Sitting in her bedroom finishing a hasty tidy-up, Chie couldn't help but feel a little nervous and confused by the text her long-time friend had sent her she flipped out her phone once more rereading the words.

We should talk

The light brown haired girl closed her phone once more tossing it onto her bed as she laid back for a moment, just what did it mean? She closed her eyes briefly as she thought back on the crazy month that took place, making friends with the mysterious transfer student, murders taking place in her usually quiet hometown of Inaba.

Yet none of these could compare to the discovery of a new world, the location somewhere she had never imagined…Inside a TV.

The black haired girl continued the walk from her family's hot springs inn dodging the obvious stares from people as she passed by, Yukiko's recent disappearance and reappearance had been the talk of the town despite it being a month since she had been having dreams about her time in the TV world.

She had avoided talking about these dreams but they had continued more frequently the past few nights and it was time to fully face them, she stood in front of the home of her long-time friend as she took a deep breath before ringing the doorbell hearing the sounds of footsteps coming to the door.

"Yes?" the light brown haired girl asked as she opened the door before blinking seeing her black haired friend "Oh, hey I was starting to think you'd changed your mind. Well come on in, my parents are at work so we have the place to ourselves". The black haired girl smiled brightly as Chie stood to one side allowing her to enter, as the other girl closed the door she slipped off her black shoes placing them neatly by the door.

"So, what was it you wanted to talk about?" Chie asked not one to waste time as usual as Yukiko had always admired that straight forwardness of her friend she nodded walking through the hallway.

"Before that, it's been so long lets hang out in your room" the black haired girl said with a smile "I bet it's really messy". She couldn't help but giggle at the look on the other girl's face as she huffed placing her hands on her hips, without a word she walked past the other heading upstairs as Yukiko followed.

"See, not a mess so you better take it back" Chie said standing in her recently tided room her arms folded staring at the black haired girl feeling a little offended by her previous assumption, not saying anything Yukiko began to pace the room checking for herself before she stopped nodding as she looked at her friend with a smile.

"I apologize, you have clearly worked hard to tidy up" Yukiko said nodding as Chie continued to stare before giving a small laugh as she watched her friends much more playful nature "That reminds me, do you have any snacks for me? I am your guest after all and a drink please". Chie stared for a moment before sighing as she left the room to fetch drinks and snacks, Yukiko smiled as she sat on the floor crossing her legs as she looked around.

Despite the amount of times she had visited she couldn't help the nervous butterflies beginning to flutter about in her stomach she took a deep breath letting it out slowly trying to calm her nerves as the other girl re-entered the room placing a tray of green tea and rice crackers on the table between them as she sat down opposite her friend.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Chie asked as she took a bite of a rice cracker, her brown eyes locked on the black haired girl across from her that strangely intense stare made the butterflies in Yukiko's stomach go into a frenzy as the black haired girl reached over taking a sip of her drink attempting to drown her nervousness.

"Well, I wanted to" she began as she paused for a moment almost trying to work out what it truly was she wanted to say, taking another sip of her drink she spoke once more "I want to talk about that world, about what happened in that place". The brown haired girl felt confusion begin to cloud her mind as she tried to work out what the girl was talking about, after a moment of confusion a memory flashed into her mind as she saw the beautiful figure of her friend dressed as a princess.

She could feel her face going red as realization set in, the black haired girl looked down her cheeks a little pinker as she too seemed embarrassed by the memory of what happened in that world.

The awkward silence between the two continued for what felt like hours, the only sounds filling the room was the crunch of the rice crackers and the occasional gulp of them drinking their tea before Yukiko finally found her voice once more.

"My other self…My shadow was a princess correct? She was saying she wanted to be saved" she paused as Chie looked on saying nothing "No, that's not right. It was me, I was saying I wanted to be saved. Saved from the pressure of the inn, the feeling of not being able to decide my own future, not having a choice in my own life".

"Yukiko" Chie started hesitating as she tried to find the words to say, she too had faced herself, her shadow in that world her deep feelings she had tried to ignore "It's OK to feel that way but I'm sure you still have time right? It's not fully decided yet, the future can always change or at least that's what I believe". The black haired girl looked up for a moment with a smile at her friend, of course she knew she was right, after facing herself in that world she knew that the future could be changed she had the power to change it now and she was going to.

"There's more though isn't there" Yukiko continued as Chie tilted her head to one side as she thought for a second before her face burned hot before she could stop her friend saying more the words had already left her mouth "I called you my prince Chie, you where the one I wanted to save me". The black haired girl turned her dark brown on the other girl, her own stare a little intense now as she took in the other girls features the butterflies once again fluttering around making her feel slightly nauseous but she fought it back.

Chie stayed still not sure what to say in response as the memoires flooded back, it had been the first time she had ever heard her friends true feelings but she had always wondered why her? What made her so special to be called a prince?

To be relied on so much had always been her dream but never had she expected it to happen, she snapped out of her thoughts as a look of shock crossed her eyes not noticing that Yukiko had closed the distance between them, the other girl was so close she could smell her perfume, could see her beautiful features up close.

"I…I want to at least decide my own future" Yukiko said as she moved closer, she wasn't sure what had come over her but she could almost feel this was the right thing to do "With my prince by my side". Before Chie could respond she felt the softness of the other girl's lips pressed against her own, the taste of strawberry lip balm as her body began to relax feeling herself return the kiss for a few moments before it was broken as the two looked deep into each other's eyes.

"Then allow me to be there" Chie responded without needing to think as she moved to close the distance once more "My princess". Closing the distance, the two embraced once more the nervousness disappearing with each passing minute as the two enjoyed each other's company and the taste of their kiss.

Well this is my first attempt at a persona 4 story mainly because I was late to the party and only recently beat Persona 4 golden but got a pretty crappy ending so working on it again to get the true ending

Anyway this is literally because I was surprised to not see a Yukiko X Chie story given the events at her show I guess I'll call it, if you liked this and would be interested in seeing another pairing for either these two or the other characters let me know I'm sure I can put something together
