I'm so sorry for the delay! I'm having trouble with fanfiction and internet connection! I know this chapter is short, I promise the next one will be much longer! Enjoy!

"Well little sister, what are you going to do now." Sebastian asked, grinning like he was winning.

Clary glared at him, hating him for what he was forcing her to do. "Why couldn't you just be a brother to me? Why are you doing all this?" Clary found herself asking. She had been fighting back her tears before, but now they fell freely down her cheeks.

Sebastian seemed to take delight in her misery. "I'm doing nothing but asking you to join me so we can come out on top of the ashes that this world will soon resemble."

"This world has done nothing to you!" Clary exclaimed. "Valentine raised you to be the way you are. He raised you to be his weapon. To him, you weren't a son. You were a force not to be reckoned with. If you stopped being so angry at everyone, we could find a way to get along." Clary hoped he would at least consider her words.

Instead he laughed.

He laughed like she had told him that their father was alive and wearing a sparkly glittered suit.

"Something funny?" She hissed.

"After everything we've been through, you think that if I make a personality change that I'll be forgiven? I'm disappointed little sister. Is that all you have to offer? A childish fantasy?"

"What else am I suppose to do? I want to stay with my family. I want no part in your plans and I'm not going to let to destroy the world because of a stupid grudge."

Clary saw his eye twitch. She wasn't sure whether to be happy or scared that she had obviously hit a nerve. "A grudge?! You think I've done what I've done because of a grudge?! Oh little sister, you're very much mistaken. I'm not going to destroy this world because of a grudge. I'm destroying this world to clense it of everything that has already damaged it and I plan to start anew."

"What?"

"Demons have been pouring into this world aggresively. No matter how many Nephilm there is, there will always be demons in this world. But, if we eradicate everything in this world, we can start again. We can finally be ahead of the demons and take them out before the world is overrun by them again."

"But if you kill everything in this world, there won't be anyone to fight off demons!" Clary objected. Her brother was no longer talking crazy. He was talking from insanity.

"Why do you think I'm recruiting dark shadowhunters? You know the effects the infernal cup has given first hand. Tell me, do you feel power? Do you feel like you cold rip a century old oak tree from its roots?"

Clary shook her head. "You must have known the cup would have had a different effect on me."

Sebastian smirked. "Of course I did. I wasn't sure what would be different, but I knew you would be different. As far as I can tell, you are just more in charge of yourself than the others. You don't seem stronger or faster than the others, but I can safely say, you are by far, more capable of fighting than you were a few days ago. Be a real shame to lose all that by killing us both now."

Clary refused to take her eyes off her brother. She slowly realised he hadn't tried to step near her. He stayed where he was. Suspicious, Clary asked "Why aren't you trying to kidnap me again?"

Sebastian was surprised by her question. "Do you want me to kidnap you?" He asked before a sly grin spread on his face. "Do you want the others to think I kidnapped you so they think you're still innocent?"

"Of course not! I was asking because you seem very determined on me going with you. But I'm out here with no back up and you haven't made any attempt to force me to go with you."

"What's the point of forcing you to come with me when all you would do is get us both killed?"

"So in other words, you think you can convince me to go with you willingly?"

Sebastian smirked. "Of course. Can you see anything wrong with my plans?"

"Yes! You're basically asking me to help you kill everything in the world! How can you not see the problem with that?!"

"So people die? Humans are killed everyday as it is. They're killed by their own immunity, mortality and demons. Together, we can emilinate at least one of those threats."

"There won't be any humans to save if you kill them all!" Clary shouted before a realisation sprang to mind. "You want to eliminate both demons and humans?"

Sebastian smirked. "You catch on quick little sister. It is the ideal plan. Afterall, what's the point of allowing humans to live in a world they know next to nothing of protecting themselves of?"

Clary stared at her brother in disbelief. "I can come up with a lot of reasons for why that's a bad idea. I won't let you go through with it."

"What are you going to do little sister? You're not going to kill me, so what else is there for you except for you to join me and together we can stand on top of this world as it burns."

"What makes you think I won't kill you?" Clary gritted out, hating how much he underestimated her.

"I may not understand it, but I know you won't leave your children without a mother. You're not going to leave the Lightwood girl in pain because of your parabatai connection. You won't leave your family to grieve. And I certainly know you won't leave Jace."

Clary didn't question how he knew Isabelle was her parabatai. He had already admitted that he had been watching her. But each point he made, fuelled her anger. How dare he try and appeal to her loving side! How dare he speak of her family!

From her waist, Clary drew out a dagger Maryse of all people had given her a few minutes ago. She still kept her eyes on her brother. She watched his expression change from triumphant to wary and cautious.

"You know what? You're not a very good judge of character." Clary said before pointing the knife towards where her heart was.

Sebastian's expression was now shocked. His eyes were wide and his mouth was gaping.

"Don't be stupid Clary! Put the dagger down!" He demanded. Clary took momentary joy as she saw him distraught, but she soon realised that he was distraught because she was about to kill them both.

Clary took a deep breath, still watching her brother.

She slowly exhaled and said "Goodbye...big brother."

She pushed the dagger into her heart.

She watched Sebastian fall to his knees as he clutched his chest. Clary could see blood on the white shirt he wore and knew the connection had succeeded in playing its role.

Clary heard someone screaming. She knew it was Isabelle.

Her vision was becoming slightly blurry. With whatever strength she had left, Clary shouted "Help!", hoping someone would hear and come and help her.

She didn't find out if anyone came to her aid. The darkness took over all of her sensations.

I love you Jace, Max, Alexus...

Don't hate me, I just have a really good idea (In my opinion) and I wanted to try it out!

I don't want to say too much, I want the next chapter to be a surprise ;)

Till next time ~Maraudergirl68448
