Just a short, random Japril one-shot. There was no prompt but I've had the idea in my head for awhile now. Let me know what you think!

Even April was shocked that she was still getting away with working twelve hour shifts while eight months pregnant. She felt nearly ready to pop and was definitely one of those women who prominently showed during pregnancy.

She was near hour seven of her shift and the ER was dead. Since it rarely ever happened, she decided it was the opportune time for a nap. She had her pager after all.

Almost all of the on-call rooms were empty since it was the middle of the night so she picked the closest one to her ER and carefully crawled into the twin size bed. Every muscle in her body ached, her ankles were swollen and she hadn't been able to keep anything down all day. She thought about how if Owen weren't away traveling at a conference she probably would have just gone home for the day.

Not even a minute later she was surprised to see her husband enter the same room. He turned the light off and closed the door behind him before speaking to her.

"You look terrible." She noticed, pointing toward her husbands pinched and tired face. "What's wrong baby?

April pulled herself up onto the bed and into the sitting position against the headboard. He shook his head, pulling off his scrub top and leaning down to untie his sneakers and pull those off too. "I have the migraine from hell." She sighed. He got awful migraines every now and then they made her feel helpless.

He scooted into bed with her and nestled his head on her chest while wrapping his arms around her belly. "I'm sorry sweetie. Can I do anything to make you feel better?"

She felt him shake his head, noticing that he was already nearly asleep. The position she was sitting in wasn't necessarily the most comfortable for her and she knew she wouldn't be able to fall asleep but she'd never seen her husband look more adorable. She continued just slowly rubbing circles down his back until his breathing evened out and she knew he was asleep. She could do this...she could be a good mom. She's already a good wife.
