I own the characters: Robert (Fru Frus husband), and Marjan (Their first and dead son)

It was a lovely afternoon in Zootopia. From a hospital, Fru Fru just emerged with her husband, Robert. They had a check over and her baby inside of her was growing very nicely. Whiles Robert was beaming and embracing Fru Fru she was looking very sad.

Today they could finally see the gender of her baby rodent, and Fru Fru's heart broke. It turned out all her hopes for a girl being their first were dashed, it was a boy. Truly and 100%.

"Darling please don't worry. We can continue with our family right after his birth. I promise you. We can have a large family together and you can still name your first child Judy. I promise." Robert said trying to build her hopes back up again.

Fru Fru was almost on the verge of crying, "But my love. I so badly wanted a girl to be my first. Instead I got this son in me. Why is God being so unfair. I wanted a girl."

"My love please don't worry. We will get you the girl as soon as possible. Calm down." Robert said hugging her again. "But first Mr Big might wanna be informed, your father and mother."

Fru Fru nodded her head, Robert went inside with his wife and Fru Fru sat down with a depressed look all over her face.

Mr Big answered his phone: "Good morning my beloved son-in-law Robert. How is my beloved daughter doing with the pregnancy."

Robert smiled a bit, "It's happened today sir. You're a grandfather to a healthy boy. We'd like you and Mrs Big to come down and see your grandson before we decide to name him."

"Oh... um sure." It was suddenly Mrs Big on the phone, sounding worried. "We will come right away."

"Thank you malady." Robert beamed.

As he got off the phone, Fru Fru was still looking as unhappy as can be. Their, still unnamed son, was lying next to her, wriggling, trying to get his mother to pay attention.

"Gagaga, gogo, gagaga." The son wriggled and complained, trying to get any attention.

Robert sighs and picks his son up, he smiles at how cute he looked and huggs him close to his heart.

"There there. Fru dear I think our son is getting hungry. If you want I can leave the room to let you both bond." Robert suggested, looking at his wife.

Fru Fru sight, she got up, picked up a milking machine and walked into the bathroom. A few minutes later and lots of strange noises later too she emerged with a full baby bottle of milk she just withdrew from herself, handing it to Robert.

"Here, feed the thing then." She snapped, walking back to bed.

Robert clutched one hand to his side, "Dear that creature is not a thing. HE IS YOUR SON FOR CHRISTS SAKE."

"WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH." Their son suddenly went even louder, shocked by his father's sudden outburst.

Robert dashed to the crib and picked his little son up, carefully he pointed the pipette at his sons nose. The son sniffed it a little, then grabbed for it closer, placing it between his lips and suckling from the pipette. Robert was beaming as he watched his son drink from the bottle until it was almost empty.

Whiles he was bonding nicely with his son, his wife still looked at him like he was the worst creation on earth. It was really quite sad that Fru Fru could feel no love for her first child.

The doorbell suddenly rang, Robert smiled, holding his son he answered it and Mr and Mrs Big were standing outside.

"Father-in-law, mother-in-law welcome to our home, please come in and make yourself at home." Robert smiled.

Mr and Mrs Big walked inside and headed to the living room. Mr Big made himself a pin hat sized vodka and Mrs Big made herself some champagne to celebrate the occasion.

"So where is our Grandson? I'd love to see the future heir of the Big company." Mr Big demanded.

"Here sir," Robert smiled, showing him the tiny being in his hands, he then faced Mrs Big, "But sadly your daughter can't feel or find any joy in having a son. Could you maybe talk to her?"

Mrs Big sighs, "I can try."

She walks back to her daughter.

Fru Fru was still lying in bed, she had a pack of tissues which she was crying her broken heart into. Mrs Big walks up to her daughter and faces her.

"Fru Fru dear, please don't be so sad. You've just become a mother. I know when one wishes with all their might to have something it won't come true. But that doesn't mean you can't also be a great mother to your son." Mrs Big said, stroking her daughters head.

"Mother, from the very day I almost got killed by that massive doughnut ring and Judy Hopps saving my life, I've wanted my first to be a daughter to name and honour my personal hero. But now that I've given birth to a son instead I just feel betrayed. I can't exactly name my son Judy can I?" Fru Fru sighs.

Mrs Big wonders, "Well, have you and Robert discussed any male names? Maybe that could be his name instead."

"Even if we've discussed them," Fru Fru trembles, "I'm just too shocked and hurt to remember it."

"Yes we have a boys name Mrs Big, and I hope Mr Big will alow it too." Robert smiles.

He faces Mr Big, "For a boy we had decided on Marjan."

Mr Big beamed, "Marjan is a great name, good job you two. And my dear Fru Fru, please love your son just as much as if he were a girl, please."

Fru Fru couldn't face her family anymore, still not holding her son she left her home and headed into town instead. Trying to stop her heart from breaking.

Fru Fru left Rodentia and drove with the tram towards Zootopia. She wanted to visit Nick and Judy and tell them of the good news. Eventhough she felt betrayed.

Why couldn't her pregnancy have been a girl? Why couldn't that male baby turn itself into a girl? This was so unfair. As Fru Fru got off the tram at her stop she screamed again and stomped very angry up to Nick and Judy's home.

Nick and Judy both knew that Fru Fru was pregnant, but also believed it to be a girl.

"I wonder how long a rodent carries the baby until its birth. She did look quite big as we threatened Weaselton back then," Nick wondered.

Judy nods her head, "True she could give birth any day now."

The doorbell suddenly rang, Nick blinked confused and went to answer it. He opened the door.

"Hello, anyone here?" Nick called out.

Strangely, he couldn't see anyone.

Just then a voice called up to him, "Hey, Mr Nick? Look down please."

Nick looked down and blinked surprised. It was the very rodent they were talking about.

"Oh, good afternoon Fru Fru. Do come in." Nick blinked.

He bent down and picked the small rodent up, walking with her back into the kitchen and Judy saw her friend too.

Judy smiles, "Hi Fru Fru, wow you've slimmed down quite a bit after the birth of your daughter. How is the little dear?"

Fru Fru smiles a bit, "Oh the birth went quite well Judy dear... only... I've given birth to a boy and not a girl."

Judy saw Fru Fru looking quite unhappy. "I'm sorry Fru Fru. I... well... have you thought of any male names?"

"I haven't no. But Robert has. He's decided to call our son Marjan." Fru Fru said, "I've accepted it as it is."

"That's good then Fru Fru." Judy smiles, "I'm sure you can love him anyhow."

Fru Fru smiles a little, "Thanks Judy. I will try. I got to head back and start being a mum to him, I just wanted to drop the news of to you. Bye."

Judy and Nick gave Fru Fru a small hug and kiss and she headed back home again.

As Fru Fru got home in the late evening, she saw Marjan was already fed, washed and fast asleep in his new crib. Luckily her husband had bought clothes that were non-sex orientated. So they can work for both boy and girl babies.

Fru Fru sighs, she walked outside and checked the post over. There were quite a few congratulation cards from many relatives, but also a solid brown envelope, looking a bit like a business letter, but clearly addressed to her.

Mrs Fru Fru Big, very strange.

Fru Fru walked inside, threw the advertisement mail in the bin, placing the congratulation cards down and opened this odd letter. She read what it said and she almost screamed, dropping it as if it had burned her.

Mrs Big,

Place $ in a black bag in the bin by the train station leading into Rodentia. If you don't, we will kill your newly born son. No police.

Signed: Mr X.

Fru Fru froze over. How can this be? She only just gave birth to her baby. How can anyone already know about him and be threatening her child's life?

In a panic, Fru Fru grabbed her mobile again and dialed Judy's mobile number.

"Judy, here's Fru Fru. I'm sorry... but I will need your help please.- In 10 minutes at your flat? OK I will be there. Thanks dear.- Ok bye." Fru Fru said.

She got off the phone, grabbed a pair of white gloves and a clear plastic bag and bagged it in. Quickly running into her nursery she grabbed Marjan and a car seat. She raced to her car, strapped him in and jumped into the drivers seat.

Quickly Fru Fru headed for the high way and off to Zootopia to meet up with Judy. Hopefully she can help out.
