Decided I might as well try my hand at this. Got this Idea and sat on it for a few days. and by sat on, i mean think while laying in bed at 1 am. gonna see when i can write the next chapter. gonna be interesting. Only gonna wirte on weekdays for now, id say.
It was an interesting day, to be sure. Having overslept, team RWBY got to the mission board as quickly as possible.
''Great, we overslept and now we're left with the scraps.'' Weiss remarked. ''So what, at least we got something.'' Yang replied.
Browsing through the missions, Blake picks one. ''How about this one?''. It was a fairly basic mission, increase in Grimm activity had a Village a bit away from beacon concerned for their own safety. ''Don't have a lot of other options really.'' She continued.
Everyone agreed, they had to do something for their first mission.
Ruby got out her Scroll, put it into the mission board, and voila! They got the details for it.
''Ok! Let's get going!'' Ruby exclaimed. They hopped onto the Bullhead and off they were.
A few minutes later, everything started to, concerningly, rumble and before they knew it, they were smackdab, right there, on the ground.
''Well, if that wasn't a rough landing.'' Yang said. They all got up to investigate. Checking on the pilot, they find out that he's gone.
''What?! Where's the pilot?'' Ruby exclaimed. ''They can't just have vanished like that, can they?'' Weiss questioned.
Stepping outside, the team find themselves surrounded by Grimm. Needless to say, they engage.
Somethings off, they all begin to notice. No matter how many they kill, more just keep on piling up.
''They dont seem to be stopping!'' Yang shouts.
All of them were getting fairly low on Aura. Ruby comes up with a plan. ''I'll see if i can call for help!''.
Jumping back, she gets her scroll out, but before she can do anything, she gets hit to the Side by an Ursa.
''Ruby!'' Yang screams,unable to help her due to being preoccupied by the Grimm around her. Ruby begins staggering back to her feet. She picks up Crescent Rose and charges at the Ursa in front of her. Cleaving its head from its body, Ruby picks up her scroll and immediatly jumps onto the now
crashed Bullhead. Calling Number after Number, she just doesn't reach anyone.
''I can't reach through to anybody!'' Ruby shouts.
Before they can do anything else, a singular shot rings through the air. Looking at her right side, Ruby notices a siceable hole has made its way into, and consequently through, her shoulder. She hadn't noticed, but that hit from the Ursa broke the last bit of her Aura.
Clutching her wound, Ruby falls to her knees. The Adrenaline and Shock enough to overwhelm her, She faints.
Both Yang and Weiss, with very concerned looks, rush over to Ruby. Yang is more focused on protecting her Sister, whilst Weiss makes sure no Grimm get them.
Yang immediatly begins trying to help Rubys wound. After doing an ,arguably, amature job at patching up her Sisters wound, she sends a message to 2 Numbers, Beacons Emergency Line and her uncle.
Yang didn't know why she sent one to her uncle, perhaps just out of habit or desperation. It was a very simple Message, reading 'SEND HELP NOW!', with an image of their location and mission, and one of the patch job on her Sisters Shoulder. Miraculously, the message got through, somehow.
Qrow Branwen was just having a nice stroll through Vale. That was, until he got a message on his scroll. Thinking nothing of it, he opens what Yang sent him.
His heart skipped out on him for a moment. Rushing to beacon as fast as possiple,in his crow form, he just has one thing on his mind, 'Why?'
Reaching beacon, the now extremly desperate man books it for Ozpins office. 'He can get angry at me for the Window later.'. At that exact moment, he transforms back into a human and, with all his force, slams into one of the windows on Ozpins Office.
The Window, not being able to withstand the force of Nature that is a very desperate Qrow Branwen, shatters, promptly alowing the man inside.
''Ozpin! I got a message from Yang, her teams in trouble!'' Qrow shouts at the headmaster of beacon, Distress and Anger evident in his voice.
''I know, Qrow, Beacons Emergency Line got a message from her as well.'' said Ozpin. ''We're already sending reinforcement at this very moment.'' He continued.
''Good, hey, ya got anything medically I could use to help if things get worse?'' Qrow asked. ''Here, I prepared something, I had a feeling you would get here.'' Ozpin replied. ''And don't worry about the window.''he continued.
With that said, He jumped out of the same Window he, forcibly, came in from. Flying toward where his Nieces team is, he prays that nothing bad happens.
Confused, Ruby wakes up. Getting her bearings and sitting upright, she notices a few things. 1. Blake isn't with them, 2. her sister is glad she is awake and 3. the Grimm have stopped moving.
''Oh thank god you're awake Ruby!'' Yang says as she hugs her Sister.
Upon said hug, Ruby feels a rather sharp pain in her right shoulder. Pushing herself off of Yang, she inspects it, coming to the morbid realisation that there was in fact a bullet in her shoulder.
Looking around, she sees Blake, standing among all of the Grimm. Worried, she looks at her Sister. Anger very evident in Yangs eyes, same for Weiss as she looks over.
''What's going on Yang?!'' Ruby asks. ''I don't know, but seems like we got ourselves a traitor.'' Yang says, Venom just spewing out as she does so.
''Traitor? What do you-'' looking over at Blake again, she realises something, her head connecting the dots. The Bullet, Blake amongst Grimm, the visible anger in her teammates eyes. ''Blake decided to betray us, by shooting you!'' Yang shouts.
Ruby didn't want to believe it, but everything makes sense. The question now is, how is Blake standing in the middle of a crowd of Grimm? ''Why did you do it, Blake!?'' A, to put it simply, pissed off Weiss demands.
''I am a servant to the White Fang, i am just following orders.'' Blake says, like shooting someone is completly normal. Before anyone can say anything, Weiss notices something behind Blake. ''Who's that in the trees?'' she questioned.
''Well, you have good eyes.'' says the Stranger hiding in the treeline. Stepping out, it's none other than Adam Taurus. ''But I am just here to observe her.'' He says, mentioning to Blake.
Weiss, having had just about enough of this whole thing, challenges Blake. ''If You want to betray us, then do so, but I won't back down!''
She says, raising her Weapon. ''Fine, if you want to die so badly, then let's have it your way.'' After Blake says that, the Grimm form an Arena of sorts.
Jumping down, she pierces Myrtenaster into the ground, ice spreading forward. With a flick, a fireball melts the ice, causing a massive cloud of smoke to appear.
The only things Ruby and Yang can hear are the sound of Metal striking Metal. That is, until a sharp snap is heard. Following that up, the Sisters can hear and feel as something slams into the side of the Bullhead they're on. Hoping that Weiss won, they check. Looking down, they see a beaten Weiss, unconcious and, most worrying of all, a broken Weapon.
Looking around, they scan for where Blake might be. Neither notice the approaching shadow of the betraying faunus behind Yang.
Yang, feeling that something is off, turns around just in time to block what would have been a fatal strike to the back. Trying a counter, she pushes Blake up into the air, she shoots herself towards the attacker with Ember Celica. Preparing to hit, she underestimates the reflexes and speed that the Faunus has. Dodging the punch that Yang threw, she dives forward, cutting Yang diagonally across the chest. Falling down, Yang lands on her back with a heavy thud, much to Ruby's dismay.
She manages to snap out of it when she notices a very fast Blake approaching, Sidestepping with her Semblence. Trying to shoot Blake with her Sniper, She forces the agile Faunus to dodge. In an attempt to capitalise on this, she puts her Scythe behind her, launching herself forward with a pull of Crescent Roses Trigger. What she didn't expect was for Blake to suddenly dissapear, prompting Ruby to adjust and shoot herself back onto the Bullhead. She also didn't expect to find herself getting hit on the back of her head, followed up by a quick strike to both of Ruby's legs. Falling forward with just as heavy of a thud. The follow up stab wound to her chest, whilst missing all vital organs, does seem, frankly, like overkill, considering that losing ones legs usually results in death by Bloodloss very quickly.
As she falls unconcious, she can only think of one thing, 'Why?'.
Blake returns to Adam, who looks satisfied. ''You did good, now let's purge that Village of it's Traitors.'' He says.
Unbeknownst to Ruby, Weiss and Yang, the Village they were going to for their mission housed a lot of people that were once in the White Fang, before leaving due to the radical change and increase in Violence.
Qrow flew the fastest he ever went. Having been notified of Rubys predicament and injury, He knew that there would be more to it than it seemed like. 'Ruby is to smart to somehow shoot Herself with her own weapon, this reeks of Foul play.' Oh boy, how right the man would be.
Man, Writings fun but also damn tough, see now why stories get stopped. Next chapters gonna have Qrow look after a very beat up team RWY and whatever else i thought of at the time. Gotta go through my Memories for this whole thing.
