Light sighed faintly as they entered the Gym, looking around the room. Their teacher didn't bother to scold them since he knew the brunette would have a valid reason for being late. After the said male had changed into his gym clothes, he eyed the players on each team, most of which he knew were good players, and chose a team before the game begun. Beyond looked at the bleachers behind him, backing up and taking a seat. He already did see a few students sitting there and figured that's where he should be while Light played. He rubbed at the side of his neck, resting his elbow on his knee.

The brunette looked twards the other team to see his ex-friend staring at him before smirking wide. This was going to be competition.. How fun. The game begun by the sound of a whistle and Light rushed forward. Beyond bit his thumb nail, following Light's gaze he realized why he wore a smirk. His eyes darted around to watch the fast movements of the players, at least this was one sport he could actually understand.

Light was quite competitive in basketball, to say the least. Especially when versing someone he absolutely despised. Whenever he got the ball, he was tempted to throw it at the other male's face, but he didn't. Rather rammed him in the shoulder whenever he passed him. B smirked, watching as Light purposely knocked into his old friend, glaring daggers at him and playing really competitive. It was exciting to watch. And the fact that Light was actually pretty good with basketball was even better... Attractive really.

Light stood back for a moment, resting his hands on his knees after passing the ball to another teammate who belted down the court, panting slightly. Beyond tilted his head slightly as he looked Light up and down. He waited until the brunette looked up and made eye contact with him before waving slightly, the smirk still on his face. The brunette smiled slightly at Beyond for a moment before once again concentrating on the game as the ball was flung through the air towards the opposing team's hoop, quickly darting forward and jumping up with a raised arm to block it, hitting it towards another teammate.

B's eyebrows shot up, damn he was good.. His still slightly widened eyes darted around to watch the players, mostly Light, while biting his thumb nail. Light caught his old friends angered look and smirked at him as his own team scored another point, their teacher calling out half way to allow them to relax for a few minutes and grab a drink. Beyond smiled and rubbed his neck, sitting up in his seat when he saw they were taking a break. He actually did enjoy watching Light play, the last time he'd played himself he got hit in the head with the ball and knocked down. He snickered at the memory.

"What're you snickering about?" Light asked curiously, sitting down besides Beyond with a bottle of water in hand. "The last time I played I got knocked out by the ball." B grinned, scratching his head. "Ah, that explains why you're not playing." The brunette chuckled lightly, drinking out of his bottle of water. Beyond chuckled and shrugged, "Yeah, guess sports are a weakness for me." He didn't really care though, it wasn't like he even wanted to play. Light smiled faintly and shrugged. "It was never really my thing either, you know." He pushed a strand of brunette hair out of his eyes, sighing deeply.

The raven tilted his head slightly, "But you like basketball?" He reached up and moved a few strands of hair out of Light's eyes for him. Light smiled softly and nodded once. "Yeah, I think I'm quite alright at it.. And it's really grown on me the past few years." "Quite alright? You're very good at it." Beyond smiled, patting his head. "Don't pat me." Light snickered, waving away Beyond's hand before blinking at him. "You really think so?" B chuckled, "Yeah, I do. I couldn't even keep up with you at times." He ran his fingers through his own hair. "Ah, thank you.." The brunette grinned softly, taking another sip of his water before setting it down beside him.

"Mhm." Beyond nodded and looked over, swiping the bottle of water and taking a sip himself. The younger rolled his eyes, scoffing. "You could've just asked, you know." He snickered lightly, eyeing the raven. "Yeah, but that's no fun." B winked, setting the bottle back down where it was. "Right.." The brunette laughed softly before standing as they were called back onto the court. Beyond shrugged and waved slightly as Light left, leaning back in his seat and playing with the water bottle.

The game begun again quickly, Light's anticipation non-faltering as he rushed around the court. B took another sip of water as he watched, he'd already predicted since the start of the game that Light's team would win. It was kind of obvious to him. He absentmindedly touched the marks on his own neck as he continued watching to see if he was correct. His team was a few points off from winning and he was currently dashing forward to attempt to steal the ball off of his old friend when the unthinkable happened. The ball was suddenly pegged at him, hitting him square in the forehead, causing him to fall back and hit the ground hard.

Beyond's eyes widened and he jumped up, knocking over the closed water bottle. He didn't care about staying off to the side by himself, only running over to see if he was okay. One of his teammates had already started yelling at his old friend angrily while Light raised a hand to head, groaning and closing his eyes tightly. "Ugh.." He ground out. B hurried over and bent down slightly, at least he wasn't bleeding. "Raito..? You okay?" The raven knew exactly what happened, but he could get mad after.

"Yeah.." Light moaned slightly, attempting to sit up but being pushed back down by one of his teammates, scolding him. "He deserved it! He's queer!" He could faintly hear his old friend yelling at the teacher. Beyond heard this and grit his teeth, spinning around to face the male who argued with the teacher. His hands balled into fists, it wasn't easy to stop himself from getting angry. The brunette grunted and closed his eyes tighter, eyebrows furrowing as he listened faintly to their arguing.

B grabbed his own wrist to stop himself from swinging a punch, it probably wouldn't go over well to do this in class let alone in front of a teacher. He spun around to face Light and knelt down. "When we get out of school, I want to kill this kid." He told him bluntly. Light opened a pained amber eye and grinned weakly."Already done." He muttered, pushing himself up onto his elbows a few moments later. Beyond frowned and looked over at the one he wanted to kill with crossed arms. He remembered the Death Note and was actually a bit disappointed since he'd wanted to kill him himself. It would be much more satisfying, finally satisfying his murderous side with the help of his special knife. Not some heart attack. Light sighed faintly, left with a giant headache a few moments later, his old friend had already stormed out of the gym.

B sat down next to Light, tilting his head slightly. "Headache?" The brunette didn't dare move his head in any way, so instead mumbled, "Yeah.." "Isn't there like.. A nurse or something you need to go to?" Beyond looked towards the gym doors. "It's nothing too serious.. It'll be gone in a few hours.." Light mumbled, a hand still on his head. "If you say so." The raven reached out and lightly touched his hair. Light sighed and closed his eyes. The gym was practically empty since half the class had followed after his old friend, the rest being ushered out by the teacher so it wasn't loud.

B looked around, no one was next to them. "Light.. Next time, don't write someone's name in the Death Note.. I'll kill them myself." He mumbled, still playing with his hair. Light blinked at him slowly before sighing and nodding slightly. "Alright.." He mumbled. Perhaps if Light's head hadn't been throbbing in pain as much as it was, he wouldn't have agreed so easily. Beyond nodded and dropped his hand from Light's hair. He found the grin that threatened to show on his face, he honestly couldn't wait. He didn't even care who it was. The brunette's eyes were wide, the look Beyond's face looked almost crazed..

B shook his head, dropping his grin. He looked back up to Light and blinked, "What?" " Don't change.." The brunette mumbled softly, eyes not able to make contact with Beyond's. Beyond bit his lip, he knew that when he did kill someone Light could never be there.. He could never see him like that.. He tilted Light's head up to look at him, "I'm still gonna be me.." Now whether the real him was the nice person Light saw or the insane person he saw, was a different story.

Light nodded slowly, he wanted to believe Beyond, but a part of him was still uneasy. The feeling of Beyond killing someone while he knew it was happening made him feel sick. B glanced around, no one was around them. He kissed his nose quickly before letting go. "Can you stand up?" Light blinked slowly before unsteadily making a move to get up, wincing slightly in pain. "Well don't force yourself.." Beyond eyed him nervously, offering his hand to help him up. The brunette took his hand and pulled himself to his feet, head pounding in the process, but everything else felt fine.

"Okay." B sighed and didn't let go as he looked over at Light. Something was different, maybe Light was.. Afraid of him? No.. He'd just seen him grin, that's all.. Light sighed faintly, "Is it really necessary that you have to kill someone..?" He asked quietly. Beyond bit his lip and was silent for a moment. "Yes." He answered honestly in a low voice. "Why?" He pressed, watching the raven with slightly worried eyes.

"I don't know how to explain it and quite frankly I don't want to. I don't want you running away from me right now." Beyond squeezed his hand slightly. "Alright.." The younger mumbled softly, closing his eyes briefly and resting his head against Beyond's chest. "...Light, I love you. I don't know what I'd do if you left me." B spoke seriously but in a quiet tone, his hand shook a bit. "I won't leave you.. I promise." The brunette mumbled softly, wrapping his arms loosely around Beyond.

Beyond sighed, taking a breath to relax himself. "You say that now but.. You've never seen how I can get.." It was like a split personality in Beyond that was only satisfied with blood. "But that doesn't change anything. Because there's this side of you still there.." Light smiled slightly. "Both sides love you, I know that." The raven chuckled and squeezed his hand, it sometimes surprised him how much he loved the brunette. "Good.." He sighed out contently, eyes closed and hugging B. He smiled and returned the hug, rubbing his back and kissing the top of his head. Light smiled softly, leaning in more and tilting his head up to lightly kiss his jaw. Beyond sighed contently, tilting his head down a bit toward Light and stroking his hair.

They were silent for a few moments before a wave of pain hit Light, causing him to flinch. "My head hurts.." He mumbled. "You should go to the nurse or something." B was a bit worried, "Point to where it hurts." "It's just a headache.." He sighed,"It'll pass over.." Light nuzzled into the raven slightly. "If you're sure, I'm just a worry wart that's all." Beyond grinned, rubbing his head softly. "I'm fine." The brunette chuckled softly and smiled up at him, hugging him tight.

B chuckled and kissed his forehead, patting his back. "So What're we doing now?" He looked toward the doors. "We don't have long left in this double period.. It'll be lunch soon." Light explained, raising a hand to his head. "Okay.. And question; when is that friend of yours supposed to die?" "Exactly a minute after the last bell rings." Light smirked slightly. "Nice." Beyond chuckled, well Light's smirk really was attractive. He stuffed his hands in his pockets, looking around for his bag. "Where'd I put it.." He mumbled.

"Where's what?" Light questioned, raising a brow as he watched Beyond search. "My bag.. I did take it down with me.. Ah, there it is." B looked over to the bleachers, did he leave it there? Whatever. He picked it up and looked inside. "Is there something specific you're looking for?" Light asked, following him over to his bag.

Beyond moved his strawberry jam jar out of the way and grasped the item he was worried he lost, clutching it in his hand briefly. "Err, no I got it." He shoved his special knife down to the bottom of the bag. Light blinked slowly, watching the raven cautiously. He knew that he was hiding something but decided not to ask. "Right.." "Anyway.. Let's go." B smiled again, swinging the bag over his shoulder. Light nodded slightly and followed the raven out of the Gym, "We may aswell wander around for the rest of this period.." He muttered. "Okay." B took Light's hand and walked out into the hall.
