Josette is facing up the empty ceiling as her mind is blurred about the reality that she met the dark prince himself which Mr. Watson and Pietro had claimed who he was.

If Vlad really is the prince of Romania why did he have to pretend to be a doctor and for what business did he do that?

Why he must lie and why he must lie to her. Or she is being stupid and the prince realizes she is. "Damn!"

"Oh Josette since when you started cursing". asked her mother who suddenly entered her room and sat at the edge of the bed. Smiling. "What's bothering you today my daughter".

She leaned on the bed, "I've been lying!"

"By whom? Pietro".

"No. Not him why you think of that". her mother shrugged, "It wasn't him who lied to me, mother there was a man I bumped into (sigh) I really don't understand where I need to start".

Her mother smiled, said. "Which man have you met?"

"He acts like a normal person. He says he is a doctor who finds the cures for his patient and that's why he travels here from England and then suddenly I found out it was a lied".

"And you being so unpredictable to believe the man. And call yourself stupid because of that".

Josette nodded, "Where should I put my face then? He was... should I say that he was a prince rather than a doctor? I should get away from him as Pietro asked me to".

"Oh that boy! He's over protective over you and I don't blame him for what he does". exhaled, getting up from bed. "It's late, Josette sleep and goodnight". her mother shut the door behind, she continued facing up the ceiling.

Beatrice walked to the room where her husband laid on the bed half asleep, sliding beside him under the bed cover and sighing.

She turned to him. "Are you awake?"

"I am". he said without opening his eyes. "How is she?"

"Facing up the ceiling and cursing".

His eyes open, "What might she say that?" Beatrice shrugs. "I hear from Watson that she might be seeing the prince herself".

"That is what she told me earlier, she did meet him. How suddenly the prince tried to get to know her, Albot he's the prince, not a farmer or one of the villagers' sons, poor people like us he won't".

The husband sighs harder, said. "I might think all those sacked for us are coming from Him".

"You think the prince gave that sack? why".

"We need to stop this, Thomas or the prince I was aware of and more afraid of the prince than Thomas. You know what the prince can do to our daughter, look how far all the young girls in this village are found alive".

She noticed, "The villagers know his dirty secret, Beatrice and I don't want my daughter to be part of him. He will never get enough with one girl. I died to protect my daughter Josette".

"Why must the prince be so interested in her like this? Approaching her and introducing himself as a doctor. A fake doctor!"

"I don't know, Beatrice I tell you she must have something that caught his eyes that he personally fell for her immediately. I guess that makes him think of that".

"Then what should we do?"

The husband sighs again, slips under the cover again. "If I must do something to protect her I will ask Pietro to take her somewhere else, away from here. Anyway I don't care where the prince couldn't find her".

"Do you think our daughter who dropped out from the university had connected to him, Albot?".

"I guess. Yes, the prince must do something to her so then he can see her in here everyday. Just think how it is possible that all the universities rejected her for unreasonable reasons, she got high scores for that. Beatrice even beat her friends in exams. She qualified!"

The wife nodded and he spoke back. "Brave he was without the soldiers around him, doesn't he know what will the villagers do to him if they find out".

"Should we marry our daughter to Pietro? I mean he loves her since he just can't say it".

"And move on?" asked Albot. Beatrice nods. "First Thomas and now the prince but we cannot force our daughter into the marriage she doesn't like too, we try something else to keep her away from the prince as we two lived we try".

Both Albot and Beatrice sigh harder, now they cannot go to sleep as their minds are messing around and trying to protect the only daughter they had from Vlad that they will risk their life for.

What should they do to protect Josette. "Impossible for the marriage but I think is the better thing to do for Josette".

"That means we can do this, Albot and what about Josette feeling then? we have to break her heart again". said the wife.

"We let them go first, Beatrice after a day of their marriage we follow. Move out from Romania".

"Where should we go then?"

He shook head. "I don't know. I want to keep my daughter safe. We figure it out later as long as we have nothing to do with the prince".

"You think she will do it for us, Albot?"

"We try. If she doesn't we will take this chance by yourself and move far away from here, tomorrow we will discuss. And now we must sleep, Beatrice''.

She laid flat on the bed, and so did her husband. She smiled a little, said. "I hope she understands why we are doing this for her". the husband nodded. "Our precious Josette". she cried.

The next day, Vlad comes down from the castle to market to meet her again.

He had found her standing at the counter talking with her patient. For him, Josette still didn't know who he was and as for Josette, she knew who he was.

Vlad smiles as he enters the pharmacy to greet her at the counter.

"Miss Marguerite?" he bow, she turned from her patient to Vlad, her smile suddenly faded away soon she saw him in here. "We meet again".

She turned back to her patient. "Remember my advice about your illness". said Josette to her patient.

Vlad watch the patient nod then walking out from the pharmacy, she didn't greet him as she said this.

"What are you doing here?"

Chuckle, "I came to see Mr. Watson so I want to see you too". Vlad noticed she did back away from him for no reason. He tried to act like he didn't see that. "Is Mr. Watson here?"

"No". She suddenly bowed to him, which made Vlad shocked to see what she did. She said, "My lord".

Vlad stares at her with a confused facial face. He spoke. "Why do you bow to me like that and why are you calling me your 'lord'?" Josette looked up at him, said.

"Because that is who you are, my lord. You are not a doctor but you are the Prince Vlad of Romania".

"Why must you say that to me? how many times I must say that I am not the prince".

There, she spoke back. "Is what you were born for".

"I'm a doctor not a prince. Should I remind you that like your friend Mr. Watson". he smiled.

"Don't need that. I don't want to be rude but how dare you!" She stepped forward. "Liar!" as her eyes studied his black eyes. "I had enough of your lie my lord. Please stay away from me".

Vlad's heart beating fast after she said that to him to stay away from her. He couldn't take this word, he couldn't bear to hear this word from her lips. Vlad covers both of his ears, shaking his head and backing away from her.

She noticed. "What is wrong my lord? can't take orders from poor people like me. I say... stay away from me!"

His eyes back to hers. "NO! No. Who told you that?" take another step to her. "Who told you that!"

"No one my lord. I figured it out by myself and I know you are. I don't want to hear anything from you, we are not friends and I am your people that there is nothing special between us".

"Please! Do not say that. Our meeting was the best thing that happened in my life. Humble me I do apologize that I lied to you I didn't try to hurt you or anything I just want to know you better... Please..."

Josette shook her head no, he cried. "Please I do not wish to be apart from you. Hear me out, you're the only thing I have".

"And what about me my lord? What I've got from you is lies and more lies. When will you stop?"

He didn't say anything to backing up his answer. "This is not the end yet Miss Marguerite. Please let me explain".

She completely ignored him and went back to the counter as another patient walked in and met her for the medical prescription.

Vlad gently backed away. Arthur was right all along when the time came, when the truth was revealed. She will hate him and he will be forgotten from her memory.

NO! I will not let this happen!

Without his notice, Josette walked past him from the pharmacy. He had followed her from behind. She is not talking with him and knows he was right behind her.

As they reach around the corner to silence the crowd, Vlad roughly grabs her arm from behind. Demanding there is no way she will run away from him like this.

She must know that he will find her no matter what she tries to hide. "Let go of me!" he leaned closer to her.

"I demand you take your word back!"

"You hurt my arm!" she screamed. "I will scream that you are here with me. There will be a consequence my lord, you are alone and the whole villagers know you kill those women you sleep with!"

Vlad is now dragging her to somewhere where no one will hear her scream or letting them know their Prince is here with this woman he had fallen for the first time they met.

Those days were special. He pushed her on the brick wall, her back in pain as her eyes met him.

"You know me now, Miss Marguerite, what should I do to you then? Yes, I am the Prince Vlad of Romania that my heart belongs to you since we first met, you don't see me there".

"What are you talking about? Let me GO!" she tries to push him but ends up leant her back on the same brick wall again. "Are you crazy!"

Smirking, "Yes! I am". his eyes turn red. "I am crazy about you that I couldn't sleep, I couldn't think probably because of you!"

"You need medication my lord. Please... you are not in a state of mind".

"Afraid of my love? I need you to fulfill me".

Before Vlad could kiss her on the lips, there were pairs of strong hands grabbing her arm and bringing her to run from Vlad.

He try to catch her but seems he will expose himself toward his people, he will not chase her behind. Vlad stares for a while, about in second Vlad makes his own move back to the castle before anybody could see him.

The person who caught Josette's arm is Pietro. His heart tells him there must be something going on with her since he saw her walk hurriedly out from the pharmacy.

And she followed. Knowing the man was. Pietro followed her.

"Pietro?"

"I saw everything". he brought her somewhere he used to hang out alone. Not even Josette knows this place. "Are you insane, Josette, you know who he was!"

"I know! and thank you for saving my life from the Prince".

Pietro scoffs, said. "Now you believe me. I was told you do not trust anyone who is not familiar from our very own eyes. Did he hurt you?"

"Almost before you grab my arm. I was so fooled and I.. I thought he was a nice young gentleman who I believe... he lied to me, Pietro".

"He lied to everyone before and you fell for him because of his charming face, wise words, and clean suit. He almost blew his own disguise too, that's why he is not chasing us in here".

She breathed heavily, sitting on the unfinished brick wall. Her mind is messed up. He spoke.

"I have spoken. He will not stop, Josette, he could kill me too. There is a reason why he is doing this because he wanted you all that. He wants you to be his princess and rules this Romania. I have said he will come back for you".

"Then will it be the end?" she cried. "I can't live like this under his grip".

Pietro shook his head, taking a seat beside her. "I heard this from your parents, which I will not say yet. You will hear from them and right now you are safe with me".

"You sound ridiculous, Pietro, are you under medication or maybe you need one".

He smile, said. "Yes I am". he lied. He knows the truth about the marriage which her parents already told him. He will not let Vlad hurt her.

"Josette. If I die, remember that I will always love you. And I will never stop loving you".

"What?"

He smiled again, "Just remember that. No matter what will happen to you even after my death. I will always be there for you my Josette".
