Ok, so I have A LOT to apologize for. Firstly and most importantly I am sorry on how long it took to get this chapter out. When I was writing it I didn't feel the chapter numerous times and had to restart. Then I got sick and then I moved home, so a lot of stuff got in the way of writing this chapter. Secondly I want to apologize for how short this chapter is. You all know how much I hate short chapters but there was no way of making this chapter longer because how it's a "understanding the character better chapter". LASTLY I want to apologize for this being a filler chapter, it's not one of the strongest but I had to make this chapter to where Emma understood what she was and how to make her powers seem natural (the ones she knows about). Anyway I am feeling the story again and will be posting more. I hope you like this chapter and PLEASE review. Sorry for everything and I promise next chapter will be LONGER.

Emma woke up in the hospital room a few hours later panting her body soar and heavy. "What a dream," she whispered as she reached to rub her head, she winced. Emma looked at her shoulder that was still covered with gauze wrap. "Impossible," she groaned as the door opened and Derek walked in.

"Why?" Derek groaned holding an ice pack in his hand. Emma stared at him fuzzy as he walked over to her. "Emma, you…do you…I can't," he growled staring at her as if he could kill her. "I was trying to protect you."

"From what?" she laughed before grabbing her shoulder in pain. Derek knelt next to the bed pulling the gauze wrap from her shoulder. Emma glanced at the clock seeing it was almost eleven. She missed the entire game. "How long have I been out?" she asked trying to change the subject. Derek ignored her as he began examining the wound. "Derek, it's not healing," she groaned.

"You're not like us Emma," he growled as she saw the anger in his eyes.

"You are better than us, and I needed you," Peter spoke up standing in the door frame. Derek rose and stood between her and his uncle. "Emma, what you posses…if controlled can be something extraordinary." Peter grabbed the ice pack from his nephew's hand and walked past him. "Watch," he whispered with a wicked smile. Placing the ice pack on her shoulder Emma screamed as the wound burned like fire. Small ice crystals formed on her skin and suddenly the bite mark turned into blue skin suddenly matching her normal skin color. The ice crystals evaporated and Emma stared at the two werewolves before her.

"What the hell was that," she screamed pressing her back to the headboard.

"You can control things….of ice," Derek said slowly as Peter smiled sending fear into Emma's heart. Emma puckered her lips before a below of laughter escaped her.

"Oh, that's class," she laughed as Peter growled his eyes flashing red causing her to grow silent. Derek stepped closer to. "You kept this from me?" she squinted at Derek.

"Of course blame me, yeah that makes so much sense," Derek snarled from the corner of the room.

"Aw, look at the happy couple," Peter smirked.

"Quiet," Emma pointed at Peter as her eyes turned a sharp white which made Peter smile even more. "So what am I?" she asked looking at her hands as if she was a monster.

"You're what the dutch call the Sneeuw Koningin," Peter said smugly as Emma puckered her lips before letting out a thunderous laugh. "You think I'm joking? Emma look what you've done, your body has healed quicker by accepting it's true form."

"So you're saying everything my father studied, all of it, is real?" she said looking at them carefully not believing a word that was being said.

"Of course," Derek finally spoke up. "Keeping this information was actually the hard part. Emma that box we found here, wasn't really found. I actually took it," he said slower as she looked at him funny. "Your dad didn't give it to me, I stole it, after I found out he was leaving I took it to protect your family and keep them at bay. Then the house burned down and I left thinking it burned with it."

"You kept all that from me…"

"What a pity so sad," Peter said monotoned before grabbing Derek. "Emma, I can help you, just trust me," he pointed at Emma and left her there.

"Wait," she called out running after them. She walked past Peter and stared Derek. "What about my family?" she squinted at Peter.

"You know, the whole hunter thing?" Derek barked annoyed with her questions.

"My brother would protect me," she laughed.

"Oh you really don't believe that," Derek laughed as she glared at him. "Emma, your brother will kill me, you, and Scott without any questions asked."

"Felix would never, he's my brother," she said dumbfounded.

"By all means, show him, then see what he does," Derek growled before turning from her.

"Enough, you'll have plenty of time later," Peter sighed pulling Emma back. She pulled herself from Peter.

"What do you want from me?" Emma growled as Peter smiled.

"Stay here, little queen, can't let my….asset get hurt now," he said darkly causing her to step away from him.

"What do you want?!" she yelled as Peter and Derek left her in the hospital room. She ran into the hall and found no one seeing she was the only one there. As Emma stood in the halls of the hospital alone she ran back to the room. Grabbing her phone she called Scott only to have it ring to his voice mail.

"The game isn't that important Scott," she groaned nervously calling again, and again, and again.

"Hello?" Scott asked as she sighed relieved.

"Finally, it took you forever to answer, where are you?" she asked quickly grabbing her necklace. She smiled in peace as she played with the necklace in her fingers.

"I'm at the school, the game just ended, where are you. Stiles said something about…"

"Scott, you need to leave quickly, just get out of there and go home," she demanded as the other end grew quiet.

"What are you doing here?" she heard Scott ask before the phone went silent. Emma sat on the bed looking at her reflection in metal bowls next to the bed.

"Why me? What's so special about me," she whispered grabbing the bowl. As she held onto the bowl small ice particles formed around her fingers. Frightened Emma dropped the bowl and covered her ears at the ring from the bowl smashing the floor. She looked at the clock again, grabbed her coat and ran out of the hospital. Emma jumped in her car and held down the gas speeding down the street. Beacon Hills High finally came into view and she sighed in relief as she parked the car. She looked around carefully the parking lot was dark and quiet. Emma climbed out of the car and ran to the back door. A strong headache shook her body and she closed her eyes and quickly opened them her eyes shown white.

Emma let a long breath out and saw her breath cloud in front of her. "It…it's not cold," she whispered raising her hand touching the cloud. The cloud slowly swirled before her dancing around her hand. Flicking her finger forward the cloud flew at a fast pace down the hall and Emma followed it. As it hit the boys locker door the white cloud turned blue and seemed to evaporate. Emma's eyes returned to their normal color. As she pushed the door open she found Scott kneeling on the floor holding his neck.

"Scott?" Emma said relieved running over to him. "Are you ok? What happened?" she asked nervously hoping she wasn't too late.

"Derek's helping Peter," Scott growled angrily as Emma closed her eyes her hand inches from his shoulder. "This is getting out of hand," he said angrily. "We need to stop him."

"Yeah, we need to stop him," Emma said almost numb and robotic, but Scott believed her. "Come on, let's get you…" As she placed her hand on his arm he winced and pushed her back. "What's wrong?" she asked nervously holding her hands up in defense.

"You're….cold," he said slowly as she felt a lump growing in her throat.

"It's the Rey-"

"No," Scott said funny. "You're colder? Like freezing temperature," he said slowly as she grabbed her necklace. "Emma, What…" Scott stopped as her eyes shifted white.

"I'm sorry," she cried before running out of the locker room.

"EMMA!" Scott's voice echoed from the room she just left, but she kept running.

"Don't let them know," she whispered to herself as she ran home. She looked around as she made her way to the front door a nervous feeling falling upon her as she looked at the front door. "Don't let him know," she whimpered looking at her hands. The door opened and Felix stood in front of her.

"Where have you been?" he asked as she smiled innocently.

"I was…at the game," she smiled.

"Really? The game ended an hour ago," he sighed as she nodded.

"I know, I was talking to Scott afterwards." Emma's phone began to ring and she answered. "Hello?" she asked walking past Felix, but he grabbed her forearm a cold chill traveling up his arm.

"Emma," Allison sighed sounding hurt. "Can you come over?" Emma herd nothing Allison said as she looked at her brother nervously. He pulled his hand away.

"Are you feeling ok? You're so cold," Felix said his harsh voice transforming to care.

"I'm fine," she said to Felix sternly.

"Is that your brother?" Allison asked.

"Yeah, sorry Allison, I missed everything you just said," she responded noticing her brother staring at the necklace around her neck. She turned from him and walked up the stairs.

"Emma," he yelled as she ignored him and closed her door behind her.

"Could you possibly come over?" Allison asked as Emma looked at her own reflection. Bae nudged her leg and began panting. He barked and growled as she looked at the reindeer herder.

"Yeah, give me twenty minutes," she said before hanging up. "Bae?" she gave her attention to the dog who continued to growl. She noticed the dogs hair on it's neck rising. "Bae?" she repeated holding her hand up. Bae's growling and barking seized in seconds.

Bae stretched out almost in a bowing motion. "You came to me," she whispered kneeling next to the dog. "You found me," she said slower. "You knew me," she continued before Bae licked her face. She smiled as the dog continued licking her. The cold had not bothered Bae and as Emma hugged him she noticed his fur began forming small ice crystals where she touched him. "Bae," she squealed as the dog panted not caring about the snow she created. "What are you?" she whispered as her phone vibrated.

Where are you? The text read from an unknown number. The words ran a cold feeling through Emma.

"I have to go, you be good," she commanded Bae who jumped on her bed and fell quickly asleep. After Emma packed a few articles of clothing she ran for the front door.

"Now where are you going? Back to the school for the game?" Felix asked crossed as she squinted at him.

"No, I'm going to Allison's if you must know," she said harshly. "Not that you care, I'll be home tomorrow," she growled before walking out not allowing Felix to say a word. She climbed into her car and drove off, hoping he would leave her alone.
