*Raises hands in surrender* So sorry! But if you need to, I give you permission to slap me in the face. It has been way too long since I last posted a chapter... I can't even remember when that was. I have been having some issues with school that has been (and still is) deflating my self confidence like a balloon, which made me not want to post another chapter... But here I am! Last time I said that I was going to do shorts to show you what Carmen's relationships are like with the 'Bots, well, I changed my mind. Those will be after this chapter. This chapter is just to clear up what the heck is going on.

I have to be honest, I missed posting new chapters. :) But I am really not happy with the first couple. I'm not saying I am a pro at writing, but the first couple chapters sound so... beginner? (cant think of proper word). Either way, I want to rewrite them (but that takes so much work *sigh*).

Without further ado, here ladies and gentlemen, is chapter 15! Enjoy!

Something was wrong. First, they untied him from his chair. Then they allowed him to shower and put on a fresh pair of cloths. It made him very suspicious, but only a few short moments ago he understood why Gould gave him some hospitality. Gary now sits on the white couch beside a well groomed Salukis, paying no mind to the chaos outside.

Gary watches the Decepticon ships demolish entire buildings, blow up vehicles, and kill humans with some sort of gun that leaves only their skulls as remains. Not only is it confusing to the man, it is absolutely terrifying. None of it makes any sense. But his daughter is out there somewhere, probably hurt or scared. He shakes the thought from his mind. No, she's smarter than that, probably far from the city where the robots or Gould's men can't find her. Either way, she is out there.

The weight shifts on the other side of the couch, startling Gary out of his daze. A young blond woman now sits on the other side of the dog. She looks frustrated and worried.

"Just stay here." Dylan Gould says to the woman. She merely ignores him and looks out the window. "As for you," he says to Gary. "We have much to talk about." He sits on another white couch across from the others. "Oh, how rude of me. Gary, this is Carly. Carly, this is Gary." he says with a smile.

Gary and Carly don't say a word.

Gould claps his hands to break the silence (not counting the shooting just outside the window). "Well, Carly dear, you know why you are here, so you can just sit tight. As for you,"

Gary glares at Gould (A.N. teehee XD i didn't do that on purpose), his dark brown eyes swarming with hate. "What have you done with my daughter?" he says, almost as a growl.

Folding his hands over his lap calmly, Gould replies, "Me? I didn't do anything. You see, teenagers are open minded, easy to manipulate. Their brains are like sponges just soaking up new information. I did nothing to your daughter, just helped her find her place in this war."

"She doesn't have a 'place' in this war!" The man snaps, still glaring at Gould. Carly nervously shifts on the couch. She doesn't know who this Gary guy is or what he is doing here, but she does know that she isn't the only one who Gould messed with. Maybe I could help out a bit, answer his questions and clear things up.

"She is on the winning team now, the Decepticons. The Autobots are weak, or should I say 'were' weak. They lost when this war began. You can rest easy knowing she will be safe from harm."

"I don't think I can believe that, no matter how much I want to." Gary mumbles. "You still haven't explained what these 'Decepticons' are."

Carly speaks up. "Dylan, let me handle this one."

He smirks, "Go ahead, my duchess."

She sighs, "Don't call me that." and turns to Gary who now watches her carefully, unsure of her place in this situation. "To sum it all up, the Decepticons and Autobots are sentient beings from the planet Cybertron. I'm new to them, but the Decepticons are bad. They want to use us humans to re-build their home planet, so they are space-bridging their planet into our atmosphere."

The man looks to the four glowing pillars outside. Why couldn't Gould have just told him that before? And what does that have to do with his daughter. If he were in any other situation, he would have thought that Carly and Dylan were crazy. But seeing the destruction outside underway, it all makes perfect sense. "Please, continue." He says.

Carly takes a deep breath. "The only problem is that the Autobots, the good guys, are dead." She looks down at her feet for a moment, imagining what Sam's reaction would have been when he saw the Xanthium fall from the sky. Just picturing his saddened face pains her. She continues, "Forced off the planet for our safety, obviously that was a lie. Their ship was shot out of the sky before they could even leave the atmosphere."

Gary lets the knew information sink in. It all explains the destruction outside, but "What does this have to do with Carmen?"

Gould laughs, "You still haven't put it together? Fine. Five years ago your daughter was caught in the war in Mission City. A small sliver of the Cube, a device that creates Cybertronian lifeforms, was embedded into her hand that is now a part of her, gone, dissolved into her blood stream. We kept track of her knowing that one day she will be a vital part in the Decepticon's plan, and now is that time. We just needed to get her on our side which was easy enough."

"Tell me what you did to her." Gary says.

Dylan leans back in his seat and folds his hand behind his head. "It was quite simple really. I got a good looking boy off the street to give her a watch. Pay kids a fair amount of money and they will do anything, and it seems like he got the job done. This watch looks ordinary, but it was programmed to make the wearer think like a Decepticon, influencing them to deceive. Sure its power can be fought, but only the very strong minded can succeed. It is unknown how powerful your daughter is but she will definitely be an advantage in our cause."

The beeping of a phone comes from Gould's pocket. He removes his cellphone and smiles at the screen before slipping it back into its place. "Maybe we will see what she is capable of sooner than I thought."

His smile seemed to grow as the air became full of static. Not regular static that just makes your hair stand on end, but static that has everything you touch zap you no matter how careful you are. Carly looks around the room frantically, seeking a fast escape if needed. The dog has long left the room, but the man beside her keeps his calm, bracing himself for whatever is coming.

Just above the coffee table a ball of red light forms, growing bigger and bigger along with the static in the air until it almost explodes. The coffee table collapses at the sudden weight of a humanoid robot which looks to be female. Its red optics scan the people in the room. Carly clutches a pillow, Gary stares unsure of what he should do, and Gould hasn't moved a muscle.

He stands and welcomes the robot. "Finally! Make yourself at home." he says with a grin.

The robot steps off the broken table, splintering lone pieces of wood under her feet. She heads for the kitchen and rummages through the fridge, throws open drawers, grabbing cookies, milk, and a granola bar.

That's odd. Carly thinks to herself. Why would a cybertronian need food? I thought they depended on energon...

Once it has what it wants, the robot struts back into the crowded room. It doesn't acknowledge neither Carly nor Dylan but keeps its optics trained on Gary as it sits itself down beside Gould. To Carly and Gary's amazement, the robot begins to change. The small features of its face change to skin along with its hands, arms, legs, and cloths appear until all that is left is a young brunette with bright red eyes. She munches on the granola bar while keeping eye contact with Gary.

For a moment he is speechless, confused, unsure of what just happened. "Carmen..?" is all he manages to say.

She finishes off her granola bar. "Hey, Dad. I've been looking for you."

Hopefully that clears some things up for you. Still confused with anything? Don't be afraid to ask, I don't bite ;).

Sorry again for taking so long to update, I probably wont add the next chapter right away though.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter :) Have a wonderful day/night! I'm off to finish those push-ups.

Don't forget to review!
