Hello everybody! How have you all been? Good I hope. :)
Sooo I lied about posting those extra chapters (you know the ones I mean). I decided that they will just appear later on in the story. I just got to a part in this story that I have been waiting for since the very begining so I'm kinda exited :D
Before I start I'm going to reply to your comments. I noticed a couple other authors do it this way so I wanted to give it a try :).
2211Nighthawk: Thank you! It is nice to be writing again even if I don't write as often. Thanks for pointing that out, I would never have noticed if you didn't. :)
KayleeChiara: Thanks :3 I don't mind if you point out things like that to be helpful, so don't be shy ("Also, not to be critical, but helpful, okay?" this just made me think that you weren't sure if I would be mad or not :S). That makes sense... I didn't really think of that when writing the chapter, thanks for pointing it out though! I will fix that a.s.a.p :D. And to be honest, I don't even remember writing anything about the airbags inflating. Is it sad that I don't remember half of what I wrote? :S yikes.
I do not own Transformers!
One more thing before we begin this chap, I don't know exactly how long there were gone from home, it is probably written somewhere... but lets just say that they were gone for 3-4 weeks?
Kristy paces impatiently around her small room, waiting for the cell phone in her hand to stop ringing. It has been two days since she last seen her friend at the airport and she hasn't heard from her since. Many times Kristy has tried to call Carmen's cell phone, but all she got was the answering machine. After a couple more rings Kristy tossed the phone on her bed, sighing in frustration. "It's not like her to not answer her phone, let alone not check her voice-mail." she thought to herself.
Taking a deep breath, Kristy grabs the yellow suitcase that Carmen gave her at the airport and sets it on her bed. She had no need to open it on the plane. "Well, time to find out what she left me with..."
Unzipping the suitcase, she finds that it is surprisingly warm, as it it were alive. The top flips open releasing a bit of cool steam which Kristy fans away from her. A note taped to the inside catches her attention.
Hey, Kristy!
If you are reading this then something bad must have happened, so lets get to the point here. This is no ordinary suitcase (if you haven't already noticed), but it is actually a jet-pack! Cool right? I'm sure you can figure out how to work it. Next, the fat sticks, are bombs. SO BE CAREFUL! I think Que calls them "boom sticks", and they have a 30 second timer so if they activate you better run!
The glove is a "grapple glove", it does what you think it does, put it on and click the button and BAM instant grappling hook.
I know how much you love Harry Potter, so Que being a freaking genius figured out how to create an Invisibility Cloak! It bends light around itself, if you can't find it that is because it is invisible (duh), just look around more, you will find it.
The last one was for me but I figured it should stay with you. You know how I like The Heroes of Olympus, soooo I asked Que if he could make a watch that changes into a shield.
The small sphere is a mini globe, a tracking device that shows you where I am (in case you get lost because you just need me that much ;D), it is synced (a.n. sorry if that is spelled wrong, couldn't find proper spelling) to my cellphone because I carry that thing everywhere.
And last but not least, a classic, lipstick laser! It can cut through almost every material within seconds, so, uh, don't get hit by it.
Hopefully these help you in whatever situation you might be in. Let me know when you get home so I know you are O.K.
From your BFF FOREVAAAAAAAA, Carmen.
P.S. but seriously, be careful.
The note brought a small smile to Kristy's face, so she folded it neatly and placed it in her pocket. She then took out each of the items in the suitcase one by one, examining each. The grapple glove looked like a metal fist with the grapple compacted on top of the fist. It took her a moment to find the invisibility cloak, though the moment she felt the silky material she knew she had found it. It was cool, soft, and very invisible. But if she looked closely she could see a faint shimmer of light around the cloak. The watch was easy to spot, it was shiny bronze, much like the one that Percy Jackson has, but less Greek. She had read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series along with the Heroes of Olympus so she knew how the watch worked if Que made it the same. She clipped it around her wrist and moved onto the lipstick laser, a very ordinary looking item, and then placed it back into the suitcase.
The only thing left in the suitcase was the globe. A dark, almost back metal sphere that fit comfortably in her palm. The Earth's continents were etched into the sphere and a small button was visible on the north pole. She pressed it in, immediately bright green light filled in the continent's outlines flooding the small room with green light. Kristy had to shield her eyes for a moment until the light faded to a small glow. She turned the sphere around until she spotted a blinking yellow light located in the U.S.A, close to where she was just two days ago.
Within seconds Kristy had packed away all the items back into the bright suitcase and sent a couple text messages to Tasha and Alex. Something was up, Carmen wasn't in Canada like she should. She stormed out of her room towards the front door with suitcase in hand, passing her mother in the living room who was watching the news.
"Mom, I'm going out!" she yelled behind her before closing the door, but something stopped her. She poked her head back into the house to see the T.V in which her mom was paying a lot of attention to.
A young blond woman in a navy blue blouse spoke on the screen. "Chaos in Chicago is rocking the nation right now as we speak. Giant alien robots have taken over the city, locking people out and in. None of our news crews have been able to get inside the city to see what exactly is going on, but we have received some mobile footage from someone calling out for help inside the city."
The woman was replaced by a shaken video of a young man about 25 years old, his face smeared with blood and soot, the buildings around him crumbling and the sounds of cannons firing in the background. He looks into the camera "If anyone is getting this, please, you gotta help us. People are dying, getting vaporized by these giant robot things." he says in a shaken voice. "They seem to be guarding a pillar in the-" his eyes widen in fear as the sound of heavy footsteps approach him, shaking the ground. He falls over dropping his phone just as a large robot with one red eye and a cannon for an arm approaches him. He tries to run away when the footage is cut short, returning to the news woman.
"We are unable to show the rest of the video due to disturbing content. More on Chicago will be on after this short break." the tv cut to commercial.
"Mom." Kristy called out. Her mother turned to her. "I'm going out for a bit. I don't know when I will be back."
"Ok, just try to be back before dinner." she replied with a smile.
With that, the redhead shut the door behind her and took off running down the street to her friends' houses. With what she was planning she was gonna need all the help she could get.
Done! Sorry it is so short. In the next chap there will be more of Kristy, Tasha, and Alex.
As a side note, Transformers 4, omfg is anyone else super exited for this movie!? Because I sure am! :D
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed, have a wonderful day/night! And don't be afraid to leave a comment, I love hearing what you have to say :)
