Garfield sighed as things kept racing through his mind, many things. For one – how Garth could be hot one moment, then cold the next. Was what Roy really told him about Garth the truth? He seemed enthused one moment, then so… distant and cold with Cole the next. Sure Cole was someone that you had to get used to, but Roy didn't seem to have an issue at all.

Not to mention Garfield knew the real guy Cole was and he did love him, very much so. He wouldn't hesitate to say Cole was his legal guardian as he used to when he first went to live with them. Hillary took a little more getting used to for Garfield, probably because she was a female. But he took to little Emma right away, who was only a year and a half old at the time.

He sighed, sprawled out on his freshly made bed. Wondering whether or not to start kicking Roy's ass in a video game, or if the other wanted to just talk things out. "So that endeavor wasn't too embarrassing, was it?" He inquired, making the beginnings of small conversation.

"No, not at all. Cole is great. Hillary is his other half- his better half. And Emma is just like Annabelle, and I love them both." He smiled, taking the tiara off his head to examine the little puffs of pink fluff and glitter on it. "You have a perfect family."

Garfield gave a smile, "You're right Roy, I'm really blessed to have them. I wish I would've found them, much sooner than I did… and I went through a few not – so – great homes to get here but I'm glad they're here now and found me when they did, better late than never. And y'know I told you that people aren't so quick to pick up and foster half grown kids but they did and, I am fortunate." He turned on his side to face Roy, who was contented in a nice, comfy lounge chair in Garfield's spacious basement bedroom, off the main finished basement. "What about, you? I'm not trying to pry or anything and you don't have to tell me." He assured the other male, a soft, genuine smile on his face.

Roy raised an eyebrow. "I, uh... I live alone. Well, with Annabelle. I don't really have parents, my Uncle funds me." He shrugged. "Not a big deal, really." He didn't seem to care much to talk about it. "And, you're welcome to ask me anything you want; I'm not really a secretive person."

Garfield gave a nod, "Are they… not living anymore?" He gave a shrug, "I don't really know what truly happened to my biological parents. I was told so many different versions and there's no documentation so – it's like, a mystery. Guess I was made out of thin air." He joked lightly, but returned back to giving Roy his complete undivided attention.

Roy seemed to think about this for awhile, his eyes shifting around the room as he let out a deep sigh.

"Uh, well... My mother died giving birth to Annabelle. And my father drank himself to death. They were good people. You would've liked him..." He smirked a little, thinking more about it. "My father was kind of like Cole... he used to joke a lot... but after Annabelle was born it all went downhill. She looks just like my mother, actually. My mother was really nice. She wasn't all that smart, but she was really great. She taught me how to shoot." He seemed a tad nostalgic. "She knew she was giving up her life for Annabelle, but she didn't care. And now that I know Annabelle, I would've done the same... But my dad didn't agree. He was really upset about it all." He shook his head. "But it's all over now. Annabelle doesn't know much about either of them, really."

Garfield nodded; taking in the information he'd just been given. "Yeah, I'd imagine that'd be very hard – losing someone you chose to spend the rest of your life with, only for them to be gone so soon." He took a shaky breath, looking to Roy. "Has she, ever asked about them?"

"No. She shouldn't, either. And I don't care his excuse; he should be here helping out. He's more than capable of-" Roy cut himself off. "If only he was alive, you know?"

Garfield nodded once more, not daring to let on the fact that he knew more than what Roy was telling him just now. In all actuality – he never should've overheard that conversation. "Oh of course, I mean kids are just innocent. If they see another child with both parents, they may wonder why they don't have what they're seeing other children have. Y'know?" If Roy did know anything about child psychology, he should have known this. Gar let that thought slip into his mind and slip right out of it again. Right now he was concentrating on getting to know him in a secluded setting where they wouldn't be bothered or distracted.

"Annabelle has traumatizing ideas of her mother, thanks to her father, and her memories of him aren't so grand either. We prefer not to bring it up around her. She has me, and I think she knows something's wrong, so she doesn't ask... not that anything is wrong, really."

Garfield took a moment to analyze this. He was stating that both his parents weren't alive – which Garfield knew wasn't true, the father was alive – but he knew it was best to leave that be. Annabelle had traumatizing thoughts of her mother, via her father? Something about that didn't sound so right either.

He just gave a soft sigh, "Have you ever sat down and just wondered, 'Why me?' at one point in your life? Just… out of curiosity. It'd be nice to know that, well – I wouldn't be the only one who has."

Roy shrugged. "Gar... that's a question everyone asks. There's an answer, there really is. But, you'll never actually know it." He looked Gar up and down. "Why do you ask yourself that? You are just so lucky to have this amazing family."

Garfield nodded, "Yeah, no I didn't mean that… I've asked it recently, I just meant, have you ever at one point in your life, that's all." He gave a light sigh and pulled up his hoodie sweater sleeves, to show Roy remnants of his past. Haunting scars on Garfield's arms looked up at Roy. The other staring at the scars, then looking back up at Garfield. "I really wasn't in a good place not too long ago, where I did ask myself that question. As I said, if it weren't for Hillary and Cole taking me in… I probably wouldn't be here with you right now. Which… I'm glad that I am." He said with a small smile, letting his sleeves fall back to where they were, using one arm underneath his head as a substitute pillow, awaiting what Roy would say to him next.

Roy seemed a bit moved, and he reached to his own arm, running a hand over his smooth, unharmed skin. "You're an interesting character, you know that? You laugh and joke and smile... I never would've guessed." He lightly chuckled as if it were all a joke. Then he took Gar's arm and pushed the sleeve back up, running his hand over the scars, looking deeper and deeper into them, as if each meant something different. He didn't say anything for a long while, but was deeply depressed by it all. "You don't deserve that."

Garfield gave a soft smile, "You learn to gain a sense of humor in order not to lose your sanity." He told Roy truthfully, the goosebumps appearing on his skin from the other's simple touch. "Things happened Roy, bad things in my past that still haunt me but… with Cole and Hillary being so, so patient with me, everyday I wake up is a step towards getting better and not fixing it – because nothing will fix what's already happened, but gaining the strength to move forward and… think of the next plan." He gave a slight smirk, "I'm not all that stereotypical. I know the arm is the 'signature' place… to, do it. But because I really don't like having attention on me, I'd hide them deeper on my body. Where you couldn't see it, unless you've seen me naked and, fortunately no one's done that yet. Good thing, I couldn't afford someone's therapy bill if they did." He finished with that signature grin and those beautiful pearly white canines.

Roy nodded. "I guess you could say everyone has their own scars." He thought of showing Gar his, but easily decided against it. Maybe another day. "Maybe I'll see all yours someday?" He replied rather sultrily, poking Gar's tummy.

Garfield gave a sexy smirk, "Maybe you will… oh, but… no one's ever known this besides you, just now and I'd like it to stay that way. It'll be our… little secret…" He trailed off, captivating Roy's gaze within his own, it felt like the perfect time to lean in and eliminate the space between them, but the last thing Gar wanted to do, was scare Roy off.

Roy, however, wasn't in the least bit scared. He immediately pressed his lips to Gar's own, running his hand down Gar's arm to meet his hand and lock the two together.

This was a moment Garfield could honestly say that he was caught up in. Surprised, but sensual, meaningful… hot… sexy… passionate… he instinctively deepened the kiss, his tongue trailing the other's bottom lip, as if asking permission to what he already had full access to.

The pleasure only got better when the blond heard a very soft moan come from Roy. Then, Garfield didn't want to do anything else but pleasure the male before him. He shifted his position long enough to lie Roy down on his bed, now currently straddling him.

Roy couldn't help but pull Gar down to him once more, reconnecting the kiss and running his hand through the blonde's soft hair. He played with the bottom of Gar's shirt, finally deciding to just pull it off of him. Roy then began to play with the buckle on Gar's belt.

Garfield Logan had a pretty hot body, it must've been all the football and working out but boy – did it pay off for him! Garfield knew that now Roy could see some of the scars he had made on his stomach that were still there, but hopefully he'd be too distracted to notice them. "So… Roy, did you want to… play the field or…" he got incredibly close, capturing Roy's lips within his own. "or just go for the touchdown?"

Roy ran a hand along Gar's lovely six pack, and responded by finally unbuckling Gar's belt and sliding it off, kissing Gar once more as he worked on the button.

'Aww, he's nervous… that's so sweet,' Garfield thought to himself as he continued to kiss the other, his hands gently caressing Roy's stomach, very slowly and sensually, he slid the other's shirt off, tossing it to the floor. "So, got a game plan?" He asked sultrily, moving down to kiss Roy's neck, leaving the normally fast speaker, somewhat speechless.

Then, Gar's eyes fell onto Roy's torso. His bare, badly bruised, painful looking torso. Roy caught his gaze and immediately felt self-conscious. The bruises were obviously inflicted, seeing their varied locations. A large one on the side, a few by his ribs. The bruises even continued up his arms. He seemed a bit shaken by this, feeling the mood shift just a tad. "Uh, you're the team captain; I suppose I'd just follow your plan." But Gar could see that even touching his stomach hurt him, though he hid it very well. He tried to pretend they weren't there, but the bruises were just screaming out in their blackness on his pale white skin.

Garfield inched down and gently kissed Roy's torso, as if trying to make it better. Instead of straddling Roy any longer, putting him in possible pain when he didn't have to be, he decided to lie down next to him, small kisses trailing from his shoulder, up to his neck. This was a closeness that Garfield himself had never really felt before, but now understood what it meant, to just be in the company of someone who made your heart thump like crazy.

Roy seemed content with this, and immediately wrapped his arms around Gar, holding him tightly. He felt bad that Gar had to be bothered by his problems, but they both shared them. It was a balance that the two perfectly understood and wished the other didn't have to bear. "I should be getting Annabelle home soon." He whispered.

Garfield let out a soft sigh, kissing the other's cheek delicately. "But I don't want you to leave… and the girls are having a great tea party with Cole. Something about crumpets and he's not that into trumpets."

He chuckled; Cole was more than willing to make an ass of himself, if it meant allowing someone else to smile.

Roy let go of Gar and sat up, snatching his shirt off the floor and pulling it back on to cover up the damage. "Yea, but it's getting late. If we left it up to them, they'd be playing tea party all night. Or, at least until Cole runs out of inappropriate ways to say 'lady finger'." He chuckled as though nothing out of the ordinary happened, and they were just two guy friends hanging out.

Garfield gave a nod, "Yeah… you're right. Um, will you… ever come back… here? I mean, y'know, like… this?" He couldn't help but to feel that a good chunk of his heart, would be leaving right along side Roy.

Before the other could really say anything, he kissed the other's cheek. "Promise me you'll be okay and I'll see you soon?" Anything he could say to himself that would reassure he could see Roy again, he would.

Roy seemed a bit shocked. He didn't particularly want to answer. To say 'yes' would be to admit something he was not yet ready to admit. And to say 'no' would be to break his own heart. So he just smiled and shrugged, "I'll be fine. And you'll see me again."

osa-chan : Believe me, as a co-written story, treskttn and I both out-do ourselves whenever we write together. And it's probably much more entertaining for the two of us to just see what the other's gonna come out with and before you know it you have someone as crazy as Cole. XD This is a more serious, rather steamy chapter, but don't worry, it'll be back to the humor again shortly!

Mizookie : Lmao why yes, yes it is one of the best lines in history xD

mrtutus23 : Well if that's your thoughts, I bet you'll enjoy this chapter! ;D
