PART 2: VISITING TARANZA
After visiting Magolor, Kirby decided that Taranza would up next. And thus, he took his warp star and headed to Floralia.
The Dreamstalk that connected Dream Land to Floralia has been long gone. King Dedede didn't want the Dreamstalk to be attached to Dream Land anymore due to taking up so much room. However, Floralia is still here, fine and dandy, just like it was before. The population there even looks to be flourishing as Kirby observed.
Floralia was and is still a very nice looking place, Kirby thought to himself. He didn't blame Taranza for wanting to continue to live there. As a matter of fact, he actually wanted to just skim around the islands before going to Royal Road to visit the spider, just to regain memories for when he went through them. It's still decently early in the day, so Kirby thought it wouldn't hurt to take his time. He's feeling pretty adventurous today, so why not?
He decides to be on his warp star the entire time while going through these islands again. He won't take too long, he'll probably take about forty five minutes at most to go through these islands again.
Even when he goes to the first island of Fine Fields, he already happens to bump into the People of the Sky and waved hello at them. He remembers when he rescued them when they were imprisoned. He even spoke to them for a little bit, and found out they think really positively of Taranza know, despite what he did to them in the past.
Lollipop Land was pretty fun for Kirby to go through again. He got himself some lollipops there real quick. He reminded himself how many lollipops he ate during the last time he was on this island.
When going through Old Odyssey, it reminded Kirby of the trains coming through. It amused him when he was reminded that he literally ate those trains with the Hypernova ability that he received from the Miracle Fruits. He remembers the immense tense he had being in those trainy areas.
Wild World was quite a jungle. He remembered the temples with all of the big snake-like figures when he went through it again. It also reminded him when he defeated Coily Rattler, who constantly freaked him out when it separated its bodily segments and threw it at him during that fight.
Endless Explosions.. what a place that was, Kirby thought to himself when he revisited it again. It's dangerous, but the scenery was nice to watch from a distance! Unfortunately, it temporarily gave Kirby the dreaded memory of fighting that giant lava frog, Pyribbit. Fighting that big frog was nothing short of frustrating. Kirby remembered the moment when he had a huge sigh relief after defeating it.
But he didn't let that memory get to him too much. After all, the ultimate reason he came up here in Floralia was to see Taranza, not get PTSD from some bad memory.
So Kirby continued on.
He finally makes it to Royal Road. A lot of sectra dees and sectra burts were in sight, but he found Taranza sitting at a balcony right outside of the castle. It appears that he's relaxing and enjoying the view. When Kirby approaches closer, it doesn't take long until it catches the spider's attention, much to his surprise and then joy.
"Kirby! What a pleasant surprise to see you here!" Taranza greeted happily, looking happy to see Kirby. He was greeted back with the same usual adorable hi that Kirby typically does as well as a wave, and then he waves back with two of his right hands. "I hope your day's been going wonderfully, Kirby!"
"It has been! And I just wanted to come see you!" said Kirby happily.
Taranza was flattered that Kirby came all the way here to Floralia just to visit him. It shows him that there's been another person that genuinely cares about him and appreciates him. That always made him smile. "How incredibly kind of you to do that! I'm always happy to have company, even when it's unannounced beforehand. You are always welcome to come visit me any time."
He may never be able to completely get over Sectonia's death, and thus he still has some PTSD from it, but after a certain point he's been refusing to let that stop him from forming platonic relationships with other people. For a few years now, he's been given love and care from many people, including Kirby himself who's pretty much been the forefront of that, and that motivated Taranza to occasionally visit Dream Land every few months as a token of gratitude, although he still stays close to Floralia most of the time.
"I like Floralia too!" said Kirby. "I flew around all the other islands before I came here."
"Heheheheh. This kingdom just means so much to me. I've grown up here in Floralia. I love and cherish this kingdom so much, I'd do anything to protect it." Taranza casually said. "The landscapes on these islands are just beautiful. The people are great too! I've now been coined the protector of Floralia, because I've established and proven to the people here that my soul lies with this kingdom in every way. It still blows my mind how I've caused trouble here before. If only I didn't allow Sectonia to brainwash me when she was corrupted." When he said that last sentence, his tone began to be less casual and a little bit gloomier.
When Kirby came here to visit Taranza, he said to himself that he'd deliberately avoid talking about Sectonia because he doesn't want Taranza to be sad again. Which makes it feel ironic to him that Taranza is the one that ends up bringing the subject. He was worried that Taranza may just end up unintentionally making himself sad again, and so to hopefully prevent that, Kirby uses this opportunity to ask for a hug.
"How about a hug, Taranza? Let's have all happy feelings! Hug please!" asked Kirby cheerfully as he opens his stubby little arms wide ready for a hug.
"A-a-a-a hug?" said Taranza. "A hug? A hug?! Kirby! I would love to have a hug!" He comes forward with a big smile and with all six of his floaty hands ready to hug Kirby.
Kirby hugged Taranza. It was really sweet and heartwarming. All six of Taranza's floaty hands were wrapped around Kirby. He hugged onto Kirby pretty tightly because his company made him happy and he could use the hug. Kirby could tell how helpful the hug was in improving Taranza's day when he felt how tightly he was being hugged.
Taranza began shedding a tear during this hug. But fortunately, it wasn't a tear of sadness. It was a tear of joy. He became so joyful during this hug, it put him on an emotional level to the point of shedding a tear.
He has had many sad tears in the past due to the loss of the person he really cared about. But that was the past and he's really been working to reduce that. However, he simply couldn't help himself in terms of being emotional during this light-hearted friendly hug from Kirby. It was too precious for him.
"Thank you so much, Kirby!" He said during the hug. "You're too good for this universe. You really are."
Kirby really felt that remark. The spider wasn't wrong when he said that. How could the universe handle Kirby's wholesomeness?
After the hug was over, Kirby then had something else in mind while he's still here with Taranza. "Hey, how about going around all the islands in Floralia together?" he asked.
Upon hearing the question, the spider looks interested in participating. "Sure! I don't see why not. Traveling around with you has always been fun, my friend!" he replied.
And just like that, Kirby and Taranza started their fun little trip across all of the Floralia islands. The two haven't seen each other in months, so they figured their visit should be a decently long one. Both of them picked out flowers together in a few of the islands, admiring the flora that the islands had to offer. They bumped into the People of the Sky again. They bumped into many sectra dees and sectra burts that saluted Taranza, as well as Kirby due to him accompanying the spider. Lollipop Land was fun to be on, Kirby got to have lollipops and Taranza was willing to have some as well. They didn't really go too deeply into Endless Explosions since it was a bit dangerous, but it was quite the sighting to see nonetheless.
After a while, the two finally got back to the castle in Royal Road after visiting all of the other islands.
"It was fun spending time with you, Kirby!" said Taranza.
Kirby smiled upon hearing that. "Yes! And by the way, it makes me happy that you actually try to not be so depressed anymore and make your days better now!"
"Well, I understand there's so much more to life. I still miss her, but it would be a waste to not do anything else but to keep mourning her." Taranza says as he is currently at the point right now where he can comfortably talk about the matter without even having any gloomy emotions, let alone shed any tears over it. "And plus, the amount of support I've gotten from so many people, including yourself, has come a long way in genuinely helping me overcome what I've been through. It's been more than enough to help me actually live an enjoyable life now. It wouldn't have been possible without you or others."
Kirby had a very big smile to hear all of that. He remembered when Taranza was at a point of literal depression. He has seen him cry many times in the past. But he's really worked on it. He's really improved on it. And it's thanks to so many people's support. The Void Termina incident was special for Taranza because he's met so many different friends during that time period that were kind and understanding to him. And thanks to their support, he managed to hold the line in being a part of the group that finally took down Void Termina. He's become good friends with Magolor. He's become good friends with Susie, who has also lost a loved one like he did. He's become friends with Marx, who along with Magolor helps make his day with comedy. He's become good friends with all of the animal buddies that accompanied Kirby during some of the Dark Matter incidents. He's become good friends with King Dedede after being sorry for kidnapping him.
His life essentially changed for the better after that incident, because he met so many people he could rely on for help and support whenever he needed it. And it was successful to helping him see life in a better light. Friends are a wonderful thing. Even if he doesn't see them every day, he still has them contacted on phone that he can call any time he'd like to.
"Hey, remember the picnic we had a while back?" asked Kirby.
"With Magolor, Susie and Marx?" replied Taranza. "I do remember that, yes! It was very fun! Those three have been great friends to me ever since. I've gotten a ton of support from them, they know what I've been through. I know Susie has also been through rough times like me, though, so she and I helped each other out."
"Well, I think I'm gonna get going now." said Kirby. "I had so much fun being with you!"
"Indeed, I enjoyed being with you as well!" said Taranza. "I can't really thank you enough for coming by. Bye-bye!" He waved with all six of his floaty hands.
That visit was really good! It was wonderful seeing Taranza trying to handle himself better.
Kirby leaves Floralia in his warp star. There are two more friends left for him to visit today.
PART 3: VISITING MARX
Marx was next for Kirby to visit. Yep, he was ready for that silly jester now. It's been a while since the two saw each other!
He remembered that Magolor was going to call Marx to go stay around the Floria planet of the Milky Way Wishes area for Kirby to find him. Out of the Milky Way planets, Floria was the closest one to Planet Popstar. It's also very small for planet standards, so finding the cosmic jester shouldn't be too difficult. It's been many hours ago since Kirby's visit with Magolor, so there is a good chance that Marx was already asked to go over to Floria by now.
As Kirby warp starred up to the Milky Way Wishes area, he did notice the sun and moon aren't fighting. So at least he doesn't need to worry about Marx pulling that same dirty prank on him again that he did a long time ago. Of course that trickster would no longer be doing that kind of stuff to the pink hero anyways, because they've made up since. Heh. It's just that those incidents are easy for Kirby to remember when he revisits these places again. But this time, he has no need to worry about activating any Dream Fountains. No need to worry about summoning Galactic Nova.
Kirby reaches the small grassy Floria planet. Thirty minutes in of strolling through the grasslands after landing, he notices a small pile of.. beach balls? And when he approached them closer and closer, he noticed that they're the exact same kind of beach ball that Marx often bounces on.
Marx is definitely here, as the beach balls prove it. But Kirby doesn't seem to see him anywhere at the moment, strangely enough.
Where exactly could he be right now?
Could he be hiding?
Could this pile of beach balls be some sort of prank?
What kind of prank could Kirby's favorite jester be pulling by having this pile of beach balls in the grass?
He wasn't sure. But since he wanted to see Marx, he decided to try to come up to the beach balls, regardless if it meant baiting himself into getting pranked by Marx. If he baited himself without really knowing it, it'd be worth it for his friend.
As he walks right up to the beach balls, he lightly taps one of them. He doesn't do anything more than that, though, because he's on high alert trying to find where the jester is.
He looks around while standing in front of the beach balls, but so far, nothing. After a few minutes of looking around, he goes right back to focusing his attention on the beach balls, and lightly taps another.
But while he's doing that, he hears a bunch of bouncing noises to his left. He looks up and turns left, and sees a bunch more beach balls coming down to the grass. But where were they coming from? Kirby saw that they were coming from behind a large tree that was close to the initial beach ball pile.
Five seconds later, beach balls start coming down from the right side of the tree.
Five seconds after that, some intense laughter occurs. It was the unmistakable laughter of Marx! He's here!
Marx flies out from behind the tree while still laughing, as his golden wings with the crystals are present. He sees Kirby, and then comes down onto the ground, retracting his wings.
"Hey, hey, hey, Kirby! What a shock! I certainly wouldn't have expected to see you here, heheheheheheheh!" said Marx. He was still cackling with laughter. "I bet I really caught you off guard with all them beach balls, huh?" He spits out one more beach ball from his mouth, as a reminder as that's where all the beach balls came from. He then hops onto that ball he just spat out, and bounces on it.
The same classy, comical, maniacal Marx is still here, unchanged!
"Hiii!" says Kirby. "What's this about? Raining beach balls? Is that the joke you were pulling here?"
"Basically, more or less!" replied Marx. "I mean, it ain't exactly a complex joke. I dunno, not all of my pranks have too much thought into them. Sometimes it's just me having fun, even if the actions are really stupid. But I figured it'd be funny to get someone to figure out where all these beach balls came from, and then surprise them when they got close."
"When I saw those balls, I knew you were here. But I didn't expect all those raining ones to come down! That got me!" Kirby lightly chuckles a little bit after saying that last bit, admitting it was pretty funny due to the unexpected nature of it.
Marx laughed. "Anyways. I didn't know you would actually come out of Planet Popstar when there's no big universal threat going on. I'm sure you don't care to try to activate all the Fountain Dreams again. I wonder what brings you around these parts?"
"I decided to come give you a visit and see what you were up to lately!" replied Kirby.
"You knew I was around here? Uhh... how? Oh, wait a second... this must be the reason why Mags called me to come to this area! He called me to come here for you to come and meet me, huh? I see now."
"Yes! I saw Magolor earlier today and told them I decided I wanted to see you after not having done so for a while now."
"Hah. You know I'm great! You can't resist the greatness that is me! I can claim that I'm the best!" said Marx proudly, and then cackles a bit after saying that. "That was a bit sarcastic. In all seriousness, though, I'm actually glad you felt like wanting to come see me. Definitely a true friend! Thanks, good buddy 'ol pal. Anyways, check this out!"
He kicks the ball he was bouncing on towards the large tree. He kicked the ball with enough force that the impact made by the ball actually caused many apples to fall off the tree. As soon as apples started falling on the grass, Marx then proceeded to munch down on them.
Of course, Marx loves to eat! Kirby figured he'd join in on the feeding too. When they finished eating all the apples that were on the floor, Kirby then got his chance to ask for a hug.
"How about a hug, Marx?" he asks gleefully.
"You want a hug? What?" Marx doesn't usually hug people for the most part. However, he's endeared by the fact that Kirby literally just went out to find him and ask for one. So he accepts the offer for one. "Sure thing! I don't see why I couldn't take a hug. You're a great friend after all, and I know we rarely get to see each other. A hug wouldn't hurt! I'll let you have what you came here wanting for, so here ya go!"
Marx doesn't have forelimbs when not including his wings, but he allows Kirby to come up to him and hug him, wrapping his little stubby arms around him. Ten seconds into the hug, Marx then pulls out his wings to hug Kirby with. He retracts them after the hug is over.
Marx hasn't changed his mischievous ways ever since he first met Kirby. However, as he knew better than to antagonize Kirby ever again after losing the fight they had against each other a long time ago, their past beef didn't stop the two from befriending each other later. Marx's arrival to Popstar for his recruitment in the Star Allies is when he really warmed up to Kirby as a friend. Kirby has considered Marx to be very entertaining when they were together in that time period. Easily one of his funniest friends, alongside Magolor.
And speaking of Magolor, that's been Marx's best friend for a long time now. Both of them share the same kind of massive sense of humor, it's almost as if they were just destined to be friends. Marx has also happened to befriend Susie and Taranza and contacted them through phone, and that might seem strange for those two to be friends with him, but they warmed up to him after Magolor helped them warm up to him. Rick, Kine and Coo have also been friends with Marx as well, they've experienced fighting alongside him during the Void Termina incident and to say that he made them laugh a lot would be an understatement.
And Kirby knew how much Marx loved food, just like he did. The gorging on apples together they just did was a fresh reminder of that. In Kirby's birthday parties, Marx sometimes couldn't help himself but gorge on portions of the food that was given. Kirby didn't stop him from doing that.
"Thanks for coming to visit, Kirby! Do you have to leave now, or could I ask if you'd like to have some fun with me first? Because I'd be more than glad to have some fun if you're down for it!" asks Marx.
"I'll stay and have some fun! I don't see why not." Kirby seldom sees Marx anyways, so he thinks it'd absolutely be worth the time to have fun with him.
"Excellent. Let's go nuts, Kirby! Time for you to get a taste of the fun stuff I pull off! I don't imagine participating in pranks is necessarily your thing, but that doesn't matter, because you're still welcome to just simply observe my amazing stunts!"
And just like that, Kirby and Marx decide to leave Floria with Kirby using his warp star and Marx using his wings, and go to Aquarius, which is the next Milky Way Wishes planet nearby Floria.
Being a planet filled so much with water, there wasn't a whole lot of land to do funny business on, so instead they chose to do antics around the water. Kirby managed to use his warp star like a surfboard to surf, while Marx dived underwater at times and then actually managed to make large waves in the water for Kirby to surf on. Kirby witnesses that even when Marx isn't pulling pranks, he's still one that just loves to go around and have fun in general. Marx spooks away a lot of the marine residents that the two come cross, but Kirby doesn't even bother trying to stop him from doing that, because the two are just having a blast. Marx even spat out beach balls in a line in the water for Kirby to try to cross one island to another by walking on them. The jester knows how to have fun!
Marx then requested to go to Halfmoon, which is further away than the other small plants. The two go there and have fun riding mine carts. The two enjoy banging through walls and smashing objects together with the mine carts, as it wouldn't be a surprise that the jester was the one doing most of the smashing. This low IQ fun is something Kirby hasn't done in a while. It was obviously stupid, but how would that matter? It was fun. That was the whole point of it.
And of course, Marx did his pranks. No way he couldn't have. Kirby observed them and admittedly it made him laugh a lot, even if it was a bit much in terms of how the other inhabitants viewed it. Marx is definitely a funny guy, that's for sure.
After a while inside Halfmoon when they're done doing shenanigans here is when Kirby then finally decides to go.
"Alright, Kirby. Take care! I had so much fun with ya today!" said Marx.
"Yes, you too!" responded Kirby.
Using his warp star, Kirby leaves Halfmoon. Marx also appears to be leaving Halfmoon, but in a different direction from where Kirby is headed. That was a great time with the cosmic jester! So far, Kirby has seen three out of the four friends he's planned to visit today. Meaning there's still one more friend that he still plans to visit! This friend lives the furthest from Kirby's home compared to the other three, but he still wants to come visit her regardless!
PART 4: VISITING SUSIE
Kirby still remembers back during his most recent birthday party, seven months ago, when Susie told him that she moved to Shiver Star and is staying there for a few years. It helps that Shiver Star is the neighbor to Ribbon's home planet of Ripple Star, so that made it easy for Kirby to remember how to get to Shiver Star.
He hasn't been to Shiver Star since the first time he went to the planet during the last Dark Matter incident, which was a long time ago. But as he's about to enter the planet again, he noticed differences from the last time he was here. It's still a wintery and snow-filled planet, but all of the inhabitants that he remembered living here... are all absent. It looks like they all could've just moved out and went to other planets. He forgot that Susie told him that Shiver Star was empty of residents by the time she entered the planet.
The mall was still there. It's pretty amazing that it's still there standing, since none of the former Shiver Star residents are here anymore, but who knows what could be like inside the mall at this point?
It appears that the factory is still there too, although even from the outside it looks a lot different from the last time he remembered it.
But while it was nice to see the mall and the factory again, the insides of what they're like nowadays wasn't really much of a concern for Kirby right now.
He didn't come here for the purpose of checking out those places again.
He came here to visit Susie Haltmann.
After a little while of cruising through the planet with his warp star looking for Susie, Kirby approaches the abandoned city area where he defeated HR-H and HR-E. And, much to his joy, he found Susie's spaceship sitting in that area. He knew it was her spaceship because it had the Haltmann Works Company logos on it. The spaceship was only a fraction of the size of the original Access Ark.
He approached closer and closer to the spaceship. As he got close enough, he noticed many Haltmann robots walking around in nearby area of the spaceship.. working on things, it looks like. And when he got even closer, he finally spotted the pink-haired former secretary herself. She was standing right outside out of the spaceship's entrance, looking like she was about go inside.
When Kirby began approaching, the sparkly noises of his warp star caught Susie's attention, making her turn around to face him before he could land. Kirby waves happily upon eye contact with her, and although she got startled due to not expecting to see him here, she happily waves back with a joyful expression on her eyes after she was done being startled.
"Pinky! My goodness, you caught me by surprise. I certainly wouldn't have expected to see you around here!" said Susie, after Kirby finally came right up to her. "But I'm very glad to see you again! How are you doing? On a vacation in this planet, perhaps?"
"I wanted to come visit you! That's why I'm here!" replied Kirby.
"To come... visit me?!" Susie couldn't believe it at first. Processing the situation in her mind just makes her feel more and more flabbergasted. "You literally went out of your way to come here just to visit me? Just to see me? Just to see how I'm doing? Pinky... I-I-I can't... even.."
She was starting to look really visibly emotional while saying that, and Kirby could tell. "I wanted to be a true friend and come see you! I hardly ever get to see you." he said. "I remember when you told me you moved here. I simply just wanted to give you a nice, friendly visit."
Susie's big blue eyes very slowly began to water as she begins to make her response. "Awww... Pinky. Little pinky. How absolutely sweet of you." she says in a really heartfelt, emotional tone. She wipes her eyes with her floaty hands to remove the potential tears, as she was trying hard not to cry. "I just about never get visits from anyone. And to be fair, there was a period of time where I've felt like I didn't deserve to be visited. But I really thank you so much for coming to see me. I really shouldn't be surprised that out of all the people that chooses to come visit me, it is you. You're such a dear little soul. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to be friends with you, Kirby!" She arbitrarily dropped the "Pinky" nickname at that last bit. She still loves to call him "Pinky", but there's every now and then where she ends up just saying his real name instead.
"I was hoping this would make your day!" said Kirby gleefully.
"It absolutely has." Susie smiled while saying that with a sweet tone. Despite not having a visible mouth, one can still tell if she's smiling by the squinted happy expression on her eyes, like what she's doing right now. "Anyhow, I was going to go inside the spaceship. I invite you to come inside with me if you still want to chat!"
Kirby was glad to take the invitation and went inside the spaceship with her. As he looked around, he noticed a lot of the same stuff that was inside the Access Ark. It appears to be stuff that survived the destruction of the Access Ark, and whatever else that Susie may have salvaged.
"Hey, Susie, you said that nobody else ever visits you." said Kirby. "Not even Magolor? I saw him today and he said he's friends with you and has you contacted by phone. Is that true?"
"As a matter fact, that's correct." said Susie. "But I don't really get the chance to see Magolor in person, as I pretty much only see him on your birthday parties. I know he's busy operating an amusement park over in your planet. But I do speak to him on the phone occasionally. I know he's got a whole bunch of those masks going on now for people to wear. I got him to design two different versions of masks of me." She giggles right after that last line. "I haven't gotten the chance to actually obtain any masks from him just yet."
"Let me say that the masks are fun!"
"I wouldn't doubt that they are! And by the way, if what I said earlier sounded like I have no friends, that's actually not true. As I already mentioned Magolor still being friends with me, other friends that I know I have include Ribbon, the Jambastion mage sisters, Taranza and Marx. Oh, and ChuChu! I really like that adorable pinky little octopus. That being said, despite them being my friends, I don't get the chance to see any of them in person for the most part. That's pretty difficult to try to set up, knowing how occupied everyone is."
Susie is friends with ChuChu? That part surprised Kirby a bit, as he didn't know the two girls even met. Maybe they interacted in one of Kirby's birthday parties when he didn't notice it? It would explain as to why ChuChu picked out that Susie's weekend outfit mask.
"I can get that. I don't really have anything else to do around this time, though, which allows me to do stuff like this right now." said Kirby. "I just thought about you this morning, and wanted to come see you again after a while of not doing so!"
The pink-haired girl smiled again. "Well, I really do appreciate that you've actually thought about me. That's so kind of you, thank you. It sounds like you miss me, and I'll let you know that I miss you too. I know I've given you trouble in the past and I've been really sorry about that. You are the one that helped me see the light and I've really grown to appreciate your planet for what it is. I've been wanting to vacation there, but I haven't been able to."
Kirby uses this now as the opportunity to ask for a hug. "Susie, I would like a hug! That's the other reason I decided to come here. Visit you and then give you a hug! I have been feeling really generous and just want to make your day good if it hasn't already!" He opens his little stub arms wide.
That just made Susie become a bit emotional again, adored by Kirby's insane levels of kindness. "Awww... a hug.. really?" Susie can't even remember the last time she ever hugged anyone. Well, she did hug her dad, even in the time period when she came back to him and he didn't remember her as his daughter, but that was all such a long time ago. This adorable little pink hero just going out of his way to come visit her and ask for a hug was just too pure. There was no way she was going to pass up on this. She opened her floaty hands wide. "Yes, you may have a hug. You've been so nice and caring, you deserve one! Come here, little pinky!"
Kirby and Susie came to each other for a hug. The hug with Susie ended up being longer than the other three hugs Kirby engaged in today. That's because.. she needed it the most out of them.
She hasn't brought this up with Kirby during this visit and still has no intentions to while he's still here, but even up to these times she's still been internally suffering PTSD from never having a proper relationship with her dad. She was absolutely livid when he forgot about her when she came back, and tried everything she could to get him to come to his senses until he ended up dying. At least Taranza was able to have a lot of quality time with Sectonia before she became corrupted from the mirror that he gave her. Susie has never had the proper quality time with her dad that she would've wanted ever since the accident that sent her to another dimension when she was a small child. She tried to bring back her dad's company just simply to honor his legacy as a cope to not being able to have a proper relationship with him, but that horrible PTSD has become too overbearing and the fact that she has experienced so much stress trying to bring it back didn't help matters either. She had to give up bringing the company back, because it's proven to be much for her to handle.
There was a point she had to admit to herself that she's had way more fun with Kirby and others when hanging out with them for a bit after the Void Termina incident, than she ever did trying to bring back the company. This all led to her simply wanting to relax. She chose to live in Shiver Star to relax for some time because she's been long interested in the infrastructure remaining on the planet. The Jambastion mage sisters have bumped into her some time after the Star Allies disbanded, and her befriending of them has been helpful for her well-being. She's seen Ribbon a few times not too long ago, due to Ripple Star being close to Shiver Star, which was helpful for her well-being too. Magolor and a few others getting her contacted through phone was also a benefit. All of these things have been helpful enough to where even though her PTSD isn't gone, she can now at least function without it being overbearing. It's enough to where she's able to interact with Kirby right now without the PTSD getting in the way at all.
After the hug was over, and after Susie has eased down on her emotions, she thanked Kirby again for all of these acts of kindness he's given to her. "You're the best, pinky. Anyhow, I have an idea. I figure this would be good to make your visiting of me more worthwhile, and something to cherish more memories of. How about we go to the mall together for fun? As well as the ice cream factory? I know you're a big eater, I'd be willing to eat ice cream together with you!"
Kirby loved the idea and went all for it. "I would be glad to! Wait.. ice cream factory? I know there's a factory in this planet, but.."
"I gave that factory a makeover with the help of my Haltmann robots! It was terribly withered and damaged, and it needed reworking big time. So I decided to turn it into an ice cream factory! Hehehehe. Also, I gave some reworking to the mall. I was surprised how decent of a condition it was still in when I first saw it, and it looked largely beautiful, but there was still some issues here and there, and gave it some necessary polishing."
Even though the absence of Star Dream made it impossible to mechanize planets, Susie and her Haltmann robots were still able to rework existing infrastructures.
"I wanna go with you! Let's do it!" said Kirby as he happily agreed to go.
"Yay!" replied Susie. "This will be fun, I know it! Let's go, pinky!"
The two went to the factory first, as Susie rode on the warp star with Kirby to reach to it more quickly. Needless to say, the two had a great time eating ice cream together.
Then they went to the mall. Even after Susie's reworking of it, the mall still looked pretty similar to when Kirby visited it a long time ago. It gave him a sense of nostalgia. He didn't shop, but accompanying Susie throughout the mall still made her happy. She goes to the mall semi-frequently, but rarely does she go with someone organic, as the only other time she went to this mall with someone organic was with Ribbon a few months ago.
After a few hours of going to these places, Susie asked Kirby to use the warp star to get her back to the spaceship area. He did so. Kirby then decided, after a nice and wonderful long visit that it was finally time to go.
"I can't thank you enough for visiting me, little pinky. This whole experience was really therapeutic! I'll never forget this wonderful day." said the former secretary.
"I was happy to see you again. Anyways, I'm going to go home now. Bye!" said Kirby.
"Bye, Kirby!"
That visit was absolutely wonderful. Even if she didn't see him anywhere near as often as most of his other friends, Susie still held a special place in Kirby's friend list. Each and every one of them held a special place. Kirby just has wonderful friends, doesn't he?
Kirby finally comes home after being out all day. It was a long day, but it was a wonderful day that he just had!
It's night time. Not a lot of people seemed to be out right now, as it's late, so most people are likely to be asleep right now.
There were some waddle dees from seeable distance near his house. When he saw them, he waved at them, and they waved at him back. He also saw some bronto burts flying by, but they weren't looking at him so he didn't get the chance to wave at them.
He became tired as soon as he got back.
He thinks it's about time to go to sleep.
But before he goes to sleep, he thought about Magolor, Taranza, Marx and Susie again. He was all really happy to see them all again, and he was glad to make their day. Of course, he sees Magolor pretty often already, but he was always someone fun to visit. The pink hero was delighted to see the other three again after not doing so for some time.
Of course, he'd be willing to visit his other friends and offer them hugs too. But he'll do that some other time. He just considered those four friends in particular to be special, because all four of them had especially invaluable contributions during the Void Termina incident and his picnic with them was something to never forget.
And this day that he saw them all and hugged them all was also a day that he'll never, ever, forget either. He cares about them, and they've shown to care about him back. Magolor and Marx are hilarious. It was therapeutic for both Susie and Taranza to have been visited by Kirby today, as they're both still trying to recover from their lost loved ones.
Kirby has always been such a compassionate soul. Even with many of the people that have antagonized him in the past, he was still willing to see the good in a lot of them. And his pureness was enough to make a lot of them repent and make up with him. One could easily say that Taranza's remark about Kirby being too good for this universe isn't wrong at all. This universe is genuinely lucky to have Kirby.
Kirby finally goes to bed. He's bound to get some real good night sleep, enough to where he might just end up waking later than usual tomorrow, but it'd be worth it, because of the amazing day he just had.
Good night, Kirby!
