Rei stood with her head hung low and her fists shaking at her sides. Do not fall in the pit of vengeance. Rei could hear Serena talking in her head. Don't let him die without cause.
Rei ignored Serena's voice. It was the same brat who never learned to accept reality and give up.
You will listen to me! This is not a game. There will be not tomorrow if you do not listen to me now. We need you Rei. Do not think this is over. This is not over until we say it is. This is not a option you will accept your oath and you will help us avenge Darien and protect out home.
Serena rose. Her eyes were open revealing blank white orbs. "So Serenity has decided to fight." Ataxia laughed.
"Deadly Crystal Spear." Serena's voice was hallowing, and enchanting as dark purple shards rushed to Ataxia. The black-eyed woman simply smacked them away and she delivered a kick to Serena. Serena slammed a fist into Ataxia's stomach, "Crystal Electric Strike!" Ataxia screamed out in pain as she fell to ground. Serena moved it but was cut of suddenly by a attack of coughs. As her hand moved away from her mouth Seiya saw blood on her hand.
"What is wrong with Serena?" Seiya could only ask Setsuna as the scouts gathered around him in an attempt to figure out the next course of action.
"Serena is trying to combine all the crystalline powers but she doesn't have Mars's. The attack is backfiring on her-"
"REI! WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU JUST STANDING THERE! Our princess is busting her ass out there for you! I don't care what she did, or how you feel, we need you!" Everyone turned to Ami shocked at her language.
"That's right Rei! Every time we have beaten an enemy, you were there. We can't do this without you!" Mina stepped forward.
"Serena… She's not doing this for Earth. Rei. She's doing this for you! We miss you Rei! You… you're infuriating, pretentious, and judgmental, and we love you…" Hotaru was screamed at the top of her lungs.
"That's right Rei, once a sailor scout, always a sailor scout." Haruka smiled.
"Guys…" Rei fell to her hands and knees into rib racking sobs. "Mina… I'm sorry."
Ataxia screeched one more time before flying through the air. Serena turned around blood falling from her lips and her uniform torn. "That's right we love you Rei. Now come back to us quickly. I will hold off Ataxia as long as I can. Scouts it time to fight."
The scouts started to attack the youkai as Rei saw herself slowly fade away. She wasn't scared. She knew where she was going… home.
