Max was sitting down crying dressed in blue jeans, white shoes, black shirt, Red jacket, his horn visor thing discarded. He was sat alone, fifteen on prom night alone, why, "I wanted to go with Zoe, but someone asked her before me, she even said sorry to late... I waited to long to tell her how I felt, why did I have to be so awkward, She want to kiss me as kids, I should have manned up, shoved my nervousness down and kissed her." he said hands in face.

Aki then heard this and said, "your father was the same way, Max, However he Won, because unlike the guy I dated before he was there for me. I was in a bad spot I forgot my drivers license at a check point, so I was arrested, My boyfriend ignored my call for a foot ball game, Spike how ever was his room mate and saw the answering machine message I left. he came down with my drivers license, you see I forgot it leaving their place. I was shocked, I didn't want to believe him but he made a bet, we would go in he won't know about it and if so I would go out with him if not he would stop asking. Well you can guess what happened. the boy looked at her, he was going to say something but before he could his phone rang it was Zoe and he ran off. he headed to answer it. "Zoe?" he heard crying, "Max help!" he ended up at the prom or behind it, Zoe's phone was long knocked out of his hand by time he got there, Zoe had fallen trying to run in heels will do that. her ankle sprained. her nameless as it doesn't matter date grabbed her by the chest making her eyes widen and cry as she tried to push him off, How ever Max showed up throwing him off her.

Max stood fists out as the guy in a suit bigger then him got up he throw his phone to Zoe, "Call for help I will hold him off." Zoe called, and before long the prom was ruined by the sounds of police sirens.

Our boy hero had his arm in a sling bandage on his nose and black eye, trying to fight someone bigger and stronger then you would do that. he was black and blue, but Zoe with her leg wrapped up, in a ripped ruined pretty yellow flowing prom dress cuddled his arm crying, his good arm which she held. She said, "I should have gone with you...I should have wait more till you where ready..." She cried. Max nuzzled her, "No I should have been quicker."

the date was being taken away for attempted date rape, What a ruinned prom. Max looked at him, "you only wanted her for her body, You make me sick." he said getting up Zoe leaning on him to get her to her parent's care. The parents hugging him calling him "a little hero."

the next day Zoe had a case on her leg on crotches in Max's living room, talking about it, "thanks max." Max who had his arm in a caste andsling held her hand, "It's nothing Zoe, sorry your prom night was ruined."

the pink haired girl who had her normal outfit on said, "yeah...At least yours was better you choice to blow it off if you couldn't be with the right person. I just went with the first person who asked me. I feel like an idiot."

Max held her hand, "relax Zoe, We all make mistakes, My biggest mistake was being such a neverous wreck I passed on the kiss you wanted to give me all that time ago." She then gave him a kiss making him blush as she held his shoulder resting her head on his. "yeah...I moved to fast, you moved too slow...think we have finally met in the middle?" he nodded. Aki watched this and turned on classic music on the radio. The two then slow danced the best they could. She smiled.

ten years from now this scene would fade to them in adults Max in a suit and tie, zoe in a white dress rings on their hands as they cheered. Sometimes true love has to wait, till you both meet right, Sometimes it's easy, Sometimes it needs a test of fate. Now this wasn't a rescue romance, both had feelings for the other long before that, This just showed Zoe Max was the kind of man she hoped, and Max proved unlike the nameless jerk who blow a great chance, he cared about her truly. Sometimes other people get in the way of the ones you need. If it's meant to be, a chance will come up just take the chance when it comes.

and they lived happily ever after.
