~I only own my Ocs and the chaos they might end up causing Please Review or tell Pm me with ideas. This story is long overdue for a fixer upper. I am still looking for a beta. If anyone would want to volunteer that would be great! Just leave me a comment or PM me saying so. For any and all mistakes I take full credit. I am currently going back through my fic and fixing some mistakes and maybe adding or cutting some things out. Thank you to my reviewers, and the people who followed and or favorited my story. This chapter will follow only bits of the movie, I have to change it to fit the OCs. OCs in this story are based off of people in real life that I see almost every day, and yes they really do have these personalities. No flames, the dragon fire later in this fanfic will be hot enough for me thank you. Now on with the story!~
P.S. This is now officially an AU
Anything in elvish will be in bold

As I followed Alex I kept thinking about what Raweru said about the clothes that the elves will have laid out for us. I hate dresses and flat out won't wear them. Rose has never been a fan of the damn things either but she will at least wear them if she has no other choice or if it is protocol. While I was thinking we had already reached the rooms.
"These are your rooms. Sam yours is the second one on the right. Ash yours is third, Macy fourth. Charlie is the sixth door on the left. I am down the first corridor we passed third door on the left. One of the elves should come get you when it is time for dinner." I nodded and approached my assigned room. I went in and closed the door behind me. On the bed wear two outfits. The first was a dress. It was black with a long skirt and silver trim around the bottom, along the modest neckline, decorating the ends of the sleeves and outlining the waist line. It was an automatic no. The second choice was not unlike the outfit that Arwen will wear in sixty years to go find and rescue the hobbits from the nazgul, it just was split two pieces. I put it on and it fit perfectly. The long leather top was black and ended when it hit the back of my knees. The front opened to show my legs that were covered with the leggings. I suppose the top could be described as a vest with a long back and sleeves that had small silver animals playing along the seams. The collar of the top was almost non-existent. The sleeves stopped just before the wrists and ended in a point. The bottoms were a dark silver with lighter silver blending in to create an illusion of liquid flowing silver. The bottoms wear held up by a black belt with a raven and wolf belt buckle of light silver.
"Screw the dress I am wearing this!" I said and buckled one of my smaller axes to the belt. After doing that I grabbed my amulet and put it around my neck and waited for someone to come get me for supper.

When we reached the rooms Sami went into the second room on the right, Macy the fourth on the right. Charlie went into the sixth room on the left. I went into the third room on the right as Alex walked away. After I entered the room I closed the door with a soft thump behind me. Hanging on the back on a chair in front of the vanity was a dark purple dress with square neckline and long flowing silver sleeves. There was a silver strip that outlined the natural waist line. The hems on the neckline and the bottom of the dress were both the same shade of silver as the sleeves. I slip it on and it fits me like a dream. Then I sit at the vanity to do my hair while I wait for supper.
(Macy)
I walked into my room and heard someone shut the door for me. On the bed was a dark pink and purple dress with flowing light purple sleeves and a modestly low neck line. I put it on and looked into a nearby mirror. I pulled the corset strings for the top tight and tied them. It fit beautifully. The top was pink and the bottom was a royal purple. The pink ended at my waist in a point. The purple flowed down the rest of the dress from that point. I wonder what the other girls' dresses look like.
"I can't wait to see Sami in a dress" I cackle to myself while brushing out my blond and purple tipped hair.
(Rose's Pov after Ash, Sam, and Macy's povs)
I followed Raweru's directions to my room and found it easily. I opened the door silently and walked in. I didn't bother to shut the door behind me and went straight over to the bed. On it lay a velvet dress of forest green. I slipped it on and did up the back of the dress. Due to the corset top the dress out that showed off the top half of my figure before flowing into an A-line skirt. It had a sweet heart neckline that was hemmed by a pale gold ribbon. The tight fitting green sleeves that were the same color as the rest of the dress but still allowed for a wide range of motion. The sleeves ended with a sort of see through gold material that I was unable to name. Other than the fact it was a dress it screamed me. I looked into the mirror and noticed that while my friends had bathed earlier I had not and my hair looked greasy because of that fact. I looked around the room and saw a basin of water on the vanity. It gave me an idea. I imagined the water washing all the muck and filth from my hair and face but not getting anything else wet. I felt as the water massaged my scalp and rinsed my face. I opened my eyes and looked at the girl with wet hair and face in the mirror. I grabbed a towel from beside the now empty basin and proceeded to dry my face and hair. Seeing that my thick hair was still pretty wet I thought about blow driers and drying my hair with the wind on boat rides. Wind! That's the answer to my dilemma.
I whistled softly and felt the breeze enter the room. I brushed my hands through my hair and watched as the wind dried it in less than five minutes. I released the wind and once more brushed through my hair with my fingers this time trying to get rid of the knots and snarls the wind had caused. I looked into the mirror on the vanity. My hair was at least clean looking now but that was the only good thing about it. It was frizzy and poofed out from my head like an affro.
"Damn it! I need a brush." I said pounding my fist against the wood of the vanity. I jumped when I heard a knock at my door.
"Who is it?" I called rubbing my fist not because it was sore but to stop myself from doing something stupid.
"I'm Alya. My lord Elrond sent me to see if you need anything. May I come in?"
"Of course, please do." I heard the door open and Alya gasp
"Oh you poor dear! Here let me help!" She said and before I could so much as shake my head, Alya had me seated I front of the vanity.
"We have to do something about your hair my dear."
"Do you have a brush?"
"Yes right here." she said reaching into one of the vanity drawers and pulling out a brush made of shiny metal and polished wood. She handed it to me and said that she would be right back. While I was attacking the mop of hair on my head Alya had gone to get three other elves to see if Sami, Macy, and Ashley needed anything. By the time Alya had returned I had gotten about half way through the mess of hair. Alya came over and handed me the elves' version of hair detangler and put a box on the vanity top. She took the brush from me and started to apply a generous amount of the cream to her hands and work them through my hair. As if by magic my hair tamed in seconds no brush required. But I still ran the brush through my hair once more just to be sure.
"Guren *glassui, mello min. Agorel vae."
"You are welcome Hiril vuin."
"I am no lady. I fight like a man. I act like a man. I was raised like a boy. The only differences are that I use common sense and I have a woman's body."
"That is where you are wrong Mellon. Lady Arwen is the same except she only acts like a male on the training fields. It seems to me that everywhere is your training fields. Now hush and close your eyes and let me do your hair."
I did as told and closed my eyes. When I was finally told to open them my mouth dropped open like a fish gasping for water. Alya had made three braids on both sides of my head and then pulled and braided all six together behind my head into an elegant but complex braid I could never in a million years hope to replicate.
"Guren *glassui, mello min. Guren *glassui." I exclaim and get up to hug Alya.
"Well mellon I am glad that you like it."
"It is beautiful. Not a word I usually use in reference to anything about me."
"Well let's see if my present to you also gets such high praise." She says chuckling and reaches for the box. When she opens it I can see the circlet inside. It is pale gold like hems of my dress. It weaves back and forth before coming together in the middle and dipping into a point. The point held six stones. One diamond, one opal, one lapis, one ruby, and one emerald. The other stones surrounded the onyx which was the largest of the small stones. I put it on and it like the dress fit perfectly.
"Hey Rose! It's time for supper." Ash called from outside the door.
"Be right out!" I called back I turned to thank Alya once more to find her gone. I pondered that then shrugged, I would probably see her later.
(No one's Pov)
Rose joined her friends out in the hall and Alex lead the way towards dinner. They rounded the corner in time to see Bofur climbing on to the table saying, "Alright lads there is only one thing for it."
Once on the table he began to sing while clapping his hands and stomping his feet.
There's an inn,
there's an inn, a merry ol' inn
Now the rest of the dwarves other than Thorin began to sing/ chat with Bofur. They stomped their feet, clapped their hands, banged their silver ware and just generally found some way of keeping the beat.
Beneath an old gray hill,
And there they brew a beer so brown
That the man in the moon himself came down
one night to drink his fill
It was at this point in Bofur's lively song that Rose, the girls and Charlie were seen by dwarf on the table. The looks on their faces were so varied that Bofur quit singing. When Bofur stopped half way through the song everyone looked towards what had caught the dwarf's attention. To say that the company was gob-smacked would like calling the hoard of Thror a bunch of pocket change. The boy, Ashley and Alex were shocked to see Bofur on the table while, Macy looked like she was about ready to jump up there with him. Sam was amused and Rose's a blank mask that gave no insight to her thoughts on the situation. Only Thorin noticed the twinkle of mischief in her golden eyes.
"Well don't stop singing on our account Bofur. Here allow me to finish the song. Come on now lads where is that beat you had going." Rose said striding towards the table
"Gloin could you help me up? This damned dress gets in the way." She said once she reached the table. Gloin just nodded dumbstruck. Now on the table Rose turned to Bofur
"You didn't expect me to do that now did you?" She stated her eyes still twinkling. And she began the song where the dwarves left off, ignoring the stern looks Lord Elrond sent her way.
Oooooooh
The ostler has a tipsy cat
that plays a five-stringed fiddle;
And up and down he saws his bow
Now squeaking High,
now purring low
The shock that had filled everyone in the room was still in place on all but the dwarves who had sung and pounded away earlier. They sung with Rose. Her voice still slightly louder than all of their's. She was helped off the table and started to swirl around in a dance with those who knew the steps.
Now sawing in the middle
So the cat on the fiddle played Hey-diddle-diddle,
a jig that'll wake the dead:
He squeaked and sawed and quickened the tune,
While the land lord shook the man in the moon: 'It's after three!' he said.
When the song ended those who had danced the jig with Rose sat down exhausted, while she stood not a hair out of place not looking like she had just danced a hearty dance. She was smiling a smile that reached her eyes something that company hadn't seen her do before. Rose spoke and her joy colored her voice, "Thank you for dancing with me Bofur, Gloin, Fili, Kili, Nori. That song has always been one of my favorites." She then turned to their host. "My apologies for our tardiness to supper and for dancing and singing on your tables. I forgot my manners in favor of actually enjoying a dance and good fun for the first time in many years. I am sure that you can understand that as both a father and someone who lost their beloved."
"You are not late your dinner. As for singing and dancing on the table and your explanation for it. I can more than understand. Please come sit there is a spot for you next to Gandalf. And for your friends there are spots all around the table." He said and his eyes showed his understanding.
~The next chapter will be Thorin's thought while this is happening. Well what did you think? Review and let me know.~
