Lisanna

Before, it was red, like fire and blood and love.

After, it was white, like snow and swan-feathers and peace.

Before, it was on her shoulder, a badge of honour, clear to all who battled her that she was a fighter and proud of it.

After, it was on her leg, not as obvious, but still clear to those who knew. She was no less of a fighter, but she didn't feel like she had to proclaim it any more.

Before, it marked her as Lisanna, a free spirit who went where she wanted and did what she would.

After, it was the same colour and in the same place as her sister's, and the perfect reverse of Elfman's. It marked her as a Strauss. It tied them together, the group that would never again be separated.

Before, it said Me.

After, it said Us.
