Hello! This fanfic is labled "Weekend in Wudang," which the location, of course, could only be the most sacred location of the Jade Palace itself. This fanfic shows Po and Shifu during their "meinian training" which means, "annual training," in Chinese. This "annual training" is meant to strengthen the bond between a master and his student, and it is most important.
Yet, not every day is peaceful at the palace, and this comes to light when a new suspicious person comes to light near the sacred grounds of the Pool of Sacred Tears.
I hope you enjoy this, and find this quite intresting! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a review!

Thursday, the day before the Mei Nian training, Po and his friends are training in the training hall.
"Master!" Po rushed down the stairs of the training hall and almost barreled into his master who was standing in the training hall courtyard, teaching Wing Chun to Monkey.
Shifu turned around and blinked at his erratic student, who bowed before him before bursting into a spout of words.
"Master, Master, come quickly," Po breathed. "Crane injured himself, it's really bad."
Shifu's gaze glinted, and he gave a swift nod as he followed his student into the training hall, with Monkey following close behind. Po led Shifu to where his friends were standing over the injured student, who was apparently moaning from a pain of dislocation.
Shifu came to his side and gently ran his hand over where Crane was motioning. Shifu stood in thought for a couple of moments, as if he was trying to capture the whole moment of the situation before he tended to it. His gaze was tense with worry, but Shifu eventually flicked his ear in relief.
"Ah, good, it's nothing serious," Shifu breathed out a sigh of relief, placing one hand under his student's back as he placed the other on top of his shoulder. The students all watched as Shifu calmly tried to fix Crane's shoulder dislocation. "Hold still, now, this is going to be painful." Shifu warned, giving his student a small glance as he, with a swift and powerful notion as if he had done this a million times, placed Crane's shoulder back into place and was followed by an exclaim of pain but then a sigh of relief from both student and the master.
"Wow," Mantis breathed. "That was neat, Master."
"Neat?" Crane was slightly shaking from the pain of the action. Crane blinked, knowing that Shifu had fixed him, but he was still slightly traumatized from the whole experience. "No, I think what you mean to say is painful." Crane let out a soft groan, but managed to mutter, "Thank you, Master."
Shifu dipped his head in common courtesy, although he was their teacher and would do anything for them. "Of course. It's nothing to stress over." Shifu himself remembered how many times that had happened to himself, and he remembered the times when he would have to fix that problem himself, rather than a friend or his master aiding with it. "How did this happen?"
Crane blinked. "We were just training and….and I fell in a weird way."
Shifu closed his eyes as if he was trying to calm himself. It was just from training, nothing more, nothing less. Thank goodness it wasn't anything other.
Shifu let out a soft sigh, grateful that everything had gone peacefully. Shifu helped his student sit up completely, and offered Crane a piece of advice before returning back to his other student's lesson.
"Rest for a few moments," Shifu told Crane, "then you will be able to return back to training."
"R-really?" Crane blinked, awestruck that he was just fuming with pain and now his master said he could return back to normal just like *that.* It really amazed the young student as he dipped his head towards his master. "Thank you, Master."
"Of course." Shifu just simply bowed and smiled in return, gently motioning his other student forward to continue the lesson. The students stayed in silence until Shifu and Monkey had left the training hall, then from there they began to talk amongst themselves.
"Do you FEEL any better?" Tigress raised an eye at Crane, who turned his head to gaze at her. Upon his gazing, Crane felt pain in his shoulder still, but he focused on his master's words of apparent future training in just a few moments.
"I mean, a little." Crane blinked. "But I'll be fine, like Master Shifu said."
Po glanced at Crane again, and thought to himself. Master Shifu seemed so calm, and I was so frightened for Crane all this time!
Po then suddenly felt a rush of admiration for his teacher, who could stay level-headed even in the most dire of circumstances (even if fixing up his student wasn't dire, per-say.) Po gently walked over to the doors and opened the doors to the training hall courtyard-to the outside. Po breathed in the air and watched as Monkey and Shifu trained together in a clash of the trained and the rather coming-out-of-untrained.
Tomorrow I'll be with Master Shifu pretty much the entire day, Po wondered. Then I can ask him anything.
Po took a soft breath and closed the doors opening the way to the outside, walking back inside the training hall and watched as Crane finally stood up and tried doing some soft Tai Chi forms.
Master Shifu would probably be proud of him if he saw him now, Po thought, with a soft smile. At least, I'm fairly sure.
Po walked over to Crane and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Are you feeling all right, now?"
"Eh, okay," Crane shrugged, or at least tried to, but let out a sharp wince of pain. "I'll be fine." There was a hint of annoyance in the student's tone, so Po decided to not ask any more questions for the time.
Po let out a soft sigh and helped to lead his friend into the center of the training hall for practice. Crane, apparently, just decided to practice some balance for the time being, which Po thought was a good idea for "warming up."
Po stood in a formation for a while, trying his best to steady himself, but eventually lost concentration and balance and was unsteady and uncoordinated. Po sighed as Tigress glanced at him for a moment, but she didn't say anything in reply, much to Po's relief.
Like today's training couldn't get any more annoying, Po gruffly thought, but he thought to himself and didn't speak anything out loud. Po was not doing so well and he wasn't so focused in training, but he shook it off and continued to try to focus. Po's thoughts eventually wandered onto the prospect of training tomorrow, and he was getting excited for it. He had felt like the past few weeks had gone by in a blitz, and with the Autumn Festival coming up soon, the palace was very busy, and that meant that Shifu himself was busy as well. Po felt like he hadn't gotten to spend as much time as he wanted to with Shifu to go over selective things and to just get the time to be with him for once, and in that he was looking forward to.
As soon as the training was done for the day, Po went into his chamber and began going over some scrolls on his desk, to improve his reading and learn more about the master's history. Po thought he knew a lot before he came to the Jade Palace, but when Shifu began telling him things he had never even known….then he realized that in Shifu's eyes he was just a slight novice.
Is this what Master Shifu feels like? Po blinked as he continued writing and reading over the scrolls. At that particular moment, he felt like a grandmaster in that instance, but something inside him told him that Shifu probably was more stressed than he was.
Po let out a soft sigh as he closed up the scroll, finally finished with his reading for the day. He was mildly amused that his friends hadn't come bounding into the chambers quite yet, but then he also remembered that they decided to keep on training in the courtyard for a while longer before joining Po. He was relieved to have some peace and quiet, at best.
