"This was taken during Callie's Twilight Vampire phase."
Callie and Jamie laughed.
"And this was a bad hair phase."
Lena set up her phone, so that Corey could watch.
"This is her current very happy phase."
It was pics of Callie and Jamie together.
"Jamie, you came into our daughter's life after a rather dark period. And you have lit her up like we've never seen before."
"As you can see, Callie and Jamie had something in common right from the very start- Brown hair."
Diane laughed.
"And it didn't stop there. They both enjoyed playing dress-up."
Stef laughed.
"Lawyering, of course."
It was a pic of Callie and Jamie in their suits.
"And they both enjoyed sticking out their tongues."
"Yeah."
"Boating. Yes, boating."
"Look at these."
"And posing with strange statues."
"Very strange."
"And spending a lot of time with their mothers."
It was a pic of Callie in between Stef and Lena.
There was also a pic of Callie and Colleen.
Diane gasped.
"That- That's your birth Mom?"
"Yeah. That- That's Colleen."
"You look so much like her."
"Thanks."
"So, where is Colleen?"
She looked down.
"I mean, your Dad is here. Both of them."
Jamie snickered.
"So, I have to assume you have one."
"Not anymore." Callie answered.
"I'm sorry for your loss."
"I'm sure you are."

Callie quieted down.
"Uh... I think it's pretty clear that it was meant to be."
Mariana smiled.
"Jamie, thank you for loving our daughter and we wanna welcome you to our family."
Everybody laughed.

"Well, we certainly can't compete with that lovely slideshow." Diane commented.
"Hmm." Jim agreed.
"Stef and Lena, than you so very much."
"Yes, thank you."
They stood up.
"So, we, uh... We'll keep this brief. Which means I'll do the talking. Uh..."
He laughed.
"Callie... You're a fine young woman. Our beloved and oldest son made a good choice. However, if you ever hurt him, I'll kill ya."
Everybody laughed.
"Now, that said, uh... We would like to present our Wedding gift to you tonight."
Jim pulled something out of his pocket.
"Heads up." He warned.
Callie caught a pair of keys.
"What are these?"
"Those are keys to your very own condo in Washington D.C. Three bedrooms, two baths, and just blocks from the beach. All you have to cover are the HOA fees, property taxes, and insurance."
"Oh, and of course, we'll help you furnish it. We just wanted you two to choose all that yourselves."
Jamie
"Wow." Stef commented.
I got out of my seat.
"Oh, my God. Thank you."
I hugged Mom and Dad.
Jude
"Okay. If you don't marry the brother, I will." Mariana whispered to me.
Carter and me smiled at each other.
Callie
"Wow."
Diane and me hugged.
Robert
"Oh. Also, we arranged for a little entertainment. I... I hope that's okay?"
Drums were played.
We clapped rhythmically.
There was a guy twirling flaming batons.
There was also a guy eating fire.
Brandon
I was getting food.
Jamie joined me.
"Hey."
I brushed a curl of hair out of my face.
"Callie told me that you're looking over the pre-nup. And I just wanted to let you know it wasn't my idea."
Jude
I got up from the table.
Jamie
"It's really not a big deal. At all."
"Well, maybe not to you. But..."
"What?"
"I just... I wonder if you've thought about how it makes Callie feel?" I pointed out.
"Your parents obviously don't trust her. And you're not really doing anything about it."
"No. I'm happy to tell them that... She's not gonna sign it. But, you know, she doesn't want me to."
"I'm just trying to protect my Sister."
"Your Sister."
"So, how do you think they eat the fire without burning their throats?Hmm?" Eliza questioned, joining us.
Brandon grinned.
Jude
The Bartender gave me a Beer:
"Thank you."
"Mm-hmm."
Stef
Lena and me joined Jude at the Bar.
"Oh, so, we're drinking now?" I questioned.
"I'm only having one Beer..."
"Mm-hmm."
"And the drinking age is 18 here."
"You alright, Sweetheart?" She questioned.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Why?"
Callie
I walked over to the Bar where Stef and Lena were.
"Hey. I just wanted to say thank you so much for this incredible party and the slideshow. It was really sweet."
I chuckled.
"You both must have worked really hard on that."
"It can't compare to a condo." Stef commented.
"You're welcome, Sweetheart." Lena told me.
"Look. Just make sure that you are clear on any strings attached. Okay?" Stef told me.
"Yes. Do you remember when my parents gave us the down payment for the old house."
I nodded my head.
"And later on, there was a misunderstanding about whether it was a gift or a loan. Just be careful."
I nodded my head again.
Robert
"Hey. Can we have your attention please?"
It was Mariana and Mat.
"Callie, Jamie asked us to sing something that you helped write. Which took a lot of thinking since we didn't want to embarrass you."
Everybody laughed.
"I'm just-- I'm just kidding."
Brandon
"What were you and my brother talking about? The pre-nup?" Eliza questioned.
I looked down.
"You know about that?"
"Tell her not to sign it."
"Have you read it?"
"No. But I know my Dad. And I'm sure it's not entirely fair to Callie."
Robert
"So, we're gonna sing a song that she inspired."
Brandon
"Thanks."
I sighed.
I looked away.
Robert
"Callie, you're not only my Sister. You're the most talented Lawyer I know. So, this one's for you."
Mat started strumming his guitar.

"And I admit I'm about to fall." She sang.

I glanced across the table at Brandon.

"You think you could maybe sing with me?"
"Uh... No. I-- I'm--"
"Come on. Please."
"Mmm."
Brandon chuckled.
He began playing the Piano.
