Chapter 8

Vegeta stood in front of Goku spellbound," Kakarot..."

"Vegeta...know that it is taking me all my courage to ask you that," Goku looked up tears in his eyes,"PLEASE SAY YES!"

Vegeta looked at Goku and intertwined his tail with Goku's,"Yes. I will happily be your life mate."

Goku smiled and Vegeta turned away trying to unsuccessfully hide his blush. Goku grabbed Vegeta and kissed him. He didn't mean to scare Vegeta with the gesture, but he did. The prince jumped backwards as Goku released him blushing,"Sorry Geta..."

Vegeta walked off his arms crossed, nose high in the air, and a light tint of pink on his cheeks. He looked at the door where Trunks' nest was and walked in.

"Father?"

"Yes Trunks it's just me."

"Father...Where's Goten? It's too dark in here..."

Vegeta pulled away the curtains and looked at Trunks as the natural light flooded across his face,"Better?"

Trunks nodded and looked at Vegeta. He flicked his lavender tail for his father to come closer to the nest. Vegeta stepped a bit closer to the nest and sat down. Trunks flicked his tail again and patted a spot next to him on the nest. Vegeta sat next to his son as Trunks wrapped his tail around Vegeta's wrist and fell into a deep sleep. Vegeta looked bewildered at his son's sudden actions. But he sat there dozing off and suddenly he was asleep with his son.

A couple of hours later he was awoken by a furious Goten,"Get. Away."

"Don't blame me. Your son cares about me and wanted to feel safe. He knows I as well as you would give our lives to protect him and the cub's lives."

Goten sighed and sat at the edge of the nest. He watched Trunks' soft breaths and looked at Vegeta,"I only trust you to fend off enemies from my mate you know that? I only act stronger than you because I want him to know I would to anything for him..."

"As would I Goten."

Goten looked up at the mention of his name and smiled at Vegeta,"Thank you for protecting him...If you want you can rest again."

Vegeta nodded and looked at Trunks,"Get meat for when he wakes up. He's gonna be starving."

Goten nodded and left, closing the door silently behind him.

~3 weeks later~

"Goten!"

'Yes Trunks?"

"I want more boar meat."

"Again?"

"Who's the pregnant one here? Now go get me meat!"

Goten nodded and left through the window. Vegeta snickered as he and Goku entered Trunks' nesting room,"Working him to death huh?" Vegeta remarked.

"I don't think it's very funny," Goku said looking at the two princes who glared at him.

"Are you the pregnant one?"

"Well no, but-"

"But?"

"I want to be...But i never mentioned it to this hothead because he would say no."

"WHO EVER SAID I WOULD SAY NO YOU IDIOT?!" Vegeta yelled furious. Of course he wanted a full blooded saiyan heir! He's not the brat type of person with all the pooping, screaming, and crying. But he'll deal with it one way or another. Hopefully.

"So yes?!"
