Chapter 14

Trunks was leaning against Vegeta's chest softly breathing in his sleep. Vegeta rubbed Trunks's back and sighed contently. He was tired of Goten "hanging out" with Daizu. Vegeta felt a power spike then a loud slap. Vegeta left Trunks only to see his mate slapping Goten across the face.

"You have a duty to your mate Goten! Uphold that duty! My mate is having to watch him because all you want to do is go out with Daizu! Trunks is tired and I'm personally sick and tired of you going out when your mate needs you!" Goku growled and screamed the words in Goten's face making the demi-saiyan shake in fear and anger at his father. Vegeta walked up to Goku and grabbed his arm. He softly rubbed it and looked up at his mate's angry face. Goku was clearly PISSED. Goku looked at Vegeta and half smiled at him.

"I'm ok Vegeta. Go back with Trunks. I'm fine. You need to be with him since my baka of a son isn't." Goku said growling back at Goten,"We'll go somewhere you won't be disturbed ok?" Goku grabbed Goten by his shirt and began to drag the teen away. Goten looked ashamed.

"Don't kill him Kakarot! Your harpy will never forgive you!" Vegeta called after him as his mate ITed away.

"Um..." Vegeta turned around to look at Azuki," May I talk to you?"

Vegeta raised an eyebrow before following the shy saiyan girl. She turned to him and looked away,"I also came to Earth for my soul mate."

"Who is it?" Vegeta didn't have time for this. His son was unguarded and vulnerable.

The girl looked up at Vegeta and sighed," Since we only see the shadows of our soul mates I'm not certain but I think it's-"

"FATHER! FATHER WHERE ARE YOU?!"

Vegeta sighed,"Can we talk about this later? My son needs me."

Azuki nodded and watched as Vegeta walked away. Vegeta walked into Trunks's nesting room and looked at his son. He saw the tears streaking down his son's face.

"Trunks are you ok?"

"Father...My soul mate..."

Vegeta looked at Trunks and then sat in front of his son,"Who is it Trunks? Who?"

Trunks scrubbed at his crying face with the back of his hand,"I...I don't know...I don't know who it is...but they're here...my soul mate is here...It...looked like Gohan but I'm not sure...I'm so confused Father!" New tears started to stream down Trunks's face. Vegeta hugged Trunks then sighed,"Go back to sleep Trunks. I promise I'll confront Gohan. Just sleep. I'll get Raditz to watch you."

Vegeta found Raditz moments later,"Watch Trunks. I need to go talk to Kakarot's eldest brat." Raditz nodded and Vegeta soon left. He found Gohan's ki in a park and landed next to the man,"Gohan."

Gohan turned to Vegeta and nodded,"Hey Vegeta long time no see."

Vegeta dismissed the greeting and looked Gohan straight in the eye,"Are you still having soul mate dreams brat?"

"Um...Why Vegeta?"

"Answer the damned question!"

"Yes."

"Who are you dreaming of?"

"...You'll kill me if I told you..."

"Damn it boy! This is not time for games!"

"I-I'm...dreaming of...Trunks..."

"My son?"

"No...Marai."

Vegeta scowled and then felt Azuki land next to him,"Can we talk now?"

"I'm busy girl!" Vegeta yelled in saiyanese. He was getting tired of her antics.

"It's about your son's soul mate."

"What of it?"

"I..."

"Girl you come here to bother me now you won't talk?! Spit it out woman!"

"I'M YOUR SON'S SOUL MATE!"

And there it is, Gohan thought. He had been talking to Azuki for a couple of days about the situation, but was sworn to secrecy.

Vegeta looked surprised at the girl,"Lies! My son's soul mate couldn't be you!"

"Why the hell not?! Cause you don't like my brother?! Is that it?! You aren't the only one who has been providing for the pregnant one! What was my soul mate's name? Trunks? I've been feeding him and staying with him. He leaves his nest just to talk to me! I cut my damn hair because his dream was too shady! He needed the proof!"

Vegeta sighed. She was right. He couldn't see into Trunks's mind. So when did Trunks ever go to see Azuki or when did she ever go to see him?

~Meanwhile with Goku and Goten~

Goku blocked a punch to his face then landed a kick to Goten's stomach in retaliation,"Goten. You. Are. An. Idiot!"

"Look...who's...talking!" Goten kicked his father in the back and sighed as Goku quickly got back up and turned super saiyan. Goten sat on the ground cross legged. He was done. He had to break the bond with Trunks once the baby was born. He was stupid for leaving Trunks on his own to deal with this, but he wasn't so stupid to risk his child's safety. Vegeta soon landed near the sparring duo with Azuki. He looked at the girl then watched Goten get bitch slapped by a furious Goku,"You're pathetic!"

"Kami Dad! Let it go! He's my mate not yours!"

"He won't be your mate for long. Azuki is not just here to accompany her brother. She is here to also claim her soul mate." Vegeta said and glared at Goten.

"And you're implying my mate is destined to be with HER?" Goten pointed at Azuki.

"She's taking better care of her than you are." Vegeta said.

Vegeta looked at Goku and then smirked at his mate,"Vegeta?"

"Yes Kakarot?"

"Are you..."

"Yes. For two weeks now."

Last thing they all heard was a loud thud.

LOL Goku fainted! HAHAHA! Next time on LRNB!
