It was a few hours later, and the results of the tests revealed somethijg pretty astounding that Rocket had guessed but he could help her, but besides him, she'd need a raccoon pal her age and knew just the kit seeing Carol there guessing she wanted to talk to him, hearing sleep-nouses guessing Phylla was deep asleep so wouldn't wake up for a bit.

"Yeah she's in detention for getting in a fight with Tia." she said using the walk-in-talkie relieving him, noticing golden clumps of fur on her Hands making his eyes widen knowing she was beginning to change knowing the tail would be more painful but it made happy tears well in his eyes surprising Carol seeing Casey there hugging her brother but curious about the cub listening, getting excited.

"It's okay but it makes Phylla… my kit." he told her seeing her get it but stunned he wanted her to befriend her which stunned Carol understanding after Rocket explained agreeing noticing Phylla's nose was now a cute snout making Bruce guess the changes were happening slowly.
Afterca bit, Phylla began to stir but covering her ears with golden-furred paws not noticing she was now covered in soft thick golden fur but somethihg was hurtihg and she didn't like ut whimpering which madecRocket understand coming to her side seeing her tail was emerging.
"Ssshhh bubbelah, the final part of the change is happening and it's painful but worth it and we're gonna be closer now because we'll, you'll see let me help you up." he said noticihg her clothes had fallen off being kit sized now making him realise he'd have to make armour which fit her new body seeing herceyes widen in awe instead of anxioysness huggijg his leg as the tail growing still was hurting her stroking behind her golden-furred ear which was helping her relax feeling the pain ease afterca bit standihg up.

He couldn't help but grin at Phylla's eyes going wide, at everythihg knowing being stuck in a lab, the Galaxy was like the best playground ever, only hecwas concerned he might lose her as she was getting sidetracked but askihg tons of questions which was good, holding her paw tightly but gently knowing she didn't have New York street smarts like him from livihg there during the Blip along with havihg an apartment in Brooklyn which he hung oht in when he visited Terra.

"Indon'tvwant that to happen,I can stick tomyou, even thougg Inwant tomexplore, oh and try pizza and those bun thijgs." she replied pointing to the hot-dog cart making Rocket's stomach twist as itvmaxe him think of what Drax's people put in their hot dogs gently encouraging Phylla they should move along which she was getting heading to the Italian place he loved, as they were sitting at a tabke for two ordering soda for Phylla and a mocktail for himsekf, normally he'd have a cocktail but with Phylla, he had to have his wits around him, but Lylla was there making both Phylla happy and Rocket's furrybcheeks go pink hearing his kit giggle.
"Awwww she became a raccoon and as cute as you were at her age, and doing some explorihg, eh." she said
"Uh-huh we're exploring New York, plus yeah I became like daddy only growing a tail kinda hurt, plus he gotva chedk up." Phylla told her drinking through her straw making Rocket sense hearing he'd had a check-up made Lylla worried as he explained he needed it and he did it for his kit which made Lylla smile, seeing meatballs in front of her biy knowing thijgs were gonna get messy grabbing napkins seeingbhim sharing meatballs with Phylla which she was koving because like him, she was hungry which Lylla guessed was her raccoon metabolism noticingvshe was wearingva largecsized top.
"I didn't have time to make her armour, plus I got an awesome idea, we should hitvConey Island." Rocket told her.
"Yep, Coney Island's awesome and fulfils your dad's rollercoaster junkie." Lylla told Phylla making her curious
After dinner they headed to Coney Island and Phylla thought itvwas cool making Rocket chuckle as he knew she waa his kit wanting to ride coasters doing the rollercoaster woo-hoo arms with him giggling and cheering making Lylla, Floorcand Teefs chuckle watching them as it was sweet knowing Rocket was being a good dad so far seeing Lylla agreeing.
A while later, Rocket was carrying a very tired Phylla on his furry back walking to the building he lived in when in New York getting into the elevator hearing his girl yawning, smiling as the elevator stopped at their floor stopping out hearing Phylla asking if they were there yet.
"Yep, we're in my apartment but you're really tired out, huh." he told her putting her on the couch but fixing himself some coffee as he was tired too but was pouring the coffee ijto an Avengers Campus mug then making hot cocoa for Phylla to help relax her despite being tired, seeing her sit up on the couch, thanking him drinking as it was warm and relaxing yawning hugging him seeing him looking at his phone texting Kraklin telling him things were okay
"Kraklin was worrying about us, and I told him we are okay." Rocket told her.
"Yeah, daddy today was awesome including the rollercoasters." she replied to him.
