Chapter 3
"Good morning!" A familiar voice shouted, "You must be Yuri Seiko! Awesome!"
'Naruto…' I was flabbergasted. He had actually become the Hokage.
He saw my expression and then grinned a smile I hadn't seen in years. "Surprised that the Hokage is so young and good looking, aren't you?"
I quickly gained my composure and spoke, "Oh yes, I had heard that the last Hokage was a lady. Sorry I was misinformed."
"Oh no, it's fine. That was Tsuande, she had been training me for two years and it has been about 11 months since I had taken over."
"Oh I see," I drifted off, and then realised that Naruto was suddenly staring at me. I bent my head down, hoping he had not recognised me yet.
"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to stare," He got off his chair and walked closer to me, "It's just that you look awfully similar to-"
"Hokage!" The door slammed open and in walked a familiar blonde haired woman.
"Ino," He steeped back from me, "What is it?"
"Naruto, are you hitting on the new girl already?" She dropped the formality and stormed up to him. "What would Hinata think?! She's at home pregnant with your child, and here you are flirting with the Kirigakure chick." She pointed at me. But I didn't flinch, as I was in shock about what she had just said.
Hinata and Naruto are together. FINALLY! She's pregnant…I can't believe I missed that.
"I wasn't," He defended, "It's just that she looks very similar to…" He didn't finish his words and then he shook his head. "Nothing. Its not possible…Anyways, Ino this is Yuri Seiko, show her around and then take her to the hotel she'll be staying at for the next week."
Ino eyed me, and I tried hiding my face under my long fringe. She then dismissed it and told me to follow her. Thank god…my large forehead has been hidden.
I chuckled quietly, thinking about the times she used to tease me about my forehead.
As we stepped out the Hokage building, she led me down to the main area. "So, Seiko have you ever been to Kohana before?"
"Uh no…first time. I've always wanted to come here though, so I've done some research."
"I see well," She pointed to a ramen shop, "That's one of the best in Kohona, so if you want to have ramen come here. Naruto, the hokage, is quite a fan of this shop." She pointed at the end of the road. "At the end of this road, you'll see the building town hall. That's where the seminar will take place. A sorts of ninjas from around this area will attend, including myself."
We continued to walk down the road past a few more shops until we got to the hotel. "This is were you will be staying. You just need to check in, everything has been paid for. Today you can rest and explore the area. Tomorrow, the seminar will start at 8am sharp, so bring what you need."
"Thanks Ino," I said, with a smile. It was good to see her doing so well, "I guess I'll see you around then,"
"Yeah, it was nice to meet you Seiko," She gave me a small smile back. "See you tomorrow,"
"Yeah, tomorrow," She then just turned away and walked off.
I let out a sigh of relief. Today I had met Naruto, Ino and had a quick run in with Kiba, Shino and Sasuke…and it seems that no-one had recognised me yet. Hopefully, it would stay that way.
I stepped inside the lobby and headed to the front desk. Pulling out my ID, I told the receptionist my name, and showed her my papers. She warmly welcomed me and gave me my room key. I walked up the stairs to the second floor.
The hotel reminded me of Kohona. It was styled to be just like living in a Kohona house. I opened up my room to find it small and cozy. Perfect for the week.
I placed my bag on the floor and then closed the door.
I let of a breath of air, as I looked into the mirror. My hair was purple, my eyes were brown, and my hair was mid-way down my back and I had a fringe, which covered one of my eyes and my forehead. I had learned a 'trick' during my stay in Suna, it allowed me to change a few strands of my DNA, meaning I could change my hair colour and my eye colour at will. But it was also something, which was draining some of my power. I was constantly using it and thus could never allowed my chakra to be fully used in something else, without letting everything go. It was due to that, that I took up the art of weaponry. Only at night, I would let go and allow my hair and eye colour to return to it's original state.
Pushing away all my doubts for the week, I took off my clothes and stepped inside the shower.
I was only going to be there for a week. I could hide everything for a week.
