So I re-read the last chapter and I feel like it should be the final chapter for this story. Also, I am really out of ideas right now. I'll try to update the other stories I have!
Here's some kind of an epilogue to the story, it's really short but I hope you'll enjoy.
If anyone of you wants some answers regarding this story, maybe to some questions I left open, (I can't find any), just write it in a review and I'll try and include them in an update. I can't promise anything, but I'll try, i think I owe you that much. Thanks for supporting me through this story by reading, reviewing, following and adding to favorites. It was much appreciated.
It had been almost seven months since Zoe got back to Bluebell for good. She and Wade were closer than ever, Jesse had decided to stay. You could say Earl's disease had really brought the family back together. Also, Earl finally managed to live his life alcohol-free and he was back to a really good shape, for an old person who'd received a liver transplant, anyway.
On a Sunday morning they gathered at Lavon's for a Barbecue. They were all having fun, enjoying the first heat wave of the year. Wade held Zoe tight to him, a hand on her hip as they joyfully made conversation with Lavon and Lemon.
"Uhm, Zoe, when were you going to tell us what that big, gigantic thing on your finger is?"
Zoe touched the ring on her left hand and then let the others take a look at it. Up until then, no one had noticed it and the couple had kept it a secret, wanting to enjoy the intimacy of their relationship for a little bit longer yet. Wade'd proposed to her two nights before, with roses, black&white cookies and all. He wasn't really the romantic type of guy but he certainly knew how to be, when it concerned Zoe. She couldn't be happier to say yes to the man she loved and wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
