Chapter 11: Surfs Up!

A/N: Hey Guys! Sorry I haven't been active with this story lately. I've written up to the end of the Chunnin Exam's arc just before the invasion arc. I feel bad I'm sorry. Been a tad busy and I wanted to work on some other things. AKA My school work, speaking of which I'm still neglecting school work. WOOPIE! It's been so long I don't even remember how to do the transition between characters… Anyways here is the beginning of the wave arc. ZABUZA MAMOCHI MOTHA FUCKA'S SURFS UP! -Shade

He struggled to move. Where was he? He was having trouble recalling the last events. He struggled and fell over off the bed with a loud BANG!

"Naruto! Are you okay?!" Fu's voice jolted him out of his fogginess. It was 5 am; they were going to need to be at lord Hokage's office in an hour and a half or so.

"Ugh, yeah I'm fine Fu thanks for worrying about me." I must have worried her pretty bad if she called out by my first name. "We just need to get up, we're supposed to get another shitty D mission today."

"Yeah I remember, let's get ready. Even though we're on a mission we can still train. Especially considering it's a low leveled mission." She said dragging herself out of bed. They got ready for their day and walked toward the Hokage monument. Once arriving they opened the door.

"Morning old man."

"Gmorning Hokage-Sama!"

"Good morning you two. Up early I see, you're 25 minutes early. Have a seat I'll give you the rundown of today's mission."

"Kay" Fu said taking a seat on the only chair in the room not occupied before being picked up by Shadow and put on his lap after he sat down.

"My chair Fu" he said sticking his tongue out at her.

"Keep your tongue in your mouth mister. Now Hokage-Sama what's the mission this time?"

"C-Ranked Mission, I know you two in particular can take care of yourselves but Sasuke wasn't ready. Still I feel like this should be a two squad mission. It will be guarding a bridge builder. He's a master bridge builder in the land of waves."

"Alright sounds good." Shadow responded with mild enthusiasm.

-15 minutes later-

"Hi you two" Kakashi said walking in. Sasuke followed Kakashi in and they began the debrief though the couple just looked at each other instead of paying attention since they already knew the nature of this mission. "Can I request the support of team Gai?" Kakashi asked.

"Team Gai is out on another mission. Slightly higher, B ranked mission. We will be putting Team Kuranai as a secondary."

"Fine." Kakashi says mildly hiding his obvious disappointment.

"Bring in Tazuna." The Sandaime Hokage said. An old man walked in.

"These are my protectors? Ah shit well lets be goin."

"We'll meet you at the front gate Tazuna, excluding me; I'll escort you there as I'm already packed." Kakashi told him. "Sasuke get packed. You too Fu & Shadow"

"we're all packed…" The couple rolled their eyes

"I'm packed too; we'll just wait for Kurani's team."

"Fine then to the gate." They all casually walked to gate. Once they arrived they waited for roughly 5 minutes before the other team showed up.

"Let's get moving" Shadow said impatiently. He was pissed he had to work with Sakura AND Kiba. Their third member, Tenten wasn't as bad. Mildly pretty he thought. He shook his head. I can't be thinking about other girl's while I'm dating Fu. They casually walked their path until he took notice of a water pool when it was as dry as a desert out. So we're being followed. It may be Nin to Nin or they could be attacking the bridge builder. Guess we'll find out. He nudged Fu gently tilting his head ever so slightly so she understood what he was referring too. She nodded and pretended she didn't see it. They continued onward until the sound of frantic yet meaningful running could be heard. "Kakashi."

"Wha-" he said getting sliced in two little bits.

"Tch. Sasuke and team Kuranai Manji formation around Tazuna, Sasuke get in front. Kuranai you should probably find Kakashi or an opening to attack." They quickly followed his instructions he looked back quickly to check before watching his attackers. His eyes spun red. "Fu left." Fu jumped towards the left one and attacked with a poison tinted kunai. She wasn't out matched but she wasn't gaining any advantage. He closed his eyes for a split second before concentrating on his opponent opening his eyes. "It's over, mystery Nin."

"Not really," was all the nin from the rain village said before running and slashing through Shadow before he transformed into a bunch of little dragon flies.

"You'll wake up in three days' time but only moment will have past. You'll die from the headache." Shadow said without emotion before turning away.

"AHHHH!" The nin screamed grabbing his skull.

"What is it brother?" He shouted his eye sight changing from Fu to his team mate sprawled on the floor. That was the end. His eyes flickered back to Fu only to see a kunai dig right into them.

"Fu that was overboard" Kakashi said coming out of the bushes. "You too shadow you didn't have to make him go insane."

"I didn't he just has a large head ache."

"Fine but what information can we get from them in this state."

"The fact that they're nin from the hidden rain village as well as that they're brothers. Other than that nothing. Alright guys formation is good." Shadow said letting everyone break. The other team started panting.

"Shadow don't show off so much." Sasuke said resentful

"Not trying to I'm trying to save our lives. Let's rest."

-6 hours later-

"They're the demon brothers. Of relentless attack, there's poison in their claws. Anyways, Fu did you get scratched?"

"No almost but not quite."

"Good." Shadow said getting up "let's get a move on."

"Hey I make the decisions." Kakashi said stubbornly. "Though he's right we should move on." The group trudged on into the late evening before they set up camp. They rested without much talk Sasuke being the most energized was on guard of Tazuna. The following day they continued onward. Hmmm I can't say what level those opponents were but if I had to guess they were no higher than Chunnin. Shadow thought with a grimace. They reached the water and were allowed aboard a boat which rowed them inward. They saw the bridge on their way in. Nice and large just the easiest way for someone to die, nice job. Once they reached shore they started towards Tazuna's house. The mist that surrounded the land of waves naturally began to thicken. Kakashi pulled his head band up to reveal his Sharigan; Sasuke activated his one tomoe Sharigan and Shadow Activated his three tomoe. "Manji formation everyone but Sasuke and Shadow, no time for questions." As he finished speaking a huge sword flew over their heads which missed Tazuna's head only because Tenten pulled his head down.

"Kakashi of the Sharigan eye, what a pleasure." A gruff voice said.

"Who are you and how do you know my name." Kakashi said.

"Ah that's right you can't see me." The voice jumped from the bushes and landed on his sword. "I am,"

"Zabuza Mamochi" Kakashi and Zabuza said together.

A/N: So anti-climactic. The twin demon brothers don't stand a chance against Sasuke in anime which is how he is now. Maybe now he's a tad stronger, that's why it was a breeze for both of them. And Yes Fu was just messing around with the other brother. Honestly it's hard for me to write a two prospective fight. That will come with time I s'pose. Other than that I thought this chapter was a tad short. Especially considering I ditched you guys for almost a month. I will have more up shortly I just wanted to do this when I felt motivated so it was as good as it could be. Also I'm trying hard not to have any Separate couplings related to Shadow/Naruto right now in this story. I may write some other stories cause there are three other girls I can see Naruto with: Tenten, Temari, and Ino. Ino just cause I dunno.
