Chapter 13

Goten looked at Bunny and smiled at her," Um...Mrs. Briefs? By any chance-"

"You can have something to drink? There's tea in the refrigerator dear." Bunny smiled at Goten and continued to wash the dishes.

"Thanks..." Goten looked in the fridge for the tea and watched as Daizu sat down with his chin in his hand. Trunks sat next to him and looked at him curiously.

"Um...you're Daizu right? You and my mate seem to be getting along."

Daizu looked sideways at Trunks,"You know...You're a handsome saiyan. Not as good looking as my soul mate, but you're almost there."

"Who's your soul mate? Is he handsome?" Trunks smiled at Daizu and then looked at his stomach,"Goten and me are having a baby."

"I know." Daizu smiled at Trunks,"My soul mate told me."

"Who's your soul mate?"

Daizu looked at Goten who set the pitcher and the glasses on the table,"Daizu can I talk to you? Now!" Goten yelled at him through clenched teeth.

Daizu nodded at the angry teen,"Yes?" Daizu looked at Goten.

"I swear to Kami if you dare tell Trunks that you are my life mate I will personally kill you!" Goten yelled at Daizu in saiyanese," I don't want him thinking that I'm going to leave him! He doesn't need that fear on his shoulders! He's still my mate at the moment so if you say a word I'LL SLAY YOU WHERE YOU STAND YOU COCKY SAIYAN BASTARD!" Goten looked angerly at a scared Daizu. Daizu started to tear up.

"Goten...I wasn't going to tell him...I just..."

"Want me to leave him so bad you would risk my child's health?! One more slip up Daizu and you won't be prince anymore."

Daizu bowed his head and looked at Goten tears streaming down his face,"Alright...I'll keep my distance from your mate..." Daizu ran back inside bumping into Goku on the way in.

"Goten power down."

"He threatened my relationship with Trunks!"

"GOTEN! YOU DON'T REALIZE YOU TURNED SUPER SAIYAN?! YOU SCARED THE POOR BOY! NOW POWER DOWN!"

Goten powered down and looked at his father. He furiously wiped at his face to keep tears from falling. He broke down into Goku's arms when the man hugged him tightly. Vegeta stood at the door and looked at Trunks who was sitting at the table," Trunks. There's something you need to know about the two saiyans."

"Yeah Dad. I'm all ears."

Vegeta looked at the ceiling, Kami help me, he thought looking at Trunks,"Daizu is Goten's soul mate. Daizu came only to find him and mate him."

Trunks looked down at his stomach and rubbed gentle circles in the flesh,"Tell me the truth father...Will he leave me?"

'That Trunks...I don't know." Trunks got up from his seat and walked up the stairs to his nesting room. He lied down on the soft pelts of animal fur. He curled into a ball and started to sob. His body shaking. He felt someone sit next to him. Trunks looked up at his father and shook his head not believing it.

"I may not do it often, but Trunks I do care about you. Lay down right here," Vegeta pats his chest and waits for Trunks to take his offer. Trunks sobbed even more and buried his face in Vegeta's chest. Vegeta looked at Trunks and rubbed his son's back," You'll be ok...It's all gonna be ok Trunks..." Vegeta looked at Trunks and wrapped the blanket around Trunks. The purple-haired boy soon feel asleep Vegeta looked at him and sighed. He feel asleep soon after his son.

~2 months later~

Raditz checked Trunks's progress and nodded at him, "The child is doing great. No problems. A little stressed but other than that this is a healthy pregnancy."

Trunks nodded at the former saiyan guard and watched his father talk to Goku. Goku looked at Vegeta a frown plastered on his face as his father recited something he couldn't hear. Trunks flicked his tail and looked at Raditz," Do you have any clue where my mate went?"

"Last time I saw him he was with Daizu ,Prince Trunks." Raditz looked at his brother and Vegeta.

Vegeta nodded at Raditz," I'll take my leave, Prince Trunks. Stay in your nest and eat plenty. you'll be fine then." Raditz walked out of the room. Vegeta looked at Goku, pecked his mate's cheek, then shooed him away. Vegeta looked at Trunks and looked at Trunks's nest,"He's upset. Like you are Trunks."

"Are you worried about Goten?" Trunks rubbed his 5 month stomach. It was getting soft, but didn't have any hint of him being pregnant yet.

"More about you. You're child can't take much stress." Vegeta pulled off his gloves and sighed,"May I?" He motions to the nest to sit. Trunks nodded and watched Vegeta sit next to him in the nest. Trunks leaned on Vegeta's shoulder. Normally such displays of affection Vegeta never tolerated, but Trunks was...well...Trunks. His only son and heir. His PREGNANT son. So he will tolerate it for Trunks since it brought the younger saiyan calm and peace.

"Father? How long does the pregnancy last?" Trunks looked at Vegeta with soft eyes.

"The pregnancy is a year long. So the child can develop properly."

Trunks nodded and perked up,"Goten is back...with Daizu..."

"What did you expect? For him to kill the other whilst on their outing?" Vegeta asked raising an eyebrow.

"No. It's just that...I don't see Goten anymore."

"You don't enjoy my company?" Vegeta questioned.

"Father you know in this time you are the only one who keeps me calm..."

Goten entered the room with Daizu," Um...Are we intruding?"

"No." Vegeta answered Trunks looking at Goten's arms.

"Is that fish?" The pregnant saiyan asked.

Goten nodded,"I made more pillows for you too. and an extra blanket." Goten motions to Daizu who is holding the furs,"Don't worry he didn't help." Goten looks at Trunks and hands him the fish. He places the fur blanket and pillows in the nest next to Vegeta trying to avoid the prince's gaze. he leaves and shuts the door.

"Father?"

"Yes Trunks?"

"Can you sleep here? in the bed. You don't have to sleep in the bed cause I know you have Goku so..."

Vegeta looks at Trunks and sighs," I'm sleeping here to keep you safe alright? And the baka can sleep in the bed. I'm staying here."

Trunks smiles and puts the forgotten fish on the floor," Thank you Father."
