I hate updating so late. :( sorry guys, school is not being nice to me right now. Math and English in the same semester is never fun.
Anyway, thank you for your patience. Also, I want to thank all of you for supporting my story for so long and putting up with my amateur writing skills. And for doing so, I figured I would let all of you know a little more detail about this story. If you don't want to read it, just skip this next paragraph and enjoy this chapter! :D
For those of you who do want to know, this story is based on a day-dream I had (and still do) when I am on the bus, listening to music on my way to and from school. The characters such as Carmen, Kristy, Tasha, Alex, Carmen's family, are all based on my life. Tasha, Kristy, and Alex are my best friends. I tried to get their personalities right, but it is kind of hard (for me anyway...) Carmen's family is, well, my family. And Carmen is me :3 Of course I changed all of our names. The main 'Bot in this story was supposed to be Bumblebee (because he is my favorite :D) but I see that Ironhide has taken his place. That is ok, I like him too. I know some of you may say "It is your story, Bee can still be the main 'Bot." but the story has a mind of it's own! And I have nothing against Ironhide :D Enjoy! (warning; possibly very bad action scene... -.- my first time writing one...)
I DO NOT OWN TRANSFORMERS
Jogging on the spot in N.E.S.T's giant training room, I glance nervously at Ironhide. He had to stay behind and train me while the others went out. Apparently, Bee and Sam figured out a huge part of the Decepticon's plan, and Sentinel is the key. Hide wanted to go too but Optimus insisted that he stay here and train me while we have the chance.
We stand opposite to one another on the far sides of the room. Behind me, Kristy watches from a 50ft balcony.
"You're going to go easy on me, right?" I ask nervously, shifting from foot to foot.
Ironhide sends me a glare. "Not a chance. Are Decepticons going to go easy on you?" I shake my head. "That's what I thought." He fires up his cannons. "Now lets start. I'm getting impatient."
"Wait!" I say, holding my hands over my face protectively. "What do I do? Aren't you going to teach me some moves first? I don't know how to fight."
"You will learn from experience. Just try not to get hit." With that, he fires directly at me.
I jump back a few steps, avoiding the shot but still I feel the impact of the blow by falling onto my back. Quickly, I get back onto my feet, keeping my eyes on the giant Autobot. He's not really trying to hit me, is he? My question is answered quickly when Hide shoots right at me again, this time I teleport away from the shot, safely out of harms way.
He smiles at me. "Not bad."
Baffled, I turn to Kristy, and yell up at her, "Did you get that on tape? Ironhide gave me a compliment!" She just smiles and shakes her head.
The ground explodes behind me, tossing me forward and causing me to do a penguin slide. "Never turn your back on an opponent! Especially a Decepticon. They won't be as forgiving." Ironhide growls.
My ribs are a little sore, but I get to my feet, facing Ironhide. "Ok. Time to get serious." I think to myself. I shift my body so I am standing on my toes, legs slightly bent, and eyes focused on my 'enemy', kind of like what I do when I play volleyball.
Ironhide charges at me with surprising speed. I didn't think he could run so fast! He swats at me with his hand, but at the last second I clumsily dodge him, rolling to the right, and then jump to my feet, ready for the next attack. "I have no idea what I am doing..." His hand comes down on top of me, but I jump out of the way again. Teleporting out of his reach I yell, "I thought you were only going to shoot at me! Not try to make me a pancake!"
"I never said that." He shoots at me a couple more time but I easily dodge them, teleporting out of the way.
He continues to shoot at me, one shot after the other, only for me to teleport out of his way. I know I should try to do this without my powers, but this is just so much easier. This goes on for a little longer until the wall behind me explodes, sending chunks of concrete and dust everywhere.
The hole leads outside where fighting and yelling can be heard. I glance up a Kristy, sending her a questioning looks. She just shrugs, I can just see her outline through the think dust. "We have to leave, NOW!" Ironhide yells. I turn back to the damaged wall and see why. The 'Bots are back, but instead of fighting Decepticons, they are fighting Sentinel.
Ironhide was in his alt-mode with his doors open, waiting for us. I quickly teleport to my friend, and get us down to him. Once we are inside, Ironhide speeds out of the room. Looking out the rear window, I watch in shock as Sentinel begins to tear the base apart.
Later that day...
After Sentinel wrecked a good part of the base looking for his pillars, these pillars that I didn't know about until now. They are used to create a space bridge, a teleportation device which Sentinel is going to use to aid the Decepticons. He was on their side the whole time. I never thought that an Autobot would betray their own...
Ironhide kept Kristy and I away from the base for some time until he was sure we were safe. When we returned to the base, we were told to gather our belongings. Lennox said he had to find us a new place to stay until the Base was fixed up. So, here we are, gathering our bags from our room. For some reason it just doesn't feel right. Even though we were here for a few days, it feels like a second home.
We stack our bags by the door and sweep the room for any forgotten objects. I often forget a few things when I stay at a friends house. Unsure of what to do next, Kristy and I sit on our beds and talk about the past few days. The friends we made, the endless search for my dad, and the Decepticons. "Why do you think Sentinel made an alliance with them?" she asks.
I sigh, "I can't say... But there must be a pretty good reason. And to think that a Cybertronian ship was on our moon! How cool would it have been to be the astronauts to discover that." I lay on my back and stare at the ceiling. "I've always new there was other life out there. We are so small compared to pretty much everything in the universe." I turn to my friend. "Do you think there is more life, other than Cybertronians?"
Kristy lays back on her bed too, tucking her arms behind her head, and stares at the ceiling thoughtfully. "Maybe. I never believed in aliens. But ever since we came here and met the 'Bots, there must be."
After a moment of silence, an idea pops into my head. Something I discovered just before my training session. I jump off my bed, startling my friend. "I have to show you something!"
Kristy walks to me. "I swear, if it has anything to do with Danny Phantom-"
"It has nothing to do with Danny!" I smile. Lately I started obsessing over Danny Phantom, always showing Kristy memes or telling her about episodes. "This is much cooler."
She stands beside me. "Well? What is it?"
I am now jumping up and down with excitement. I hold out my right hand. Concentrating, a small glowing violet ball forms, sparking with electricity, at the same time I feel my energy drain. It gathers into my hand until I start to feel light headed, but I hold the energy there for my friend to see. She stares at the ball in my hand, unsure how to react to my new ability. Bright dots block my vision and I close my hand into a fist, allowing my energy to come back to me.
"What the fuck was that!?"
Grinning at my friend through dotted vision I say, "I have no idea!"
Our attention is brought to the door as Ironhide steps in, his face grimmer than usual, which worries me a little. "Lennox wants to speak with you two in his office." he says.
Kristy and I look at each other, confused, then head to Lennox's office. Luckily, this side of the base with all the rooms and dining area were left untouched by Sentinel's raid. Entering the room, we find Lennox printing off a couple sheets of paper. "New printer?" I ask, noticing the shiny black box. It looks really fancy with lots of buttons.
Taking the sheets of paper, he hands one to each of us. "Yeah. Though I don't know where it came from."
I scan over the paper in my hands. Flight from Chicago to Toronto. 11pm. "What is this?"
"Your flight home. Things are going to get dangerous from here on out."
The paper suddenly feels heavy in my hands. "You... you mean we are leaving? You're sending us home? Why?" I can feel the tears beginning to form in my eyes, but I will myself to hold them back.
Will frowns. He must have known this would upset Kristy and I. Ironhide must have known too. I smile on the inside, knowing that the big mech really does care. My smile fades though as Will explains the situation. "The Autobots have to leave. With them gone and the Decepticons here, it is safer for you two to go home, tonight, where you will be safer for the time being."
I feel as if I just got punched in the gut. Glancing over at Kristy, I notice that her expression is blank as she stares at the wall, taking in all this information. I turn to Lennox, "But without the 'Bots, no where is safe from the 'Cons! I could stay and help! I just need a little more training."
"No, Carmen. We don't have time-"
"But if I could just-"
"I said no!" I jump a little, startled by his harsh tone. Will sighs before continuing. "I'm sorry, but I can't put you two in danger. I'm not happy about the Autobots leaving either but my decision is final. You two catch the plane tonight, but you will be flying separate." I am about to object again before he cuts me off. "Think about it. If the Decepticons come after you, there is a better chance of them leaving Kristy alone. Am I right?"
I nod. Starscream came after me the first day here, and I don't want my best friend getting hurt because of me. Tears now flow down my face, I'm unable to hold them back any longer. Seeing this, Lennox motions to the door. "Go. They are waiting in the main hanger to say goodbye. Then get your things and meet me out front."
We fold our papers into our pockets and go to the hanger. Kristy is silent the whole way, but I can tell what she is thinking. Saying goodbye is going to be hard even though we only knew the 'Bots for a few days. Entering the room, only a few of our friends are present. Ironhide is talking to Optimus and Ratchet, and Bee is standing by himself shifting from foot to foot. Seeing him like that makes me sad, normally he is cheery. I hold back my tears, promising myself not to cry.
Kristy makes her way over to Ironhide while I walk to Bee. He doesn't notice me until I am at his feet, his bright optics focusing on me for a moment. He lowers his hand down and I climb on without hesitation and sit down, resting my arms on my knees and my head on my arms. I don't like crying in front of others, but I can't help it. Tears stain my shirt as I sob uncontrollably. I guess I have grown attached to the 'Bot, something others would find weird because he is a robot.
But having the 'Bots leave isn't the only thing that makes me cry. The fact that my father is still missing tears me apart. What am I going to tell my family? How am I going to tell my family? And the Decepticons... what will we become if they take over? All this rattles through my head until Bee gets my attention by making a few clicking noise.
I lift my head to see him smiling sadly, and as if he knew what I was thinking, he says, "Never let your fear decide your fate."
That makes me smile. "Don't worry," I sniff, wiping the tears off my face, "I wont."
"Kristy? Carmen?" Lennox says. "Time to wrap it up. We have to go."
Hearing that only makes me cry again and I hug Bee's neck. He puts a hand around me comfortingly. Sometimes I just hate my emotions, if I could, I wouldn't cry.
"I'm going to miss you, Bee." I sob. "I'm going to miss all of you guys." I look over at Kristy and Ironhide. My friend is sitting oh Hide's shoulder. I wave sadly at the mech. "I will miss you too, Hide." I say.
Bumblebee sets me on the ground, Ironhide does the same with Kristy. I notice her eyes are puffy, surprisingly. I have never seen her cry before. We run and grab our bags and I hand Kristy a small yellow carry-on. "You might need these." I say. She takes it without question and we meet Lennox outside. Walking by the few 'Bots, I wave at Ratchet, who waves back. I give Optimus a smile, and he does the same.
We load our stuff into the car before climbing in. It is about 5pm, only a few more hours til sundown.
As we pull out onto the road, I set my head on the window and look out at the passing cars. Home, here I come...
Ok! I didn't really know how to end this... Anyway, you guys have another decision to make because I can't. The next chapter can either be the story continued, like a regular chapter. OR it can be a short story focusing on Carmen and one of the 'Bots. I have a few of these shorter chapter written just to show the relationship between her and the Autobots because I feel like I didn't touch too much on that.
Again, sorry for the long wait...

Don't forget to review! I love hearing from you guys. Also, do any of you know what would happen if I reset my account?
I'm off to bed... Good night/day to you all!
