you don't." Rose said exasperatedly to a surly looking Thorin Grumpypants. Gandalf don't make me have to knock some brains into him. Ah Sami we were just talking about you and YOUR new toy. Where is Dwalin? Ash I thought you said that you told both of them to meet me here."
"He is coming. Now what about my find?"
"Thorin says that you can keep it. Isn't that right Thorin?" Rose finishes by glaring at Thorin
"Yes. I think my father would be proud that HIS war-hammer is wielded by such a fearsome warrior. By Mahal! Dwalin what happened to your face?"
Instead of answering directly Dwalin just scowled at Thorin and looked at Sam, his pride not allowing him to say that he had gotten beat by the woman for a second time. "Rose what was it that you wanted us here for?"
"Well I suppose I should start from the beginning. Thorin Remember how you found us at the Prancing Pony in Bree?"
"Yes. You were looking at a map."
"Gandalf have you ever heard of Earth? Not middle earth but Earth."
"Yes once a long time ago."
~After telling the wizard and two dwarves the story~
"Well that explains a lot. But how is it you know so much about us outside of what this story tells?" Thorin asks
"When you grow up with few friends, one tends to look up stuff about their favorite people so they can imagine them being their best friend. This is what I did. With many books including the one we fell into. Most let childhood things go after a certain age. I let go of many things but never lost my interest in my story book characters. I strove to be like them in personality and skill. I watched how Gimli fought and welded his axes, how Estel fought for the horn burg in helm's deep, how four young hobbits won the loyalty of Men, Elves and Dwarves. I watched their fighting techniques and copied them. I looked for things that didn't matter to the many. I taught myself things that didn't matter in the world Sam, Macy, Ash and I come from. But learned some of the most important lessons of life."
"How did you watch them lass?" Dwalin grumbled
"We have boxes that show moving pictures and lights and gives off sounds called television sets or TVs for short. Movies are one way to watch the moving pictures on the TV. Rose and Sam have watched these movies for at least fifteen years and I know for a fact that Rose has those movies memorized for the most part." Ashley said
"Well she should since she has watched them for close to twenty years now." Macy put in
"And you forget the books and the endless amounts of times that we have read them." Sami said
"Enough. They get the picture." Rose snaps always hating when they do that."
"Rose when we met at the Prancing Pony you introduced yourself as Rose Blazingsword. How did you get such a title? Or is that a last name? I believe that is what you call it correct?" Thorin asks trying to understand things about a world that was until now completely unknown to him
"My last name is Chantel. My title was given to me originally to mock me. When I was sixteen I decided to join a local fencing club. Due to the years I had spent working on a fighting style before I was deemed a natural. Where before I had practiced with weighted branches, I was now given a rapier which I affectionately deemed a 'toad sticker'. The teachers wanted to see just how good I was for an acclaimed novice. I was put against the top student and quickly learned how she had gotten to be thus. She liked to cheat, it was never very noticeable. I was still winning despite her low tricks. In a last attempt she knocked one of the candles that had been put around the sparing area towards me. I dodged the candle but allowed my blade to pass through the flame, somehow it caught fire. To this day I still have no clue how that happened. When the match finished the students mockingly called me Rose Blazingsword. So instead of calling myself Rose Chantel or Rose daughter of Susan I went with Rose Blazingsword. It seemed more fitting for middle earth."
"Aye that it does especially after your little stunt with the fire." Balin says coming up behind the group.
"How is it that you met Ash, Sami, and Macy?" Gandalf asks
"My father was a friend to Macy's dad and two uncles. Sami's dad was one of those two brothers. Macy and I have known each other since infancy. I met Sam at her uncle's house, his wife looked after some of the kids in the area while their parents were away during the day. Ash I met during my time in school."
"Sorry to interrupt this seemingly important talk but there is something coming this way." Kili yells running towards them
"Tell everyone to ready their weapons. I want everyone prepared." Kili nods to his uncle the rushes away "Dwalin take Sam and Macy with you to try and see what this thing might be. It could be something from their books or movies. Balin take Ashley to Oin. He said that he thought that some of the cuts Bifur got were becoming infected, and if we need to leave in a hurry he will have to run." Dwalin and Balin do as told leaving Thorin and Rose alone. "Rose I wanted to talk to you away from everyone else."
"Why? There is nothing to talk about. I don't know how I was able to-"
Thorin interrupts her saying "There is always something to talk about. And I don't care if you don't know how you burnt a troll to a crisp. I want to know how you are holding up. Losing a family member is hard and I am here if you need to talk about it."
"Thorin, I-" Rose starts
"Rose! Thorin! You are going to want to see this!" Bofur yells
