Two of the Chipmunks have fallen ill and its deprived Eleanor of any enjoyment. she is able to convince her remaining sister to come with her on an hike, though this hike proves more dangerous than fun and its up to the two remaining chipmunks to fix this!

Chapter 1

It was a strange afternoon, Jeanette and Eleanor were walking home from school, the others couldn't be there as both Brittany and Theodore had both caught a cold and Simon took the liberty to watch over them and Alvin faked being sick so he could stay home. Dave couldn't drive the two home as he was working late, So Jeanette and Eleanor were on their own.

"I'm so bored!" said Eleanor.

"I know sis just a little longer we're nearly home." Her sister replied

"what're we gonna do there? Chores while Alvin lays around fake coughing?!" Eleanor retorted, Jeanette didn't reply as to not agitate her sister any further.

"Sorry… It's just so frustrating not being able to do anything, Even Alvin's not doing anything which is unlike him." said Eleanor

"He's just playing the part," said Jeanette.

"including the part where he can't make his own food and I have to do it!" Her sister retorted, "Sigh, I just need something to do… it's been so boring without the others tha-" Eleanor stopped, "Hey that could be fun!" Jeanette looked to see what her sister was talking about.

Eleanor was pointing at the Angeles National Forest. "Are you suggesting we go to the Forest?" Jeanette asked nervously.

"Yes!" Eleanor said

"No no no not happening! Too many natural predators!" Jeanette said.

"C'mon we've had nothing to do for days! It's been wake up, go to school, do work, go home, tend to the sick. Watch an hour of TV and sleep for four long days! I'm tired of it!"

Eleanor said. But Jeanette remained firm

"it's still a no." Eleanor looked frustrated

"Fine! You can go home but I'm going in!" Jeanette didn't want to go into a place so dangerous for a chipmunk but she knew Eleanor had a higher chance of getting eaten going in alone.

"Wait!" cried Jeanette "You can't go in alone! It's too dangerous!"

Jeanette said "if you come with me i won't be alone" Eleanor said still walking to the forest. Jeanette hesitated before running after her sister

"Fine! But let's call home first so they know where we are."

"Fine by me."
