"Have you heard from your friend yet?" I questioned Brandon.
"Eliza's friend's friend. No."
"Okay, but you've read it though, right?" He questioned.
"I mean, it's pretty straightforward." Brandon pointed out.
"On the face. But there's language in there that I'm not familiar with. I need a pre-nup expert."
I looked away.
"The real question is why you have to sign anything at all. Doesn't Jamie trust you?"
"No. It's his Dad. He didn't even know about this until he sprung it on me."
"Why is he springing it on you days before you're supposed to get married?" He inquired.
"Unless he doesn't want you to have another Lawyer look at it."
"I really- I can't handle conspiracy theories right now. Um..."
My phone rang.
"I have to take this."
It was a call from my boss.
Brandon walked out of the room.
"Hey. What's up? Uh... I mean, yeah. I'd love to but I'm, uh... I'm getting married. Could it wait a couple weeks?"
Brandon
Eliza and me walked into the Pop Century Resort along with Mariana and Evan.
"Welcome to Pop Century, sir." A male staff worker told Jesus.
"Thank you." Lena said.
"Listen. We're here at Pop Century in Disneyworld. Alright? I will, uh... Get you the number, uh... Later." Mom told Corey.
"Look. Look at that sign." Eliza told me.
It said
"Welcome
To the Wedding of
Callie
Jamie
July 10th."
"Callie and Jamie."
"It's crazy."
"Wow!"
Jesus screamed.
Emma, Eliza, Mariana, and me laughed.
Jude and Carter walked in together.
"Is your Mom treating you well?" Lena questioned.
"Yes. She's nice. She has an X-Box."
"Whoa! You must be in Heaven!"
"We wish you were here."
"Yeah. Maybe we'll bring you here to celebrate your Sister's adoption?"
"That would be awesome."
"We'll call later to say good night."
"Everybody say goodnight to Corey!" Mom instructed.
"Bye, Corey." We all said.
"See you later. Miss you all."
She hung up.
Stef
"He seems okay, right?"
"Mm-hmm. Yeah."
"What?"
"I just think we need to be a little careful about making promises we might not be able to keep."
"Well, nobody is gonna take her away from us."
Callie
"I'm feeling bad about this destination Wedding." I told Stef and Lena.
"Don't be silly."
"Gram can't come because of Grandpa. And Gramma can't fly because of her knee surgery. And Donald's not coming until tomorrow."
"Yeah, but we're all here." Eliza pointed out.
"Yeah." Mariana agreed.
"It's gonna be great."
"We're gonna have fun."
"Relax."
"Yes, yes, yes."
"Loosen up. We're on the Island now."
"Okay."
Stef laughed.
"Alright. Yeah, I know."
Jamie
I walked into the lobby.
"Welcome, everyone."
"Hey!"
"Hey. How are you?"
Callie and me hugged.
"Hi!" Stef greeted.
"These are my friends and other Groomsmen, Asher and Jay."
"Nice to meet you."
"And then, these are Callie's Moms, Stef and Lena."
Callie handed them the corsages.
"Her brothers, Brandon, Jesus, and Jude."
She handed them the corsages.
"And these are Callie's Sisters, Mariana and Sophia."
Callie handed them the corsages.
"Welcome to Paradise." Asher told Mariana.
"After the rehearsal Dinner tonight, we're gonna do a little impromptu bachelor party." Jay informed Brandon, Jesus, and Jude.
"Ooh. That sounds like fun." Jude commented.
"Great." Brandon commented.
"Mmm. Wait a second. If the boys are doing a bachelor party, that means we have got to have a bachelorette party." Mariana pointed out.
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Fine. We're gonna make it a surprise then."
"You just told me."
Jesus, Jude, and Eliza laughed.
"So, once everyone's settled into their rooms, my parents are having a little welcome Lunch in the Seaside Beach Cabana."
Stef
"Hmm. Welcome Lunch. Wonder if they're going to actually let us host the Rehearsal Dinner tonight?"
"Of course they will."
"They wouldn't let us marry them. Obviously, they want us to have nothing to do with this Wedding."
"Would you try to behave yourself, please?"
"I don't know what you're talking about. I always behave myself."
Evan
"I'll be there." Mariana told Asher.
"I think we're all gonna be there."
Jamie
"So, this goes to my room. It's under Callie Adams Foster."
The worker nodded his head.
"Thank you so much."
"You're welcome."
"You brought your computer?" I questioned.
"Uh... Yeah. Yeah. I got a call about, uh... Doing this short case right before I left."
"So, you're gonna be working over our Wedding and honeymoon?"
"No. Just at night, you know. Like, when you're asleep."
"Well, why can't you just do it when we get back?"
"Well, it's got to be ready in, like, two weeks for the Venice Trial. Hey. Look. I promise it won't take any attention away from you or the Wedding. Okay?"
"Okay."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"Oh. Hey, sir. Actually, um... We've got to be delicate with this. I- I'll just take it myself. Totally fine. Thank you so much. Thank you."
Callie slung her computer bag over her shoulder.
