Beyond glanced over at his own reflection in the rearview mirror, then averted his eyes to the brunette in the passenger seat once he'd reached a red light, to find Light already staring back at him. Light blinked a few times, clearing his throat. "You know, you're the last person I thought would have a license." He snickered. "Really? Why's that?" B raised an eyebrow, glancing back to the road and continuing to drive.
The brunette shrugged slightly, glancing out the window. "Driving's dangerous. Doubt I'll ever have a license." "You should get one, it's a big help. Or should I just keep driving you around?" He grinned, his crimson eyes still focused ahead. Light chuckled slightly, "The latter sounds better to me. Though my high school is fairly close to where I live. So I just walk." He shrugged. "Oh, okay." Beyond nodded, "So where am I going to?"
Light told him the address of his home with a slight yawn, stretching his arms. B continued driving in the direction of Light's house, occasionally glancing over at the brunette while he was distracted. Light watched the cars pass, feeling more and more nervous as they got closer to his house. The raven looked over and noticed the look on the other's face that was similar to his own. He kept one hand on the steering wheel while the other reached over and squeezed Light's hand.
Light looked over at him, surprised for a moment before a soft smile graced his lips. "Thank you." "Mhm." B smiled and held onto Light's hand, counting down the numbers on the houses until they'd reach the right one. Light bit his lip lightly as they pulled up in front of his house, watching Sayu rush out the door to greet her brother and his unknown friend. Beyond parked the car and bit his lip, glancing over at the house and stepping out of the car. He looked over to Light and who was most likely his sister running toward him.
Light rushed out of the car as his sister threw herself at him, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck, whispering something inaudible. The two hugged eachother for a moment, forgetting about Beyond who stood awkwardly behind them and rubbed the back of his neck. "Thank god you're okay!" Sayu said ecstatically as Light hugged her back tightly, chuckling. "Im fine really, but you shouldn't be thanking me." He told her, glancing over his shoulder to look at Beyond. Sayu detached herself from Light and ran over to hug Beyond, yelling 'Thank you' over and over again.
B's eyebrows raised surprised when he felt her hugging him, he chuckled and hugged her back. It did feel a bit weird for her to be thanking him though, given what had actually happened. "Of course." He smiled a bit. Sayu let him go a moment later and dragged them both inside. "Come on then! We cant stay out here all day. I already alerted the others that you were coming home. Mother's out shopping for dinner, and Father is at headquarters with Ryuzaki." She explained. Beyond nodded and allowed himself to be dragged inside, looking around at the inside of the house. It was pretty nice, definitely felt like a family home. Even Wammy's house didn't feel that way.
Light smiled slightly, Sayu had always tried to act like the older sibling.. "Father said that Ryuzaki was going to come over and see if you were okay this afternoon aswell." She added. The brunette glanced at B, his smile dropping. Beyond's eyes widened slightly but he stopped himself from showing any emotion on his face, meeting Light's gaze. He honestly hadn't planned for this and was starting to think a wig might not have been that bad of an idea. But of course he knew the panda would recognize him no matter what he looked like.
Light saw the look of shock on Beyond's face before it disappeared. "Ah, thank you, Sayu.. I'll tell you everything later, okay? I'm just going to my room." He smiled warmly at her before taking B's other hand and leading him upstairs. The raven snapped back into reality and quickly followed, looking around as they walked up the stairs and into Light's room.
The brunette opened the door to his room and walked inside, closing the door behind himself and Beyond. "What're we going to do?" He asked immediately. "I was just going to ask you.." B bit his thumb nail and looked around the room. Seemed normal looking and predictable. Light sighed, sitting down on his bed as he eyed the drawer on his desk where he hid the Death Note. Beyond did had the Shinigami eyes, if he could just give him L's name.. No. He couldn't. He was done being Kira. "I dont know.."
"Maybe I could go out for awhile?" Beyond tilted his head slightly as he thought, sitting next to him. "Hm.." Light nodded slightly with a sigh, "Do you think.. I could trust you with doing me a favor then?"
"Yeah, what is it?"
"I want you to hide the notebook for me." Light said simply, amber eyes watching the raven. B immediately remembered which notebook they were talking about and nodded slowly, "Where?" "Anywhere. Just dont tell me where." Light instructed in a stern voice. "Alright." B nodded again, this time more understanding as he thought of a few places. "Thank you.. I'm trusting you with this alright?" Light stood from the bed and went over to the drawer, sliding it open and pulling out the Death Note, staring at for a moment before slowly holding it out to B.
Beyond held his hands out and gently took the notebook as if it could fall apart. He tilted his head slightly as he looked down at the front cover, he'd never actually held one before.. Light sighed softly, feeling a huge weight lifted from his shoulders. "Light! Father and Ryuzaki are home! Get your butt down here!" Sayu called from downstairs. "I'll just stay upstairs then, Li-" B looked up and almost stumbled back when he saw Ryuk across the room. He looked down at the book then back up. "Shinigami?" The brunette had already left the room by the time Ryuk had shown himself.
"Heya." He grinned widely, sharp teeth flashing. "Name's Ryuk." The Shinigami greeted. B looked above Ryuk's head then back down at him and smiled slightly, he hadn't seen a real Shinigami before either. "I'm B." The Shinigami let out a loud chuckle, smirking wide. "Don't bother with an alias... I already know your real name.." He chuckled again. "I see Light has entrusted you with the Death Note.. What're you going to do with it?"
"Well hide it.." B looked down at the notebook, flipping through the pages. Wow, there were a lot of names in here. Some were in English but most were Japanese. He kept flipping through until he reached a blank page. "How surprising." Ryuk drawled, perching in the corner of the room behind the door. "He sure has used it alot, hasn't he? Alot more than any other human being or most Shinigamis have." He grinned widely.
Beyond nodded slowly, reading over the rules. "He has... But no more names now." B shook his head. "A shame.." Ryuk groaned with realization. "Damn, that means I'll be stuck in the human world for a while, huh? But somehow, I don't think this is the end of Kira.." "I hope it is.." The raven sighed and looked over at the pens on the desk, "Hm." An idea crossed his mind, although he knew Light wouldn't be happy. It would be hypocritical of him to even think about writing anyone's name in the Death Note...
Ryuk folded his arms behind his head, his grin seemed to spread. "I know what you're thinking, Rue.. So why note test it out?" Beyond picked up a pen and turned to a blank page, hesitating. "This would be hypocritical of me, especially after Light promised not to write anymore himself.. Although this would make things better for everyone, plus that stupid panda's had this coming.." He mumbled to himself. Before he could stop himself, he began writing down the L as his first name.
Downstairs, Light was standing in the doorway, waving to Ryuzaki as he left with Matsuda back to headquarters. He closed the front door a moment later and sighed softly, starting his way up the stairs. Beyond didn't hear him coming, only getting up to the 'L Lawl' when it was too late to hide the Death Note. Light opened the door to his room. "B, did you think of a- What are you doing?" The brunette's eyes widened as he stood in the doorway. Beyond jumped up from his spot on the bed, dropping the pen on the floor. He fumbled with the notebook and looked back up at Light, "Light I.."
The younger male walked forwards quickly and took the notebook from him, frowning, "I'm disappointed that you would even think about writing someone's name down!" He read the name quickly, letting out a sigh of relief when he saw it wasn't finished. B looked down, almost shamefully. "I know, but.. I was going to write L's.. Then we wouldn't have to worry anymore, we'd be much better off.."
"You were being a hypocrite! Nevermind, I'll get Sayu to hide it." He muttered, closing the notebook and turning his back to B. "What good will it do with Ryuzaki dead? None." "I'm sorry Light.." He stood, "Don't be mad, you can still trust me.." He gently hugged Light from behind. He knew it was a bad idea.
Light sighed faintly, staring at the cover of the notebook."This thing messes with your head, B.. You kill one person and can't stop thinking of all the people who deserve to die, and seconds later, you've already written their name down." He spoke in a slightly pained voice. Beyond nodded understandably, resting his chin on Light's shoulder. "I know..." B had killed people with his own two hands before, the notebook didn't feel the same.
Light tilted his head slightly to let it rest against Beyond's."I hate it.. This notebook." He frowned. "You didn't hate it until I.. Did that." B referred to the kiss, nuzzling comfortably into his shoulder, his arms kept around his waist. "Oh shut up, people's affection gets to me. And I was in shock." Light grumbled, throwing the notebook onto his desk with a huff. B grinned slightly and spun Light around, keeping his hands on his waist. He tilted his head and kissed the brunette's lips.
Light sighed faintly against his lips, a light smile coming into place as he gently pressed his lips back against the raven's. B pressed Light closer against him, he licked Light's lower lip. He was enjoying the warmth and closeness from the other. The brunette slid his hand to rest against the back of Beyond's neck, humming softly as his eyes closed. Beyond soon slipped his tongue in Light's mouth and played with the other tongue, his thumbs rubbed in soft circles on his waist. Light moaned softly, closing his eyes tighter as he tilted his head slightly, his spare arm wrapping around B's back. B shivered a bit hearing Light's sounds. He used the moment to dominate in the kiss, his grip on Light's waist tightening a bit.
Light grunted slightly as Beyond took over the kiss. He suddenly pushed the older male back onto the bed, straddling his hips. B pulled Light on top of him on the bed without breaking the kiss, holding his waist. His tongue explored the inside of the other's mouth as he gripped the end of Light's shirt. The brunette slid his hands up to clench into Beyond's hair, groaning softly as he tilted his head. Beyond emitted a small sigh of pleasure as he slid a hand up Light's shirt, his fingers moved slyly from his back to his chest and going lower.
Light's body shivered from the pleasure, feeling Beyond rub his tongue against Light's, and his fingers linger by the waistline. B knew with how close Light's body was to his own he could probably feel his heart beating faster and hopefully not the excitement below the waist. Light let out an shuddering moan, sliding his tongue against Beyond's in a heated kiss as he pressed closer, hands in his raven locks.
Chills ran down B's spine hearing the brunette moan, he pressed his waist against Light's, eager for more touching. Light bit down on his lip softly at the feel of being so close to another. All of this affection was foreign to him. Though he knew that they had to stop before things went too far, or someone else came into the room. Slowly, Light pulled away with a soft groan. Beyond groaned and frowned, propping himself up on his elbows. He looked at Light with a raised eyebrow.
"We.. Can't.." Light mumbled breathlessly, light brown locks hanging loosely in front of his slightly flustered face, hands resting behind the raven. "But why?" B pouted childishly, completely forgetting they weren't alone in the house. Light coughed and averted his eyes before sitting back in his lap."We'd be heard.. And anyway, I'm not that sort of person.." "Oh, right." He rested his hands on Light's waist, "I take it you haven't yet..?"
Light's amber eyes widened and he quickly flustered. "Of course not!" He huffed. Beyond chuckled, "I can already tell, you've got a virgin face." He rubbed Light's cheek with his thumb and smirked. "Shut up..! I'm only 18! You expect me to already have done that?" Light turned his head away, muttering incoherently. "Well I did when i was younger than you.." B blinked, his voice growing less confident.
Light frowned slightly,"I'm not.. You know, ready.. For that sort of thing.." He mumbled. "That's alright, I'm prepared to wait." The raven smiled again, shaking off the memories in his mind as he kissed Light's cheek. "Sorry.." Light sighed, leaning into the touch a bit. "It's alright." B assured him, he'd rather wait until Light was 100% ready anyway. He sighed and played with his hair, "What to do now?"
"I think I ought to explain to mother now that I'm home.. Are you going to come with me?" Light asked, slowly sitting up. "Mhm." He waited for Light to get up before standing. B rubbed the back of his neck a bit nervously and stayed behind Light. The brunette smiled softly and stood, opening the door and heading downstairs, a reluctant Beyond following behind.
