Disclaimer: Stephanie Meyer owns everything you recognize. I only own Maisy 'Whorsy' Holder.

A/N: I apologize for not updating in so long, a lot has been happening lately and I couldn't get round to typing up a chapter. Thank you for your patience.

I hope you enjoy, I have extended the plot a little. Let's just say this is more than just a love triangle. Oh, I haven't done any writing in a while, so I may be slightly rusty, let's hope none of the characters are OOC though. Please don't hate me.

Oh hey! Did I mention that Leah was also a phased wolf? Well she is, but she doesn't hunt with the Pack. Sorry if I didn't put it in the beginning. In addition, sorry if the timeline of the story confuses you.

M rated for use of profanity.

Can I just say...You guys are fucking amazing! :D

Surely, you were meant to be mine

Chapter 5

Set when Jacob left his house…

Maisy felt like she was dying.

She knew she wasn't dead yet, because death didn't hurt.

Tightening her hands into fists as waves of pain had began to consume her, a feeling of dread was rising in her chest, there was a lump in her throat that she couldn't swallow, and her eyes were brimming with tears.

She heard her house phone beep signifying a message; however, she could not bring herself to care. She had gotten home moments ago, and gone to take a shower, still overly miffed. That was when she had noticed the abomination on her face, so that had brought on the onslaught of uncontrollable tears, and disheartening inner monologues.

Her broken looking, despondent reflection was staring back at her. Maisy's eyes had become raccoons; her mascara had rolled down to her chin, shading her pasty fake tan concealed face in black scrawls. With rosy red shaking lips, wretched cries escaped from her chest ostensibly poignantly. Maisy's heart pulsated wildly, riotous and erratic, causing her torso to shake from the intensity of her sobs.

She felt horrible. Unworthy. She could not stand herself. Her face was the portrayal of ugliness. She could not even bear to glance at herself. She hated her exterior. Nonetheless, she could not look away from her droopy, dejected seeming appearance in the mirror. Her eyes were unwillingly transfixed on one very noticeable region on her face.

Everything was going wrong now. Jacob would not shut up about Bella, he was regretting accepting Maisy's help, his family disliked her, and everyone was on Bella's side. To make matters even worse, she had lost her cell phone. Why was life so against her?

Everyone would hate her now. Jacob would hate her. No would want to look at her now. Jacob would go back to the boring, plain, selfish Bella. He would not stay with her; she was too ugly for him now.

Yes, too ugly. So very ugly. People would faint at the sight of her.

Maisy's cries of sorrow stopped suddenly…Maybe she was acting overly melodramatic. However, who wouldn't in a situation like this?

An instant glare materialized on her face, and the events of the last month reeled through her mind like a movie. Was it a sin to have feelings for someone? Was it a sin to crush on the guy that your friend was enthralled with too? Maisy was begrudged by the fact that Bella was Jacob's best girl friend, a girl who was just a friend. Nobody except her was aware that Bella had feelings for Jacob….No one was aware that she also had feelings for Jacob. Maisy had liked Jacob long before Bella came to Forks. Therefore, Jacob was hers. HERS.

Maisy pulled herself back to Earth, her pale blue eyes zoomed in on the large red abomination on her face, and she broke down in sobs all over again.

Angry tears spilled down her cheeks, and she whirled around and headed for the door. The cause of her trouble was some whiny delusional bitch who could not forget her stupid feelings for her boyfriend. She was sure that Jacob's family and friends and family were trying to convince them to get together with She was definite that they were attempting to brainwash Jacob.

Well, that wasn't happening! Not in her lifetime!

More infuriated than ever, Maisy got into her car without bothering to adjust her make up, and headed for one destination. She knew exactly where they all were, it was almost a gut instinct. Bella's house.

Set right after…

"He loves me…"

"He loves me not…"

"He loves me…"

"He loves me not…"

"He loves me…"

"He loves m-"

The pink rose was very suddenly yanked out of her hand, and Bella glanced up to find Embry glaring down at her, seeming very annoyed. He held the flower gingerly in his palm before tearing it in two, and tossing it aside. Sighing and running his fingers through his hair in an irritated manner, he knelt down in front of Bella, staring sadly into her dejected, despondent eyes.

"-Bella, why are you doing this to yourself?" He questioned her softy, pain lacing his gentle tone. He took her hands in his, scanning her face questioningly.

Bella did not know how to respond. She could feel her lips quivering, as intense sentiment filled her chest, fighting back the urge to cry, she just shrugged at him, and dropped her dispirited gaze to the floor, refusing to meet his soft, loving brown eyes, which were filled with worry for her.

How long would this go on? Bella thought to herself, how long would the Pack, and their mates try to help her, before realizing she was a lost cause? Nothing could help her now. Her heart had been torn and ripped to shreds. She experienced a vacant numbness attempting to consume her at all times, however she refused to allow it to overtake her. Albeit her heart being in pieces, the thought and certainty that someone in the world cared about her had obtained her will to live. Bella knew now that the Pack and the girls cared about her. She knew they worried about her wellbeing.

Nevertheless, she still felt bereft by the one that had taken her heart and shattered it unknowingly, unintentionally. Still, her best friend, consciously, and calculatedly stolen the love of her life without considering Bella's prolonged feelings.

The thought made Bella smoulder irately. She no longer felt sorry that she felt deep unconditional affection for her best friend's boyfriend. No, as an alternative, she felt betrayed. Betrayed by her best friend. Destroyed, and in pieces by the evidence that she had made an attachment to Jacob, knowing Bella's feelings for him. Rachel, Kim, and Leah had been right. Then again, when weren't they?

"I don't know, Embry." Bella finally articulated, "I'm just not sure anymore." She sighed, looking up to meet his gaze.

Embry's lips twitched, and confusion filled his features. "What aren't you sure about? Jacob?"

Bella shook her head, pulling her hands out of his, and placing them behind her, before leaning back on them as she stared into the trees that surrounded her house. "No, not Jacob. Maisy. I'm not sure if she was really ever my friend."

Embry snorted obnoxiously, and seated himself beside Bella, emulating her seating position. "Bella, that is pretty obvious. I'm sorry to say this, but Maisy is the biggest slut I've ever come across. And…No true friend would steal her best friend's love. It's just…wrong."

Bella uncontrollably whipped her head in Embry's direction at his words, and glared at him half-heartedly, getting defensive. "Embry, that's mean. You can't call her a slut." Bella was used to sticking up for Maisy, oddly enough, everyone bullied her, and she just wasn't certain why. Given that Bella had been shielding Maisy from abuse for interminably, the action had become automatic. She couldn't hinder herself growing defensive.

Embry raised an eyebrow, looking amused "Really, can't I? Pfft. Bells, before you came to Forks, and tamed her down a tad. Maisy had more lovers in week than Henry the eighth had wives. And if that isn't a slut I don't know what is."

"Wow. I didn't know," Bella was bewildered, and shocked to say the least. "She never told me." Bella now understood why she was bullied so severely, if that was her reputation, then what else did she expect? Moreover, that generated an additional query. Did that mean she was just using Jacob? A chill travelled down Bella's spine at the thought.

"Bells, I don't think anyone would like to broadcast the fact that they're a slut, you know. I don't think it's too good for their rep….not that it was already ruined." He chuckled softly, facing in the direction of the house, and watching it intently.

Bella nodded, not bothering to look at him. "I get you." she sighed.

In addition, they settled into a comfortable silence, both deeply lost in their thoughts. Almost half an hour ago, they had called Jacob's house, and left a message on his house phone, and left one on Maisy's too, claiming Bella was having a going away party. Neither of them had replied, which only meant they were still out. Bella felt her stomach churn.

According to their plan and calculations, Maisy and Jacob wouldn't return until later, and therefore wouldn't see the messages until the next day. Moreover, would rush over to Bella's place where they would be shown the letter. Bella could notice many flaws in this plan; however, she didn't mention it to Rachel. It would hurt her pride far too much, and Bella would feel guilty all over again.

"You know, I don't think Jacob feels anything for Maisy…" Embry said thoughtfully, his eyes still distant and lost in thought, as if he was thinking aloud.

Bella's heart thundered in her chest at his words "What?"

"Not anything serious that is…"

Curiosity flared inside her. "What makes you say that?" Bella asked almost breathlessly. She was almost afraid of the answer.

"Well…" Embry scrunched up his forehead, as if he as tying to reminisce. "For one thing…a few months ago. She annoyed the fuck out of him, I think she even tried to sleep with him, but he refused her. Hell, she even tried to sleep with me...Whore."

Bella nodded her head, not bothering to acknowledge the insult as she listening ardently, wanting to hear more. She knew he had more to say. "Yeah…."

"But…Why would you hate someone and then suddenly start to date them? It makes no sense! And you know what's weird…Jacob refuses to think about her…or you. Every time he does, his mind shield slams down hard, it's almost like he isn't there, all we can feel is guilt, and I'm not sure what it from, but basically we can't hear him anymore, just feel his emotions. I guess that's one of the perks of being the real Alpha."

In the whole of that little oration, Bella essentially considered one word "Guilt? What's he guilty about?" Bella asked curiously, hating the fact that Jacob was being plagued with guilt; no matter the circumstances, she wanted his torment to end.

"I don't know, but I think…Bella; I think something else is going on. Something that involves all three of you. Call me an idiot, but…I think it's something supernatural." He locked eyes with Bella, informing her seriously.

She considered it for a moment. It did make sense, that there was something more than just love behind this mess. "Emb, you could be right…" Bella's trailed off, her mind reeling. A that point, a new feeling entered her chest; she felt her stomach churn again. For the first time she had come to Forks, Bella experienced fear.

An icy feeling had spread through out her body. She felt as though someone had dropped ice cubes down the back of her shirt. She felt as though someone was behind her, creeping up on her, ready to capture her, ready to kill…Bella glanced behind her into the trees, scanning them intently. There was nothing there. She frowned. She could have sworn…

Bella shook herself out of the morbid thoughts, turning back around and focusing on Embry, nevertheless unease was not far from her mind.

Embry smiled and rose to his feet, his eyes on Bella's house once again, not noticing a thing, or at least pretending not too. "I could be wrong…" he murmured.

Bella knit her eyebrows at his sudden distantness, and followed his line of sight, forgetting about her new sudden trepidation. "What's wrong Emb?"

"Seth and Leah are back." was his response. He turned his gaze to Bella, grinning wildly. "Come on, let's finally see what Seth's big idea is." He held out his hand, seemingly forgetting about the previous subject. "We'll talk about this with the others together."

Bella felt an automatic grin light up her face, this was so like Embry, one minute he was incredibly deep, serious and sincere, and then he was carefree and laid back. He was so vastly bipolar it made Bella giggle, and any thought about Maisy and her betrayal vanished from her mind.

She took his hand and he pulled her up, they both went inside together, the atmosphere now lighter, nevertheless, they were unaware that from the trees behind Bella's house. A concealed presence was watching them, listening to their every word. He stepped out of the trees slowly, and reached down, picking up a single rose petal and holding it to his nose, sniffing gently as he gazed at the house.

Seth strolled up to Bella's door, with Leah trailing behind him lost in thought. Both of their faces held complete alternate expressions. Seth's was one of joy, excitement, and slight anxiousness whilst Leah's was one of dread, and tediousness. Nevertheless, they were both still upset that they had been called away to the council for something pathetic. Something so foolish. The stupid hope that Seth and Leah both had powers beyond anyone could have ever imagined.

'It's destiny!' Old Quil had said, his eyes bulging manically with excitement. 'You have been chosen!'

Chosen? Destiny? Leah had thought. What complete, and utter bullshit! As if, we aren't weirdoes enough!

Nevertheless, she decided not to reveal that in front of the council, just in case it offended them. In addition, with saying that would be humiliation for their father, who was on the council.

However, Leah was certain Seth agreed with her. This made no sense. Seth and Leah were as normal as all the other shapeshifters (If it were normal), despite the fact that Leah was a girl. Although they each had a separate enhanced ability that could benefit them whilst tracking and catching leeches, they were like alike and shared similar qualities. (High metabolism, speed, fast healing etc…)

So why Seth and Leah, and not any others? Leah knew the answer to that. 'The miraculous power' hypothesis (as Old Quil had named it) only applied to siblings who were yet to construe them from an ancestral brother and sister who had shared the paranormal abilities. Being the only siblings to phase it was understandable that the council assumed it was them two. On the contrary, no miraculous or phenomenal abilities had been recorded or acknowledged for over 100 years. Subsequently, why would they surface now?

Whatever. Leah had stopped caring about it. It was futile to monopolizing her time for, and nonetheless nor Seth or she had displayed any capability more superior than any of the pack. Therefore, either the council was just bluffing or they were delusional. Leah decided to go with the latter. It seemed more believable in this case.

She pushed these thoughts to the back of her mind, refusing to allow this pathetic topic to divert her, and placed all her attention on the issues that Bella was now facing, just then the front door swung open revealing Quil's familiar mischievous face. He grinned at them rowdily, there was a dangerous glint in his eyes with told them he was excited. Leah did not know what to think of that, excitement meant differently to her then it did to Quil.

He stepped back to allow then entry, scanning their faces and alternate expressions then began firing questions the instant they stepped inside.

"What happened? Why were you called? Is everything okay? Is someone dead?" he launched all in one go, not pausing to take a breath. "Please tell someone's not dead."

"Quil, we'll tell you inside." Leah murmured without looking at him, proceeding to go towards the living room, but stopping and turning as soon as she heard Seth speak.

He was grinning vibrantly. "Dude! It's so cool. You know…we might have powers and abilities way more powerful than anyone in the pack!"

Quil frowned, looking dejected. "What? The council told you that?" He seemed somewhat annoyed now, his tone tinged with disappointment.

Seth nodded enthusiastically, his eyes twinkling excitedly, not observing Quil's abrupt alter in mood. He opened his mouth, looking elated, clearly about to brag even more.

Leah sighed at both of them, and hissed. "Come on, we're telling them inside! Hold it in 'til then!" She pulled on Seth's arm, dragging him into the living room, with Quil behind them.

Once they entered the room, Leah took in the scene before her. Paul sat on the couch, with Rachel lying across his lap with her eyes shut, as he stroked her hair, murmuring under his breath. Kim and Jared were seated together in Charlie's recliner, just unperturbed and peaceful. Moreover, unexpectedly, Bella and Embry were nowhere in sight. Hmmm….It seemed slightly suspicious…

"Where are Bella and Embry?" Seth asked stridently, glancing around the room with an unadorned, but hopeful expression on his face. Hopeful? Why would he be hopeful?

Paul peeked up and glared hotly in their direction, putting a finger to his lips and shushing them before turning his attention back to Rachel, who seemed to be asleep.

"They're in the garden." Kim spoke up, as Jared glanced towards the closed kitchen door as though he expected something to happen.

"Really?" Seth asked, as a large unexplainable grin covered his face. "Seriously?" his eyes were twinkling mysteriously now. "Alone?"

Leah frowned, finding Seth's sudden excitement strange, she opened her mouth to ask, but was interrupted, when Bella and Embry entered the living room, she found herself assimilating their posture, and expressions. Embry…, tall, grinning and lenient, Bella, still sickly thin and broken seeming, looked happier than she had been than the last few weeks. Both of them seemed as though a huge weight had been lifted from their shoulders, almost as if they had come to a realization.

Weirdly enough…they were both holding hands, and were shockingly entirely at ease with it. She was not the only one who had become aware of this, as the entire room, bar from Rachel who had her eyes closed, was staring at Bella and Embry with mystified expressions on their faces.

Seth was the first person to react. He wore an expression of utter elation and mischief, whilst literally bouncing on his feet as he stared at the two. "Oh my God! Oh my goodness! This is perfect!" He was beginning to turn red, and hurriedly began fanning himself with his right hand as though he was a woman from the forties. "Oh my God!" he shrieked, his voice turning high pitched.

Quil snickered, "What is? You've finally found a reason to come out of the closet?" he taunted, holding back mirth. "Is wittle Sethy gonna admit he's gay?" He teased in a childish voice.

"Shut up! I'm not gay!" Seth turned red and began to punch Quil mercilessly. "Fuck you!" he screamed attempting to scratch Quil's eyes out.

Leah heaved a sigh, and grasped Seth's shoulders, yanking him off Quil, who had been laughing at the enraged Seth, not minding he was being abused.

"Mind your language Seth!" Leah shook the heaving Seth who was glaring at Quil heatedly. What was happening to her little brother? Squealing like a girl? Being melodramatic? Aggressiveness? Profanity? Was this some form of PMS for guys?

"Not until he apologizes!" Seth threw at Quil.

"Why? Are you a homophobe?"

"No, I'm straight, and have no problem with gays, you idiot!"

"Doesn't seem like it…"

"Well fuck you-"

"STOP IT!" The final screech came from Paul who, Leah noticed, looked more enraged than any of them. "Rachel isn't feeling well you dipshits! Let her fucking sleep!" He screamed hypocritically causing Rachel to stir on his lap, with a slight groan.

A thick layer of silence fell over the room. Jared and Kim were watching everyone quizzically. Paul seemed exasperated, whilst Bella and Embry looked humoured. Rachel had once again dropped off, her soft snores filling the room.

"What were you so excited about, Seth?" Bella asked from across the room, causing everyone to peep in her direction. She was watching Quil and Seth with an amused look on her face. She had dropped Embry's hand, and was now sitting on the edge of Paul and Rachel's couch.

"Yeah, dude. You just had mini spaz attack when Bella and I walked in…" Embry was frowning, now leaning against the wall.

Seth glanced in their direction, and just stared fleetingly. Leah could tell his lips were twitching, and there was an unreadable expression his face. He didn't say anything and simply watched Bella shortly, and then Embry, glancing to and fro between them. Leah could almost hear his brain drone as he thought, while everyone else was watching him tolerant and elatedly. A handful of minutes passed, and he ambled towards Bella and Embry as though he was examining them closely, at present, Leah could not help but interrupt his scrutiny.

"Seth, what the hell are you doing?" She questioned, asking the one thing that was on everyone's mind.

He turned towards her, a joyous grin alight on his features. "Remember my plan before we got called away?"

A light bulb lit in Leah's mind, alongside confusion. "Yeah, but you never got round to telling us….What was it?"

"Well…" Seth began. "The plan-"

"-Why were you called?" Jared cut in inquiringly, curiosity traced in his tone.

Leah exhaled noisily. "Just some bullshit about siblings getting spirit powers…or something like that." She waved her hand dismissively, making it clear she wasn't fond of the subject. Jared nodded with a frown on his face, and Leah heard Quil huff and flop down on the couch behind her, she ignored him.

"Anywho…" Seth interrupted, clearing his throat. "The plan isn't the best one but it-"

"-I take that it involves Embry and Bella?" Kim cut in, glancing at the two, who stared at her looking perplexed.

"Yes, but-"

"-And obviously it has to do with jealousy?" Jared added, seemingly continuing the plan himself. Oblivious to Seth's rage.

Seth looked overly pissed now, but proceeded on anyway, eager to reveal his plan. "Yes, yes it does…But Bells and Emb have to act like a-"

RING! RING! RING!

Everyone glanced round at Leah. It took a moment for her to realise why everyone was staring at her, and where the sound was coming from, she then noticed their eyes were on the cell, which she had absentmindedly been clutching in her hand. It was ringing loudly. Seth looked as though he wanted to slaughter something, like he was ready to detonate; however remained hushed with his features firm and his lips set in a hard line. The incessant interludes were making him irate.

She peeked down at her cell, realizing that Sam's name was flashing on the caller id, Leah enquiringly answered the call, pressing the cell to her ear, avoiding Seth's glare. Why was Sam calling? What was wrong?

Just moments before…

Night had just fallen, it was eight o'clock. Samuel Uley had his back against the council house, and his hands tucked into the pockets of his jeans. His mind was whirring relentlessly, causing him to be lost in deep thought. The meeting had ended not too long ago, where the council had summoned his mate Leah, and her younger brother Seth to reveal something to them. The superstition that the siblings had unbeatable powers that nobody else in their pack had. This enquiry had never been brought up before, and it only made sense that the subject was raised when a brother and sister were phased in the same pack.

Sam didn't know what to think of this. He had been scrutinizing his mate (as he usually did), and her brother during their training, hunting, and leech killing…in addition he had not discovered anything beyond the normal. They had abilities just like every other shapeshifter.

Leah's was the fastest wolf…Jared had the best ears…Embry had the most attentive eyes…Jacob was the strongest…Quil had the best nose…Paul was the most aggressive…Seth was the fastest healer, and he, dark as dusk, hidden at night was the hardest to fool. This was the directive for the perfect pack. There was no need for a change.

Sam sighed and shoved every thought concerning his Pack to the back of his mind. The more he pondered on this, the more it would trouble him in the future. He frowned as he heard a familiar sound in the distance….like loud droning motorcycle, and with that deep rumble that was very distinctive…Jacob! Just the man he needed to see!

Sam pushed off the wall, and strolled over to the road, positioning himself in the middle of it, only then would Jacob surely stop, since the road was exceptionally thin, and only sanctioned one conduit of cars. He waited and watched at Jacob slowly came into view quite far off down the road. As he reared closer, the look on his face was one of pure determination, and worry, which shifted to annoyance when he was forced to stop in front of Sam.

"Get the fuck out of the way, Sam!" He demanded hurriedly. "I'm in a hurry!"

"Why, Jake? Where are you going?" Sam asked patiently.

"Bella house! Now, get out of the way!" Jacob drove forward slightly, trying to give Sam the hint to move.

"Why should I? Why should I let you?" Sam demanded getting more annoyed by the second. "Where have you been for the last two weeks? Do you have any idea how she's been? Do you have even the slightest notion about her wellbeing?"

"Why is she so important now? You've had your head up Holder's ass, and your tongue down her throat so deep that you forgot about the person who cared for you more than anyone could have imagined. She broke and shattered more everyday, just a shell remaining of her old self! Why should I let you? You don't deserve it!" Sam came an end to his rant, his eyes filled with fury and his chest heaving heavily. Albeit Bella's and his friendship being slightly awkward, she was a great girl who had fallen for an idiot, who wouldn't even look her away. That made him very irate.

The entire time, Jacob had been frozen with his head bowed. Sam could see that his eyes were strangely watery, and sparkling with unshed tears. "I know…" He murmured. "I am the world's biggest idiot. I've been so stupid…" His head shot up as if he had come to a realization, his eyes now suddenly panicked looking. "Sam, please let me go to Bella's house. She's leaving, and it's all my fault!" He beseeched. "Please…"

Very taken aback, Sam felt his jaw become unhinged. Bella was leaving? What? Why hadn't Leah mentioned anything to him? He blinked very suddenly, and stepped out of the way. "Go! Stop her!"

Jacob sent him a grateful smile, and whizzed away at swift speed, leaving dust behind him in his awake. The instant Jacob was out of sight, Sam whipped out his cell phone and dialed Leah's number.

"Hello, Sam? What's wrong?"

"Leah, why didn't you tell me Bella was leaving?"

"What?"

"Why didn't you tell me Bella was leaving?"

"But, Bella's not leaving."

"Then why did Jacob tell me she was?"

"Well, she was. Not now though…Wait…Jacob told you?"

"Yeah, I just saw him…he's on his way to Bella's house now."

"What! Why didn't you tell me this before?"

"You didn't ask!"

"Whatever. I have to go. Bye!"

"Leah-" Leah hit 'end-call' on her cell and peeked around at everyone. Needless to say, they all looked unnerved and flustered.

Seth's eyes took on the size of golf balls. "No no no! This isn't fair!" He took a deep breath. "Bella, Embry…Get upstairs now!" He demanded the two, appearing uncharacteristically distressed.

"What? Why?" Bella enquired, appearing scared stiff. She seemed feeble. As though she was going to collapse any moment. "What's wrong with Jacob?"

"Don't argue Bells, let's go!" Embry grabbed hold of her hand, pulled her out of the room, and up the stairs.

Leah glanced over at the couch and realized that Rachel was now sitting up, notwithstanding seeming wanly unsteady and off color, however now vigilant, along with directed, having taken notice of the conversation between Sam and Leah. Paul was urging her to lie back down and rest, nevertheless she stood up and began to order everyone around.

"Quil! Go get the letter! Kim, Jared! Get out the drinks, and make it look like a party!" She commanded unwaveringly, seeming like her old self. "Seth get upstairs and explain the plan to them! Paul, Leah start to cry!" Everyone got to their jobs, doing exactly what Rachel had commanded them, all except Leah and Paul who appeared dumbfounded at her demand.

"Cry? Why would we cry?" Paul asked, bewilderment filling his features. Leah shared his opinion, why would they cry?

Rachel sent him a look he got reasonably frequently. The 'don't be an idiot.' look, it was an expression Rachel reserved especially for him. "Yes, cry. You are Leah are the toughest wolves in the pack, so if Jacob sees you cry… its worth more because it rarely ever happens."

"But how?" Paul stood there blinking, as though he had never cried before.

Rachel heaved a sigh at him, "I don't know, just think of something sad." She suggested as she stumbled into the kitchen.

Paul and Leah exchanged distressed looks. This was going to be depressing.

Moments later….

Everything was set. All in place. Seth, Embry and Bella were upstairs ready to stage a little role-play for Jacob to hear, as according to Seth's little idea, and a little something more she'd talk to him about later. Something he'd never told her.

Everyone in the living room was supporting tearful faces, and disheartened demeanor. Bella's letter was set on the coffee table, clear to anyone who entered the room. Drinks and refreshments were on almost every surface available. The only thing missing was decorations, but that was something they could do without.

Everyone waited patiently, awaiting the sound of Jacob's motorcycle to pull into the driveway, so that they could start staging their drama. Leah hoped they were all good actors, or every ounce of work they had put into planning would go down the drain.

However, they could only hope for the best.

It wasn't long until Leah heard a mechanical sound in the distance…nevertheless it wasn't a motorcycle…it was a car. Every wolf in the room supported confused expressions, even Rachel…which was weird because she was just a human. It was only Kim that looked oblivious.

The closer the sound the got, the more familiar it became. And everyone came to a realization…that was not Jacob on his way.

It was Maisy.

"What the fuck is she doing here?" Rachel hissed, her fists balling up in outrage.

"I think we forgot the fact that Whorsy got the message too…" Kim put forward, beginning to comprehend the situation, and not faltering to use Maisy's nickname.

Everyone exchanged looks of distress and alarm. They had forgotten that Maisy got the message too. Well, fuck.

Maisy pulled up in Bella's driveway, getting out and harshly slamming the door behind her to clearly exhibit her presence to everyone in the house. She marched up to the house, make up, hair and clothes still disheveled, banging abrasively on the door. After a moment or two, it opened revealing Leah's strangely teary flustered looking face.

"Let me in!" Maisy demanded hotly, attempting to push past Leah to go into the house. "I need to see Bella!"

Leah's melancholy face turned livid. "Why?" she asked abrasively. "She doesn't want to fucking see you Holder, no one does…. Go the fuck away."

Maisy clenched her jaw, having being used to this vocal abuse. "Please. I need to see Bella." She pleaded in a hard voice.

Leah's hard demeanor wavered for a second, before suspicion covered her face. "Why? To hurt her even more?"

"I…I…" Maisy struggled for a reply, attempting think up a lie in a short amount of time, she chose the most obvious one. "I need to apologize for my behavior for the last few months, it was unacceptable." She lied swiftly, it rolling off her tongue. Truly, she was going to get Bella alone and tell her to leave Jacob alone. Tell her to keep her hands of her man. No one would overhear them; it was not as if they had magical hearing.

"Yeah right, Why I outta beat you to death right here, right now." Leah hissed, leaning towards her. "It'll be better for everyone!"

Maisy flinched and stepped back. "Please, I just want to apologize, and then I'll leave."

Leah stiffened her expression turning conflicted. "I…" An odd expression covered her face, and then she hide it with a sigh. "Fine. Okay. Apologize, and then get the fuck out. You can't stay for the party."

Maisy frowned. "Party?" What party? Why had no one told her about this?

Leah rolled her eyes. "Yeah, Bella's going away Party… And it was not my idea to invite you. Bella said so."

"But I wasn't invited." Maisy replied in confusion.

"Yeah you were shithead…stop acting."

"But, I'm not."

"Yeah, yeah. Get inside, apologize, and get out!" Leah grabbed Maisy by the arm and dragged her inside, yanking her along into the living room.

"I'd appreciate not being manhandled!" Maisy huffed in annoyance. Leah had a surprisingly hard grip on her arm, she could feel it starting to lose feeling, and it was becoming numb.

"I'd appreciate you shutting up; your voice makes me sick." Leah spat, tightening her hold on Maisy before practically flinging her into the living room.

Maisy stumbled into the room, and attempted to straighten out her clothes, and hair, glancing around the room. According to every expression in the room, she was not welcome. At all.

Everyone was watching her angrily. Her old best friend Rachel Black was glaring at her so fiercely, so irately, that Maisy felt like she would begin to melt, and a familiar saying rolled through her mind…If looks could kill…

Quil, Jared and Paul looked disgusted. Embry, Seth and Bella were nowhere in sight.

The only one who looked indifferent at her presence was Jared's girlfriend…Kathy or something.

Rachel, still holding the intense glare, began to move towards her, slowly. Maisy found she was moving backwards as Rachel approached her. Rachel's eyes were crazed, as if she'd lost it. However, just then, Paul appeared behind Rachel and pulled her into his arms, murmuring, "No, Rach. Not now."

She cleared her throat, and attempted to speak in her clearest voice. "Where's Bella?" Instead, it came out weak and strained.

"Upstairs." Leah said simply, and then sighed. Maisy glanced her way; she noticed Leah had her back to her. Now, that she looked around almost everyone was focussed on the doorway. She frowned, what was happening?

Maisy felt so disorientated. So much was happening, and so quickly. Moreover, what was new… Bella was fucking leaving? When did that happen? She founded she felt little to no remorse about Bella's impending departure. She found she was elated that Bella was going…Jacob could be hers truly. She would make him forget about Bella. She knew she could…If only-

BOOM!

A blast resounded from the hallway, and everyone surged forward towards it, in curiosity and alarm. There was a cry of dismay, and the screech of Leah's voice, screaming "Jake, you idiot!"

Then Jacob appeared in the living room doorway, looking tall, handsome and angry, with a very enraged and pissed off Leah behind him.

Jacob didn't know what made him do it. Yes, he was anxious, worried and angry. Also, he was terrified, and slowly feeling like he was dying inside, ever since Bells had drifted further and further away from him.

Nevertheless, breaking down Bella's front door was not the way to go.

No wonder Leah was so enraged, he'd almost punched her in the face upon entering the house. Basically, he'd abandoned his motorcycle halfway to the house, and run the rest of the way as soon as he had realized everyone was already there. Quil, Jared, Embry, Seth, Paul, Rachel, Kim, Leah and even Maisy were already at Bella's house beginning the party without him. It incensed more than anything else. The fact that Maisy was there especially. How could she? Why didn't she tell him?

Thank goodness for Bells though. Thank goodness, she'd left him a message or he wouldn't have known. Bells…just the thought of her made his heart clench, and warmth flooded him. The weeks without her had been complete torture. Jacob was willing to give up Maisy's help just so he could be friend with Bella again…There was always potential for more. Jacob shook the thought from his head…No, Bella didn't like him that way.

"Jake, you are such a fucktard!" Leah hissed from behind him, "Oh, I'm gonna be dramatic, let's break down Bella's front door, and beat up Leah in the process! It'll be fun!" Leah mocked in a deep voice, attempting to mimic his voice.

"I'm sorry, Lee. It was an accident." Jacob knew his apology wasn't enough, but he honestly didn't care at the moment. All he wanted was to see was Bella. And according to his wolf senses, Bella was upstairs… with Seth and Embry. What the fuck? An odd twisted feeling tightened his stomach. He refused to consider what it might be.

"Accident, my ass." She shoved past him and ambled into the living room, plonking down on the couch beside Kim who was watching him with a quizzical expression on her face.

"Jake!" A sickly sweet voice called out to him, he recognized and hated it immediately. "Jake, what are you doing here?"

Jacob felt his pupils dilate, and he felt his blood pressure hit the roof. His heat matching the temperature of the sun. He glared irately in her direction, his hands balling into fists so austerely that he was sure he felt some of the veins in hands snap. "What I'm doing here?" He repeated calmly through gritted teeth. "Why? Do you have a problem with it? Is it another thing I can't do?"

Maisy seemed very taken aback. "I was just asking…" She muttered, looking very embarrassed.

"I could ask the same thing… What are you doing here? Since you neglected to tell me about the party! What are your fucking motives?" Jacob asked in the same incensed tone.

Maisy grew very livid, balling up her fists. "That's none of your business! And I didn't know about the party either!" she spat at him heatedly.

"Yeah right, of course you didn't." Paul scoffed, snorting obnoxiously, after a look from Rachel he shut up.

"Of course it's my business! Bella is my best friend! And because of you, I haven't seen her for two weeks! Two fucking weeks! I don't know why I listened to you!" Jacob spat back.

"Well! I'm sorry I didn't know!" Maisy said sarcastically, revealing her bitchy side. "I thought I was your girlfriend!"

Everyone was silent now, just watching them two. Jacob honestly didn't know how to respond, he wasn't his girlfriend, not anymore. He didn't want her help if this was what came from it. He remained uncommunicative.

After a minute, Rachel rose to her feet, smirking slightly.

"Here. Bella wrote this." she handed him a note, sitting down again without another word. As he began to read it a strong overpowering scent, so intense his knees went weak, emanated its way up his nose. The letter fell to the ground. Moreover, he knew she was there behind him. He turned to face her, and the second her eyes met his. He was lost. Beautiful chocolate brown…

"Bella." Jacob couldn't help but murmur, as he scanned her attentively and she stared back at him in the same manner. She looked thin, pale and tired. He felt anger flare in his chest. This was all his fault! He was an idiot! He was never leaving her side again.

As she was beginning to move towards the living room, he noticed that her hand occupied with a large tanned hand. Embry. She was holding Embry's hand.

His wolf gave a growl of fury. He wanted to rip their hands apart. How could, his best friend, who was so loyal to him, do this? He couldn't explain it, but right now, he detested Embry solely for the fact that he was holding Bella's hand. What was wrong with him?

They entered the living room, Bella keeping her gorgeous eyes on him the entire time. Embry seemed nervous about something, and wouldn't meet Jacob's infuriated gaze.

"Jake, hey." Bella sent a tentative smile in his direction and his heart fluttered.

"Hey, Bells." He replied gently with a bright smile in return, forgetting that he was not alone with her.

"I Fucking Knew It!" Came a screech behind him, he whipped around, locating Maisy's fuming face.

"What?" Jacob hissed, angry at her interruption. "What did you fucking know?"

"That this bitch would stoop so low as to do something like this!" She screeched at Bella, running forward and raising a hand as if to slap her. Before Jacob could even react, a hand whipped out and snatched Maisy's, shoving her backwards. Embry.

"If you ever call her a bitch again, it'll be the last thing you'll ever do!" Embry condemned, pushing Bella behind him, who looked mildly shocked, and avoided Jacob's gaze.

Jacob wanted to pull Bella into his arms, and hide her away from Embry, and Maisy. He had had enough of this. He had had enough of everything. To be more precise, he wanted to slap Maisy too … how dare she! Bitch!

"Why are you so protective?" Maisy questioned, her face turning red. She looked flustered; Jacob felt a surge of satisfaction. Nevertheless, it was soon shattered when his heart tore into two by Embry's answer.

"Of course I'm protective, you slut. Bella's my girlfriend."

I'm sorry for this garbage. This is the worst chapter in this story so far! Please review and let me know how I did. I'm sorry if it was bad, I haven't been writing in a while. I've been busy. I assure you that the next chapter is sooooo much better than this one. This one was just really hard to write.

Don't hate me please. :(
