Request: Sweet fluff for Aqua and a male S/O

Kudou tapped his foot along the wooden floor, struggling to stay focused on the reading material in front of him. The sound echoed in the vast, otherwise silent, library and he let out a long breath, putting his book down on the table in front of him.

"Bored already?" Aqua's calm voice brought his eyes up to see the playing smile on her lips as she kept her gaze on her studies.

He smiled back, even though she wasn't looking and leaned back in his seat. "Just a bit. Really sucks to have to waste the day studying. It looks like a nice day outside."

She chuckled softly. "Master did say this next exam will be harder than the last. Don't you think you need the extra study time?"

Kudou sighed, looking around the empty library. Both of them were hidden away in the corner at a round wooden table beside tall multi paned windows that showed the green hills and ponds just outside. It looked so warm and inviting, a soft breeze rustling the leaves on the trees and the occasional rabbit scurrying about.

"I'd rather be laying in the grass." Kudou gazed longingly out the window. "Wouldn't you?"

She looked up, joining his gaze towards the window. She hummed in agreement, before her eyes landed on him. "If I could join you, I would."

He blinked, darting his eyes to her to see the same playful, almost flirtatious smile on her lips. Over the last few months, a tension had begun to grow between the two of them. Fleeting touches, hands grazing the other during Keyblade training…all of it started out innocent enough, but Kudou slowly found himself falling for her. Even if Master Eraqus forbade any sort of romantic interactions between his trainees, Kudou and Aqua had brief moments here and there that proved that even rules couldn't keep them apart.

Kudou's hand slid across the table to hers, interlacing their fingers together. "I'd like that," he told her, his smile growing when he noticed the slightest warmth spreading to her cheeks.

She put down her book, glancing towards the closed doors at the entrance of the library, making sure that no one was coming. Looking back to their clasped hands, she brought them to her lips, planting a soft kiss to Kudou's knuckles.

"I want to make sure we can pass this exam," she whispered, eyes still fixated on their hands, watching his thumb caress her palm. "So we can finally become Masters and stop hiding away our feelings for each other."

Kudou felt the warmth spread to his own cheeks and he smiled lovingly. "I love how you can just say things like that," he told her with a breathy laugh.

She chuckled softly. "Well it's true, isn't it?" She brought her blue eyes to his, a tenderness in her gaze.

His heart fluttered as he slowly nodded and brought their clasped hands to his lips, kissing her knuckles as well. "Of course." He rested the back of her hand against his cheek, slipping his eyes shut as he took in her warmth for the short amount of time he had to enjoy it. "I'd do anything to be with you."

The distance between them closed as she met her lips with his. Kudou's breath hitched in surprise, but he quickly fell into synch, his free hand slipping behind her neck and fingers interlacing into her short hair. Her lips fit so perfectly against his and they moved together in unison. She sighed in his mouth, scooting her chair closer until their legs were touching. Kudou's hand, that had been holding hers, moved down to the small of her back, pulling her closer until she was in his lap.

Her hands cupped his face, sliding to his shoulders to keep herself steady. A whimper escaped her as he deepened the kiss, what began as something sweet turned passionate as both of them struggled to keep their hands from exploring.

She reluctantly broke the kiss, both of them breathless. "We should stop," she whispered, the desire in her voice not lost on Kudou.

"Probably," he mumbled, taking her lips back in his.

She kissed him back for just a moment, before pulling away once more, "Kudou, please, someone might see."

He swallowed thickly, forcing himself to take his hands back. "Someday we won't have to hide anymore," he said under his breath for both of their sakes, as she slowly got back into her own seat.

"Someday," she repeated, sending him a shy smile as she smoothed out her clothes and picked up her book again. "Unless you keep putting off your studies," she snidely remarked.

He scoffed, picking up your book as well. "Just you wait, I'll get a better score than you."

She hummed, "Doubtful." She giggled at the look he shot her. "But I do hope you pass." She met her eyes with his, both of them smiling sweetly at the other.

"I will, don't worry," he assured her, bringing his hand to hers once more in the center of the space between them.

She lightly squeezed his hand, keeping it in his grasp as they got back to their studies. Things would work out, they would be together… Someday.
