The Frostbitten Curse

When Frostkit was born, she was born with a curse. The curse might have been a gift, but no one see's it that way. She has the power to save lives, and end them. Everything seems to be falling around her. Her best friend dies, (or does he?). She goes through a journey of hatred and love, just to find out, she might have to save them all.

23. Chapter 22

Frostbite woke up in pain. She looked up through the branches and saw that it wasn't even Sunrise yet. Then, the piercing pain came again.

Frostbite walked to the medicine den, Echomoon would want to check her wounds.

This is kind of awkward now that I'm not cooped up in the medicine den.

Frostbite entered the medicine den and called for Echomoon. Moments later, a silver medicine cat walked out of the den.

"Hello, I'm Skybound, the Skyclan medicine cat. Echomoon is out gathering herbs, she told me to expect you."

"H-hi."

"No need to be afraid. I'm against Blossomstar, thank Starclan you killed her!"

"Alright."

This is weird, I'm not used to him.

"Echomoon told me to see if you've been in any pain lately."

"My side hurts."

"The one with the giant gash or the cut."

"Giant gash."

"That's what I figured, but medicine cats can't just guess!"

Frostbite nodded her head as he turned around to grab the herbs. He lifted his head with a bundle of herbs in his mouth. He walked around Frostbite and went to her side, so he could address the herbs. Frostbite could feel the piercing pain as he pressed the herbs on.

"I'm not going to notice anything weird, am I?" He asked.

"Well I'm not frostbitten, so no."

"What do you mean?"

"Go get me two mice."

"Okay."

Skybound left the den to get her the mice. When he returned, he dropped them in front of her.

"Now what?"

"I'll show you."

She leaned down and bit into the mouse. It turns black with large bumps, the fur turns greasy. Skybound just stares at it. Then looks back and forth from her and the mouse. Then he just stares at her.

"How?"

"I can control it with prey, as long as I don't think about it. If I think about it, it gets frostbite."

"What's the second one for?"

"I'm hungry and I don't eat frostbitten prey!"

"Okay..."

Frostbite started eating her mouse as Skybound went to get more herbs. Then, he sat down in front of her waiting. Once she was finished, he stood up.

"Do you have any belly wounds?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, I need to check them now."

"Alright."

Frostbite rolled over and exsposed her belly, so he could check her wounds. She has a giant gash straight down. Skybound started pressing the herbs on her wound, he is unlike Blizzardrain, he doesn't mutter the herbs while pressing them on.

When he was done, she got up and walked out of the den. When she saw Fallenstar on the other side of camp, she quickly walked a away from the medicine cats den entarance. She didn't want him to make a fuss over her being in there.
