Emmett's POV

Vastel and I kept a close eye on Elijah, especially when Isabella was around him. Really, I wanted to run into the room and rip his head off, however, Isabella would probably kill me herself. Then, the more I thought about it, the more it became sense. This "Elijah" was probably the shadow demon. It was him that killed me and wanted to kill Dominic. The question was why didn't he kill Dominic?

I sat next to Isabella, pulling her closer to me as she was talking "Elijah." But I couldn't just sit there and wait for something to happen. He needed to be killed, and today was going to be the day. Maybe I would be able to get one of the newborns pissed and kill Elijah. The only thing I was going to hate about it was Isabella being upset about it. It was going to her hurt, nonetheless. But I couldn't help but keep her safe. She had to be safe.. it was my main goal until the day I die.

I then looked around the room, trying to find Vastel. But he was no where to be seen. Then I thought about him having to suddenly leave when a vampire was killed. The Volturi was probably finding any rebels or people who have even talked to Isabella and kill them. I shook my head at the loss that we could have had another vampire on our side. Such a big waste.

"Emmett, you alright?" Isabella asked.

"Yes... just a bit distracted." I answered. She nodded and turned back to Elijah.

I sighed again and bit back a growl when Elijah touched Isabella's hand. The bastard was good, I'll give him that. He was acting like Elijah would if he was alive, happy to see his sister, and protective. I knew he was trying to pull him away from me, but it was impossible. He was just wasting his time.

"Alright. We need to start training." Isabella announced.

We all walked out into the backyard and Vastel popped out of nowhere, standing close like he usually did.

I sighed and glared at him.

"Someone died." He whispered. "Poor guy didn't have a chance. The Volturi are killing anybody who look like would join Isabella. They are not taking any chances. Just like we should not be taking any chances."

"First off, space." I said. And he backed up. "Second of all, you're the one that controls the death of vampires, why can't you bring him back?"

"I have rules to follow. When the time of their death meets, it meets and it stays. Your death was early."

"Vastel, that makes no sense. When I died, shouldn't I have stayed? Why do I get to come back and the other guy gets to stay?"

"It is hard to explain. My superiors specifically told me to take you back to human earth. I was not allowed to pass you on." He said. "On top of that, I do not know the date of their deaths."

"You said you did."

"No. I have a guess of when. The superiors know their true dates." He said.

"Vas, you're confusing the shit out of me." I said. "Why don't you just break the rules?"

"If I disobey the heavens, I will be cut off. They can take my powers away. And we both know I need them. So no, I will not disobey."

"Your superiors, who are they?"

"I do not know."

"You don't know?"

Isabella walked in and stared at us. "Okay, I'm glad you guys are friends and all, but we have work to do. So get your butts outside."

"Sorry." I whispered.

Vastel and I stepped outside. Elijah seemed to get a little tense, like he usually does when Vastel was around him. Maybe it was a demon versus angel hate thing. The more Elijah reacted the more I thought it was him. All the evidence pointed to him.

Isabella and Maria were talking about how to defend yourself, while Peter and Jasper would act it out. The wolves would have some trouble with attacking a vampire, considering the vampire could easily jump onto their back and crush them. It's something that Isabella and I would have to discuss. We were not going to let the pack easily open like that, and I knew she was probably thinking about it herself.

Vastel was asked to try and fight, which he easily accomplished. He acted like a vampire as much as he could. Isabella was a little skeptical about him, narrowing her eyes at him as he walked past her, but she hasn't said a word. Maybe she would say something to me tonight... Hell, even question me.

We then broke apart into smaller groups. I was with Isabella, of course. Maria, Peter, and Jasper were trying to fight against me being in her group, saying I would be
"distracted" and would get myself killed in the fight. Which was true, but who was going to win against Isabella? No one... not even myself or Vastel...

With that being said, I was distracted. The others that I was with would use Isabella as bait and catch me off guard. Then they would "kill" me. Vastel, since I insisted on him being in my group, always slapped me against the head and then Isabella's face showed nothing but disappointment. Was I trying? Of course. It's a lot harder than people realize. It's Isabella's life on stake.. I wasn't going to let that one go, even when I do die. Hell, when I do die, hopefully I can haunt some people's asses.

Maybe Edward...

Four hours later, we were walking back into the house. The pack was tired, meaning they needed a break. Isabella wasn't walking anywhere near me, since she was upset with me. The last four hours were hell. My personal hell. And the confusing thing about this was, I'm usually not this bad. I mean, I was protective over Rosalie, no doubt about that. But Isabella... it's different. I'd die for her any time of day. Even though she didn't like it, she'd do the exact same thing to me.

"Emmett, can we talk?" Isabella asked.

I nodded and we walked up the stair to our bedroom. She closed the door and sat in the middle of the bed, with her head hanging down. If a vampire could cry, she would be doing just that right now. I didn't need to be Jasper to feel how she was feeling. It was all in her body movement.

"I'm sorry Bells." I said, lying my head in her lap.

Nothing was said after that. I became even more depressed about my death that was arriving. I completely hit me as I was lying with her. Then I thought back to what I said earlier... I don't want to die.

I don't want to lose Isabella.

I don't want to leave my family.

I don't want to die...

Everything meant too much to me at the moment. It hurt just thinking about this. And then it really hit me.

I have a month left...

A month until the fight.

A month until my death.

About an hour later, I heard something crash downstairs. The first thing I thought was the Volturi being here.

Turns out it was an idiot newborn breaking Isabella's vase. He got his ass handed to him until freaking Jasper had to remind Isabella that I broke one of her vases before I "died." Luckily she didn't do anything, yet. I knew it would happen soon.

We went back to training for another four hours. This time I wasn't in Isabella's group and I was doing exceptionally better with Peter. Elijah was in Jasper's group and Edward was literally beating his face in. I think it was the first time I saw Vastel smile.

When we finished, we walked back inside. Maria stayed outside with the newborns, trying to get them more aware of what was going to happen. She straight up told them they had a high possibility of dying, but it didn't scare any one of them.

"I'm going to go out with Vastel." I whispered to Isabella. "I'll be right back."

Vastel and I left the house before Isabella could say anything or stop us. There weren't many places we could go to, considering it was an island. We only walked to the other side to talk in private.

"Anything on Elijah?" Vastel asked.

"I haven't seen anything yet." I said.

"There seems to be an eerie feeling on him and everybody feels it." He said. "I just don't exactly know what it is."

I nodded. I looked around the island, trying to come up with something for Elijah. However, I had my doubts. I remembered the conversation that he had with Isabella, about her protecting everybody and the love she had for me. That was apart of my consideration; however, Elijah is dead yet he walks around this island. Even Vastel said he passed him on. Then I started to think even more. Vastel only passes on the supernatural, vampires for instance. Was Elijah a vampire when he died?

"You only pass on the supernatural. You passed on Elijah right?" I asked him.

"Yes."

"So Elijah was a vampire?"

"Not necessarily. I do not just pass on vampires, all types of supernatural. Demons, werewolves, shape-shifters, angels, vampires. Elijah could range from any of those." Vastel said.

"Vastel, for crying out loud, you're the one that passed on Elijah, how do you not know what Elijah was?"

"I don't exactly stand there and have a conversation with them when they died. I pass them and move on to the next supernatural being."

"Do you have any guess of what he could be? Something that would be able to come back from... from wherever you passed him on?"

"He is either one of two things. Either an angel... or a demon." Vastel said. "However, I would have known if he was an angel. So there is more of a chance that he is a demon. I thought we talked about this earlier."

"We did. I just don't want to kill someone completely innocent. I want to cover all my bases. I mean, it's Isabella's brother. Or so we thought." I said. "I don't want to kill him and tell Isabella that I thought he was my killer. It's not going to exactly be easy for her."

We started to walk back to the house when Vastel disappeared. He probably had another supernatural to pass on.

Isabella was sitting in the other room, completely alone. I walked to her, without saying a word. When I sat next to her, she looked away from me. Something was wrong.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Something is not right. I can feel it. It's in the house."

"What do you mean it's in the house?" I asked.

"Someone here... I can't trust. I just don't know who."

"Do you have any thoughts on who it is?"

"My own brother, that's for sure." She said. "Oh, and you're little friend. I have never heard of him, never seen him, he acts strange, he talks like he still lives in the B.C. era; yet Elijah is like that as well. What the hell is going on?"

"Vastel, you can trust. Believe me." I said. "However, I hate to tell you this, but I think something is up with Elijah as well."

"Hmm, at least I'm not the only one." She snorted.

Vastel came into the room, his eyes wide open. "Emmett, we need to talk again."

"Why do you two keep leaving to go talk? Talk to all of us. You just can't keep leaving." Isabella complained.

"Bells, don't worry about it."

"No! I'm going also because I want to know what the hell is going on." She said.

"It doesn't matter, I just need to talk to you." Vastel said.

We walked out of the room, Isabella trailing right behind us. I watched Vastel the entire time, he was confused and scared, which worried me. Vastel, of all people, should never be scared.

"Vas, slow down. What the hell is going on?"

"They're alive. All of them. Every single one of them. I never forget a face, yet they're all alive."

"What the hell is he talking about?" Isabella asked.

"Vas, what do you mean?"

"Every single supernatural that I have passed on, Heaven or Hell, they are alive. They are back... All of them."

I shook my head. "What the hell are you talking about?"

"You know what I'm talking about! All of them are alive."

"How many are we talking about?"

"A good million." He said.

"How did this happen?" I asked.

"Maybe because I kept you alive. You were supposed to continue on. Emmett, until you die, all those supernatural beings will be alive." He said.

"What the hell is going on?" Isabella said.

"Emmett... most of those supernatural beings were in Hell. Ones that you have killed, ones that Isabella have killed... they are all alive. We need to get back to the house and protect ourselves and everyone. The Volturi may have killed a lot of people, but they also had a lot of guard members. Years upon years of guards. You think that ones that have now were bad, you should have seen the first six groups of guard members."

I immediately grabbed Isabella's arm and ran straight back to the house. Vastel started to close the windows up, calling in the people who were outside. I was rounding up others to come downstairs. Isabella was starting to figure out things, but she kept her mouth shut. When I saw Elijah, I remembered he was here before I died. He was a different problem with a different cause. However, I wasn't going to take my chances with him being here. I walked up to him and simply ripped his head off.

"Emmett!" Esme said.

"What the hell?" Isabella said, starting to charge at me.

"Don't worry." Vastel said. "He'll awaken soon."

"Tell me what the hell is going on and soon before I lose my mind." Isabella screamed.

And we did. Vastel told everyone what he was. Then he went on to tell him how I was still alive and how I was supposed to be dead. Then I told them about Elijah and how he was passed on a long time ago. We just didn't know how he was alive, nor why. Isabella stayed quiet the entire time we talked about Elijah. She would glance at him, but that was it. She wouldn't do any more.

After the conversation, everyone remained quiet. And though, this was all shocking to them, Elijah was not our biggest problems. Our problem was the Volturi guard coming back to life. Six rounds of different guards, stronger guards. Though they have been killed by others, they would easily stand with the Volturi in this fight. Even if they knew they had a deadline. But that was it... I was their deadline. I just needed to convince Isabella to let me go, which would be a lot harder to talk about rather than easier.

"There's something more." Isabella whispered.

"There are guards that have been killed. Volturi members. They will rise again and possibly stand with the Volturi. Twice as many guards."

"So, in the end, it will be circle. We kill them, they'll just come back to life." Maria said. "How are we supposed to deal with that? And why can't you stop this?"

"Do you not think that I have tried to pass on these supernatural beings?" Vastel said. "I have passed them on. I turn around and every single supernatural is standing behind me. I thought they were stuck between Heaven and Hell, however they weren't. When I arrived back, I did not teleport here. I arrived in a field somewhere, all of those supernatural beings still behind me. They tore me apart and scattered off."

"They killed you?"

"Yes. Because I am an angel, I do regenerate back. It is not that easy to kill an angel." He said.

"Anyways, how do we stop this 'circle' as we're calling it?" Maria asked.

Vastel looked down, as well as I did.

"How do we stop it?" Isabella asked.

"I think both gates may have opened when Emmett was brought back to the human world." Vastel said.

"What are you saying?"

"Emmett has to die." Vastel whispered. "Officially..."

I was making my round around the house. Usually, it would be a lot easier, considering it was just the Volturi I was worried about. But now, now that they have possibly doubled or even tripled... we are outnumbered.

Vastel has did a couple of spells... or something... to keep the demons out. Though it wouldn't stop the others. But Vastel said demons were the worst. That they had to be our first priority. After a good couple of hours, the other group for watch woke up and I went straight to bed.

Isabella was sleeping with the pillow pulled to her arms. Her reaction to me dying all over again, officially this time, was not a good reaction; however, it was a little surprising. She simply said no. No to me dying all over again and if she had to stop people from killing me, then so be it. She was not going to give me up without a fight.

I watched Isabella sleep for a while, waiting to get into bed until I knew everything was fine downstairs. I ended up staying up for another hour and a half then finally went to bed.

In the morning, Isabella was already out of bed, getting dressed in dark jeans and a dark shirt. I didn't make a move, watching her get ready. She would move slow, much slower than usual. Even when she was upset, but this time was different. There was a different aura to her. I could feel it... I sat up, trying to keep the room silent as possible. Isabella merely turned around and continued to get dressed.

I walked down the stairs, seeing that the entire house was still locked up. The others were still sitting in the house, talking quietly, listening out for things. Isabella came down a couple minutes later, walking around me. I didn't know exactly what I did, like usual. It wasn't my fault that the demon went for me. I mean really, of all people, it went for me. Yes, I know, it was to upset Isabella. To make her weak. But it was just going to piss people off. It was just a matter of time before Isabella lost her mind.

Vastel was talking to Jasper, Maria, and Peter about a plan to keep the house shut down. There wasn't much to do, but it was better to be a little safe than sorry. When I finally sat down, Isabella walked up to me and sat on my lap. She didn't say anything, which didn't surprise me. She just caressed me, rubbed my head, kissed my cheeks and neck. After a while of doing so, she stood up and walked away. I was going to chase after her until Vastel popped out of nowhere.

"What?" I asked.

"We were going to tie down as many places as we can. But it is not even worth it. They know we're here. We need to leave." Vastel whispered.

"This is the only place I have that can fit all of us here." Isabella said, walking in.

"It's not safe here anymore. One demon was already able to come in this house." Vastel said. "We need to leave. The more I think about it, the more I believe the Volturi already knows we're here. We have to go."

"He's right." Esme said. "Not all of us can stay here."

"Vastel, you're strong enough to take us somewhere."

"Yes, but where? I don't have a big house. I live in between life and death."

"We have a home in Russia." Vladimir stated.

"I'd rather not go there. It's too close to Italy. We should to go Brazil." Zafrina said.

"I would not mind that." I said. Isabella glared at me, not a hint of happiness in her face. "Come on Bells. I'm kidding. Your butt is all I need."

She rolled her eyes, pursing her lips. "Anyways, Brazil could be fine."

"How about further down? More like Argentina."

"South America, fine. Let's just get there first and talk about all the places later." I said. "Pack up. Let's do this quickly."

We quickly packed up the house, as fast as anybody could move. The island was a great idea, of course, but now they knew where we were. We couldn't take this chance anymore. I didn't want to take this chance anymore. It was tiring and damn right frustrating.

We loaded the entire boat with our belongings, ready to leave. I made sure everybody was here by counting the numbers of each clan. I definitely made sure my family and Isabella's family were here. The hardest part was making sure all the girls were here. Yes, there was a chance of missing someone. So I double checked, Dominic tripled checked, and Isabella quadrupled checked. And, like usual, Isabella had that gut feeling that something bad was about to happen.

Well... she was right...
