Brandon

I knocked on Callie's door.

She opened the door.

Callie

"Have you talked to Jamie yet?"

I shook my head.

I leaned back in the armchair I was sitting in.

"You're getting married in a few hours."

"I don't know what to say."

"Look, I'm not... A relationship expert. Seeing as how I've blown up every one I've ever had. But I do know that when you do something to hurt the person you love, it's really hard to take it back. I've seen the way you look at Jamie. I know that look. You love him. So, just talk to him."

Brandon stood up.

"Hey. Hey."

I stood up.

"Thank you."

"Yeah."

We hugged.

Jamie

I saw Callie and Brandon hugging.

I stood with my arms crossed.

He walked out.

Callie

I noticed Jamie standing at the glass sliding door.

He walked in.

"Why didn't you tell me about him?"

"It was before I was adopted."

"Do you still love him? Is that why you're suddenly acting so strange?"

"He has nothing to do with how I'm feeling."

"How are you feeling?"

Jamie shook his head.

"Are you having doubts?"

I didn't answer.

"Are we still getting married?"

I didn't answer.

"Callie... Are we still getting married?"

"I just--"

He stared at me.

Jamie walked out.

Brandon

I got in bed next to Eliza.

"Are you awake?"

She didn't answer.

"I know you're awake. I know how you breathe when you're asleep."

"How do I breathe when I'm asleep?"

"With your mouth open. Kinda throaty."

"Hey. Well, you snore."

"Do not."

"Do so."

"Speaking of sleep, we should probably get some before this Wedding."

"Is there even gonna be a Wedding?"

"Why do you say that?"

"I'm not blind. I know there's trouble in paradise. Not that you'd confide in me."

"Did you tell Jamie about me and Callie?"

"Wait. Jamie knows about you and Callie? Is that what's going on?"

"Did you tell him?"

"No. Of course not."

"Are you sure? How else would he have found out?"

"I don't know. It wasn't me!"

"Well, it wasn't Callie and no one else knows."

"I guess you really don't trust me."

Eliza got up out of bed.

She grabbed her pillow.

"Where are you going?"

"To sleep on the couch."

Callie

Next morning

I was sitting on the dock.

"Hey, hey!" It was Dad.

He sat next to me.

"Hey."

Dad wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"You're here."

"Yeah. I just got in from the Gym."

He looked out at the Ocean.

"Wow! You're up early."

"Yeah. I-- I never went to bed actually."

"You okay?"

"I'm freaking out, Dad."

He chuckled.

"Aw."

Dad kissed my head.

"Aw. What's freaking you out?"

"I guess I'm-- I'm... Scared if I marry Jamie that... I'm not gonna be able to do what I wanna do, you know? And-- And I'm just gonna feel... Pressure from him and his parents to... Work harder and-- You know, make more money. And-- And I don't even know if he supports me. And-- And so I'm just gonna end up..."

"What? Take care of him and not yourself?"

I nodded my head.

"Look, Cal, the only person that can keep you from achieving what you want in life is you. So, if you can't trust yourself to stand up to Jamie and his parents, then maybe you're not mature enough to be getting married."

I looked over at him.

"I don't want to lose him."

"Well, then you're gonna have to grow up pretty fast. Cause the only way you can have him, is to choose yourself. If you can do that. But if you can't... You might have to call it off."

I looked away from Dad.

Jamie

There was a knock on my door.

I opened the door.

It was Callie.

Jim

Jamie and Callie appeared.

"There. I love your son and I will sign anything to prove that to you. I also want you to know that I plan to work my ass off to succeed as a Lawyer and I will. But it might take some time. And I don't want to feel like there's some ticking clock."

She turned to him.

"And I need your support on that."

"I want you to do what you're passionate about. Whether you're getting paid or not. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too."

"I love you."

"I love you."

They kissed.

"Mom... Dad... Callie's Moms are gonna marry us in front of Cinderella's Castle. Like we wanted."

"And my Bridesmaids are gonna wear dresses that aren't so uptight. No offense, Diane."

She shook her head.

"And there's one more thing."

Jamie picked the pre-nup up.

He tore it in half.

"Jamie!"

"I trust Callie. And if you guys don't... Then you can take me out of the will."

Jamie placed the torn pre-nup on the table.

We looked at each other.
