Greetings, gentlemen and ladies. Domi came back after such a long time, but there were reasons for his absence, very good reasons... um... I, uh... Let's not talk about me, but rather talk about me (in terms of creativity). You may not be familiar with me, but some time ago I posted a translation of this fic. However, looking at it now makes me a little ashamed, but I'm not going to fix it. No, I will make a new translation because there was a good reason: I finished this fic, hooray! Now the work has taken a more or less complete form, which I will not change. Enjoy reading.

The wasteland, scarlet with blood, was littered with the remains of various creatures: the commissar's torn body, a banshee with a torn spine, a tyranid with a fractured skull, an orcoid without a lower jaw. It was a glorious battle. Long, cruel, and most importantly senseless. Yes, it is meaningless, but that's what makes sense! Every warrior here had his own goal, from the banal desire to survive to simple entertainment. But what was the use of it now, if everyone here is dead? The cold, indifferent and hypocritical universe simply did not pay attention to it, and it was perceived as the normal state of things. Only the material world, rotten through and through, adheres to this position. But there was something else here. Something alien to this reality. Immaterium.

It didn't not care. Only a naive weakling will hope to find leniency or mercy there. No, the reality is much darker. He was seething, he was rejoicing, he was living a senseless slaughter! But most importantly, he reacted to every life taken away! There, behind the veil of the mind of weak and squalid, is the Copper Fortress, the abode of Khorne, the god of war. He bathed in the blood of the dead, collected their skulls for his throne and devoured their souls with infernal flames. The present moment was important to him, and he didn't care what would remain after. He even threw his loyal servants to the slaughter (although those, being the same bloodthirsty demons, simply returned to their native Warp). As long as the flow of cut-off lives would not run out. And it will never run out. For in the darkness of the distant future, there is only war.

Meanwhile, someone was crawling out from under the mountain of corpses. It was one of Khorne's mortal followers. A terrible berserker from the World Eaters. Covered with blood that had not yet congealed, it was as if he had been born again. This could not but cause a mad smile under his horned helmet, which made him look like an unknown predatory beast. But who knows how much of a person is left in him after so many years of service to Destructive Forces? When he got out, he climbed another, large mountain of bodies. When he reached the top, the warrior let out a roar that could sow fear in the hearts of anyone.

"I, Eli Various of the Legion of World Eaters, offer this sacrifice to you, O Great Lord Khorne!" Every word radiated anticipation and a certain childishness. — "I spilled a river of blood especially for you! I have collected thousands of skulls today for your throne! I have killed the followers of false and weak gods to show that only you are strong! Grant me it, grant me strength!" — an unstoppable Warp vortex was blazing in the sky. Either a crimson or purple stream rushed to the Chaos astartes, and he just spread his arms to the side, waiting for a miracle.

But it was different, not the one that chaosith was waiting for. The immaterial hand simply absorbed all the blood and took the skulls of the defeated enemies. From the loss of part of the "foundation", the "temple of war" collapsed under the weight of the giant. Eli screamed in surprise before shamefully falling and rolling head over heels along with an avalanche of bodies. Someone would surely laugh at such a comical scene if the only living being was not the "actor of the theater of the absurd" himself. He had to dig himself out a second time to see how the warp storm began to subside and the Materium was repairing its wounds. The dark god was pleased with the harvest and felt that he could not get more from this world.

The Astartes decided to test himself. Taking a huge sawaxe, he turned to a distant rock that was four times larger than himself.

"Appropriate".

Within a few seconds, he covered a distance of five hundred meters, jumped seven and brought down his cursed weapon on the stone. Such power broke the boulder and its split half was scattered all over the area. It was strength. The old strength that he had before this battle throughout all eighty years of service to Khorne. Khornith hoped that thanks to the new gift he would be able, if not to create a crater, then at least to level the stone with the ground. But to his disappointment, he did not change in any way.

"That's... unfair…"

Eli was furious. No, it's not true, because rage is an uncontrollable, indomitable feeling, the one that Khorne instills in his followers. No, Eli was angry. Anger could be directed at his opponent. And he became an opponent of the god of war himself. No, he was certainly not angry at him because of an awkward, ridiculous fall from the top of a mountain of corpses. He was angry because of the broken oath.

"IT'S NOT FAIR!" — The disgruntled astartes shouted loudly. "You're a liar! I've been fighting for your glory for eight decades, giving you my best trophies without any encouragement! I wasn't hoping for the title of demon prince, I just wanted you to give me the opportunity to get better! It was the only thing that was required of you. But you didn't fulfill your vow. I swore to live an eternal war, and you swore to give me strength, but then you just ignored me!" — the man clad in red armor, having already begun to growl, raised his weapon and pointed it towards the closing warp storm. "But know this — I did not throw off the yoke of the Corpse-on-the-throne slave in order to put on the chains of another coward who sits on the sidelines while others fight for his amusement! I've had enough! From now on, you are no longer God to me! Now I will become the god of war myself!"

Such an audacious plan has been maturing in Eli's mortal soul for a long time, he just hid it under tons of combat madness, killing weaklings and the hope of obtaining true strength. That was why, in the middle of the battle, he pounced on the chaos sorcerer who was responsible for the gap in space. By doing this, he wanted to show that he understood the essence of Khorne's teachings. The strongest survives, and he has the right to take everything that used to belong to the unworthy. Now Eli realized that the false god of war was not the strongest. He's just an unworthy coward hiding behind the backs of even smaller cowards. The Chaos Astartes, realizing this, decided to stop hypocrisy and do as he should. Climbing onto the largest fragment of the block, he raised his fist into the sky and shouted:

BLOOD TO THE BLOODY ME!

SKULLS FOR MY THRONE!

LET THE IMMATERIUM BURN!

Meanwhile, in the Warp, Khorne reveled in the small by the standards of the Galaxy, but still the slaughter of millions of intelligent and not so much. Nothing could spoil such a delicious delicacy. But all of a sudden, a squeaky thought reached him: "bloodtothebloodymeskullsformythronelettheimmateriumburn". The thought came from such an insignificant mortal that the god of war simply did not pay attention to that. And the thought itself was so pathetic and quiet that the Lord of Murders would have simply ignored it... if this muck hadn't ruined his perfect dish.

Khorne was not distinguished by a calm disposition and therefore screamed in rage, which caused the demons at his feet to stop fighting for a couple of moments, wondering what their master was so dissatisfied with on this time. "Did he really get a romantic letter from Slaanesh again?". The God of War has found the exact source of the disturbances.

The crack in reality was already closing, but he managed to finally pick up the overly daring warrior and brought him to his face. In response, the man did not even bend under the greatness of the very embodiment of endless slaughter, and only managed to utter in his thoughts: "It's a pity that I'm wearing this helmet, otherwise I could spit in your red muzzle." But he could only scream out loud when the dark god pressed on him as if a mortal was caught between two colliding planets. But Khorne wasn't going to give him a quick death and an eternal battle. He came up with an unexpectedly sophisticated punishment, so that not a single bone of a mortal, not a single reminder of him would offend the greatness of his throne.

Khorne brought him to a strange hole in the Warp. None of the inhabitants of the Immaterium knew where exactly this passage led. But for some reason, everyone just shunned it. Even Tzeentch wasn't interested in him. Everyone assumed that nothing good would be waiting there. Well, this supposed "nothing good" will be a good punishment for an arrogant little man. And even if he doesn't suffer there, it doesn't matter. The main thing is away from here. Relaxing his arm and letting the unconscious henchman fly, Khorne went on his next "important divine affairs".

END OF THE PROLOGUE

"O-o-oh…"

Eli groaned, letting out the last of the air from his improved lungs for a long time. He felt literally squeezed out like a lemon. Unable to move, the superhuman continued to lie on the ground with his eyes half-closed. It was more because of the desire to catch my breath after the experience, and not from the wounds, which, oddly enough, were not so serious. Chaosith was in blissful oblivion and did not count how much time he spent like that. But he remembered that upon arrival, the local luminary was just rising, and now it was already aspire to sit down. The former Khornith decided that he had rested more than enough and slowly he began to rise, looking around.

"Trees, grass, bushes. It's a forest. I'm in the middle of a small clearing surrounded on all sides by trees. Well, the perfect place for an ambush".

Mentally, Eli chastised himself for his carelessness and slapped himself in the face. Just think — to lie on the edge of some unfamiliar forest, like some last stoned slaaneshit.

"But, on the other hand, it's logical. I renounced Khorne and survived at the same time... probably… And others may already be interested in me. This could attract their attention. But I don't see any tempting demons or anything.… A difficult situation. And what do I even understand about the Warp? Okay, it doesn't matter. We need to think about survival for now, and not about high matters. So, wait a second, where's my helmet?"

Looking carefully at his feet, Eli noticed that there was a hollow in the ground in the shape of his body.

"Soft earth. Very bad. My footprints may remain on it".

Continuing his search, the Chaosit finally found his helmet at the opposite end of the clearing. Approaching him and bending down, he noticed movement in the nearby bushes.

"Calm air, then..."

*WHOOSH*

Faster than the wind, Eli lunged at the bushes and stretched out his hand there to grab the source of anxiety. He gripped something soft and fluffy tightly. Chaosit slowly began to lift the thing and saw two long, fluffy, brown-gray ears. After a couple of seconds, there was a small animal at eye level. The locals called this creature a "wild rabbit", but the astartes did not know this. At the sight of this piece of meat, the Space Marine's stomach did not just rumble, but began to growl naturally.

"It doesn't look like this thing is poisonous. But even so, my implants will help make anything edible. It could be fried to increase the nutritional value, but the fire will attract unwanted attention, so..."

Eli opened his mouth wide and placed the twitching animal there. All attempts of the small one to escape from the terrible fate of the victim of the superpredator failed when the Khornith closed its teeth, biting off a third of the body. After waiting half a minute for the meat analysis to finish, Eli grunted satisfactorily. He continued his meal, thinking.

"Wow, that's not bad. A lot of protein for a small volume, practically no toxins. Hmm, interesting… Apparently I found myself either in a nature reserve, or in the private garden of an aristocrat, or just in an agrarian world where people didn't have time to spoil everything".

After three more bites, the astartes licked his bloody lips.

"It was probably the most enjoyable meal in the last ten years for sure. Yes, definitely better than corpse bars, bio-paste from don't-understand-what, or the throat of my former ringleader. Although I'm unlikely to eat full just one individual. I hope there was his nest nearby with pffspr-... Damn, someone is nearby."

The super sense prompted the space marine to turn around one hundred and eighty degrees in order to see ... the girl. Although it was more of a mutant individual: the arms and legs were covered with gray-blue fur, there were claws on the ends of the fingers, shaggy ears on the head, a tail that turned left and right and shining yellow eyes. And no matter how strange it might sound, but the mutant was… Aesthetic. All these non-human parts harmoniously combined, creating an exotic beauty. The clothes were somewhat poorer: just plain rags that almost did not cover the "intimate places", as mortals call it, and something like an iron collar with pendants.

"Frag, if only it wasn't the Slaaneshith world."

Eli even unexpectedly felt that he wanted to look away. But with a little effort, he gathered his will into a fist and continued to examine the stranger. The woman herself just looked at him with a mixture of excitement and curiosity. Then she decided to give a voice, which turned out to be even quite gentle:

"Hi, big guy," — she waved her hand nervously, and then crossed it with the other.

"Hmm, it's intelligent. If she had attacked me right away, it would have been easier… She? Hmm, strange. I usually don't pay attention to this..."

"You're silent, aren't you? Um, you're unusual and you smell weird. But that doesn't mean I don't like you, no! You have a beautiful face! And the armor, too — beautiful, very!"

"Beautiful?! They should inspire fear!.. It seems that I am gradually becoming a slaaneshith..."

"Yes… I saw you eat that rabbit. I wanted to catch him myself, but you seem to be very hungry since you ate him whole and raw at the same time... go witjh me, and I can give you a lot of food! I will bring you my loot every day if you…

"Yes, you will fit," — Eli wiped the remaining blood from his face. Despite the fact that the space marine put a very creepy meaning into the words, the mutant was not afraid, but only began to stamp on the spot and blush, looking away. She seems to have misunderstood him somewhat.

"Wh-Wh-WHAT?! J-just like that? Oh, mommies. My sister said that I would have to use force, well, since you yourself…"

"Shut up and get ready," — the wolf did not even notice how chaosith picked up his helmet and put it on his head. Large green eyepieces lit up with an infernal red light, and an unintelligible roar of a voice distorted by a broken vox came out of a respirator imitating a fanged mouth. To Eli's surprise, the mutant did not flinch and looked at him blankly.

"Shouldn't we, on the contrary, undress?"

"... The universe will definitely be better off without her."

Pulling out the sawaxe, the superhuman started it. A roar so pleasant to his ear spread throughout the neighborhood, drowning out all the frightened birds and animals.

"Well, it's louder than I thought, but in any case, I still need to start collecting. And even if her skull is empty, it's still a skull..."

"... Listen, in your land it's customary to vэgetting mar-... — the girl did not have time to finish, as the air was filled with a war cry distorted by interference:

BLOOD TO THE BLOODY ME!

The red spot rushed to the wolfman so quickly that she did not even have time to react. The last thing she saw was a loud axe-shaped buzzer descending on her head.

"It would be more practical to question her about the state of affairs on the planet, but it was worth thinking about earlier. Somehow stupidly immediately rushes at an unfamiliar creature. What if it's stronger than it looks? Then she could become my slave or even a full-fledged member of the warp band. We could fight side by side, collect skulls… Wait, what?! Why do I even need a beautiful companion who can become a wife? So for a second, I thought that she could become my wife? This… Acceptable… Although no, what's wrong with my head?! But in any case, I have already shouted, so let the blades do their work..."

*BE-e-e-ep*

Suddenly, the deadly mechanism stopped, and instead of the rattle of the chain, a long sound of a squeaking pet toy was released. The head of the weapon even flattened like a toy hammer. The girl, who had closed her eyes, twitched her ear and opened her eye to look at the masked face of the space marine. If there was no helmet, the wolfman saw that the Astartes was no less confused than she was.

"KGH-KA-WH-WAT?!"

Eli slowly raised the sawaxe, which caused it to make a similar sound again, restoring its shape. It had a strange effect on the wolfgirl. She wagged her tail more actively, stuck out her tongue and began to breathe heavily. Inside the astartes, a mixture of conflicting emotions bubbled up from this sight, from disgust to "the desire to scratch her behind the ear." But instead, Eli struck with his weapon once more…

*BEEP*

And more…

The result did not change in any way, only the wolf seemed to become even more excited. It was absolutely not what chaosith wanted, and this picture only made him growl from ... misunderstanding, impotence and fruitless rage.

"No, I'm not a weakling! I am strong and I control my own destiny! If my axe is broken, then I will have to act the old-fashioned way. I'LL TEAR OFF HER STUPID HEAD WITH MY BARE HANDS ALONG WITH HER FUCKING SPINE!"

"R-R-RAAA!" — vox growled furiously, and Eli threw his trusty weapon at a tree, which was almost cut in half by this. With one hand, he grabbed the girl by the shoulder, from which she moaned, but for completely different reasons. The other one took his head and wanted to tear it off... but... Eli realized that he had taken his cheek. More precisely, he only ordered the hand to tear off the head, while the hand itself gently stroked the soft, rosy cheek.

"Kg-gh-hhh-...?!"

Even the superhuman's quick mind didn't understand what was going on. The woman gently took a huge keramit hand and hugged her, closing her eyes.

"Oh, dear, you treat me so tenderly, just like a real count with his countess, mf-❤," — the wolfman bent his thumb without any resistance and stuck it behind her cheek, allowing the finger to return to its original position. "You swee, homney, homw much my moumth wilml be stretchemd. I'm surme he'lml be amble to rafmt it wimder, ha-ah❤️".

While the yellow eyes languidly devoured the soul of the chaosith, a real warp storm began in Eli's mind, and the body betrayed the "master of its fate". The shoulders of the former Khornith were twitching furiously, the lungs did not want to pump oxygen, and something strange felt just below the waist. His eyes began to fill with sweat, caused by being on the verge of a nervous breakdown. And the lips began to form sounds:

"YYe-e-ss" — It seemed that the astartes was fighting with something for the right to speak, which would determine his future fate.

"Do yomu amgree to marrmy me?-❤️"

"Yseee-sys-eee…"

"Yes?" — the wolf woman released her finger and raised herself as high as possible to the face of her future betrothed. And since Eli was bent over, struggling with himself, she almost got…

"NOOOO!" — with the last of his strength, the astartes performed a feat and threw the girl away from him. "Don't come near me, bitch!"

"Ow!" — she fell to the ground, painfully hitting a soft spot. She looked at the giant, puzzled. "What are you doing? What for?"

"Get lost, you dirty mutt! I don't need you," — the Space Marine wheezed through his helmet, breathing heavily. These rude words brought tears to the girl's eyes.

"What?! No, no, you can't do that! You put your finger in my mouth".

Eli was amazed to himself, but the words even stuck in his throat from the delirium that was happening.

"... which means you want me, but you won't admit it! Eh, so I'll have to show you the power to make you understand everything".

"Power? Ha! Yes, you won't even move me from my place to an atom-a-a-a!" — Eli screamed, sent flying into the nearest oak tree. Unfortunately for him, the mutant really turned out to be stronger than she looked. But unfortunately for the werewolf, her feeble push, which could only bring down a puny teenager, sent a huge creature, a living weapon created for war, flying a good dozen meters.

"WHAT THE FRAG?!" — that's all the astartes managed to think before flying to the trunk of the tree.

"D-DEAR!" — the girl, still dumbfounded, ran to help the man, but stopped a few steps away from him. Despite the fact that the blow was able to pull out the oak tree almost by the roots, Eli's reinforced body was practically not injured and he was able to quickly get up before assistance was provided. "Oh, I'm so glad you're okay! I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I won't do it again, honestly!" — the wolf was already on the verge of hysteria and moisture was oozing from her moist eyes.

"Yana, were you making noise? Oh Mother Nature, what's wrong with you?" — a woman's head with the same ears poked out of the bushes. After that, other girls similar to the "bride" appeared.

"Sveta? Mom? Girls, what are you doing here?"

"We heard a very nasty sound, which changed to very funny and exciting," — the tallest of the pack answered for everyone. "And now I heard you yelling at someone, Yana. What's happening?"

The girl hesitated and sobbed softly. She pointed with her hand at a giant clad in unusual red armor. The women began to exchange glances and come closer to get a better look at the stranger on their territory.

"I... I offered to marry him, but he, whimper... offended me... sob…"

"What?! How?" — it was heard from the surprised pack. And then the "dam broke"— Yana fell to her knees and a river of tears poured out of her eyes.

"He just wanted to abuse me! He touched me in indecent places, and even put his hand up to his wrist in his mouth! And then he called me a mutt and a dirty bitch, and told me to get out and he didn't need me anymore. He doesn't like me, wua-a-ah-h…"

"She has less conscience than the Tzinchith sorcerer!"

"The scoundrel!"

"How could you?!"

"Why are werewolves always unlucky for men?!"

"Calm down, daughter," — the leader hugged her child and stroked her head. "Don't cry, everything will be fine. Tell me, do you still need he?"

The girl just quietly "ugu".

"Okay, then," she smiled predatory and raised her hand, then barked loudly. "Does the pack want to play?"

The she-wolves accepted the challenge and began to fake bark at the chaosith, jumping on the spot.

"Hey, Mom, can Janochka share with me if I catch him first?" — the second-largest mutant got on all fours. "I don't know why, but I like taste this guy, huh"

"Yana, do you mind if Sveta takes a "piece of loot" for herself?"

"Omkay, snob…"

While the strange predators were distracted by talking and warming up, Eli's brains were working hard.

"Apparently, this "Yana" is not the strongest among them yet. Why, by Warp, throw a sawaxe was? So at least I could distract them. As it is, I have practically no choice..."

He could do the honorable thing and rush into the last battle and try to kill as many enemies as possible. This is what a real warrior of Khorne would do: ingloriously perish in battle and devalue all previous exploits. No, Eli was no longer a blind fool, he would act as honestly and heroically as possible.

"Tactical retreat".

A second before Sveta jumped on him, the astartes took a step to the side, which caused her to fly face-first into the fallen trunk. Then the chaosith ran backwards from her for a couple of meters, and turned around and rushed to new exploits.

"Well, hare, wait!" — and the whole pack, led by Sveta, took off after him. The chase promised to be very interesting.

Well, the first shell went. You know, many rolls may be incomprehensible to you, such as the reference to "Soviet Tom and Jerry" at the end (Nu Pogodi is somewhat different, but we will not go into details, this is not the main thing), but alas, a different culture. I would like to chew them for such good people like you who spend their time on me, but due to the fact that Fanfiction is objectively more inconvenient than Knigi Fanfikov and has fewer tools (although it has a bunch of fake services and advertising), I will have to sacrifice inserts so as not to confuse the course of the narrative.
