Yet another fanfic exchange fic in the Saturday Morning Invasion Discord server, this time under LG Shala's The Silent Heroes. This fic is meant to take place before the story as another day doing missions out in the Darklands for Shala. With that said, let's get into it.

Tetrax Shard, for his large and imposing nature, the Petrosapien seemed to be rather jovial at the conversation that he was having with one LG Shala. Shala himself had a calm smile on his face as he fell into step with him as they made their way through the winding halls of the Mandark Industries airship.

"I am greatly impressed with your latest mission, Shala." Tetrax grinned at the young man walking beside him. "Not only were you able to set up the Fusion Beacon in the Firepits, but you also managed to relay our message to the SACT base here in the Darklands!"

Shala chuckled, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. "Come on, Tetrax. It was nothing."

But the Petrosapien simply laughed. "Come on, now. There's no need to be so modest. I'm sure that it was no easy feat."

Shala just continued to chuckle. But Tetrax had been right. Not only had he needed to warp his way into the Infected Zone and place a beacon for Tetrax, but as soon as it lit up, it seemed that the Freakasuarus Rexes immediately knew that he was there. It made for a very eventful shootout that ultimately left both him and his nanos exhausted. From there, he had stumbled his way to the Providence base where he forgot about his mission, took a nap and only barely remembered that he was supposed to give Lieutenant Steel a message. While a Monkey Skyway was glaring at him to hurry up so that he could do more rides, Shala quickly scrawled out the message on a piece of paper and gave it to the nearest agent who happened to be a brunette with a gaptooth that looked oddly familiar to him who agreed to give it to his commanding officer before he hopped on a Monkey Skyway and returned to the airship for more rest.

He wasn't entirely sure that the guy was going to do it but from Tetrax's good mood, it seemed that he did meaning that he had managed to get that task done completely on accident.

"Everything you've been asked to do this week has been perfect. And I'm proud of you for that." Tetrax smiled. "However, there is just one task that you still need to complete."

Shala was confused at this. "Oh yeah, and what's that?"

At that, the two of them stopped in front of a door that was all too familiar to the both of them and immediately Shala's blood ran cold.

Without another word, it slid open to reveal a messy room with weapons and discarded inventions scattered across the floor. Among the mess were also schematics for various Dexlabs projects in varying stages of being crumbled and various food containers that weren't entirely empty. And the smell… Great Reaper below, the smell… Both of them recoiled as it wafted out into the hallway.

"Clean your room." The Petrosapien demanded to which his very body seemed to gain and extra ominous sheen in the light while his eyes gave an intent, menacing glow.

Shala chuckled again, this time a lot more awkwardly. "Uh… You must be confused, Tetrax because this isn't my room."

The Petrosapien's left eye seemed to twitch up as if he were raising an eyebrow. "Really?'

"Yep. Pretty sure this one belongs to Macy. So… Let me just get her and let her know that she needs to…"

"Shala, please." Tetrax groaned.

Without another word, he slammed a fist against the wall, causing a door at the end of the room to tip open and out came a ridiculous number of soda cans from out of the closet. All of them with the familiar red branding of Radicola.

"Come on… Other people on this ship drink Radicola. That could be any-"

"Clean." Tetrax demanded.

Shala slumped and sighed. "Okay…"

With that, Tetrax pushed Shala into his room and left as quickly as he could so that he wouldn't have to smell it anymore.

Shala now stood in his room for a few minutes. Doing his best to cover his nose as he waited. When he felt the coast was clear, he decided to slip out of the room only to come face to face with none other than a Mandroid.

The Mandroid took a peek over Shala's shoulder and immediately grabbed his arms. "Return to the domicile and sanitize it at once!"

"Are you kidding me, he sicked a Mandroid on me?!" Shala groaned.

"Yes. Now clean your room."

Shala sighed and returned to his room. He was getting ready to clean it when suddenly, a can of radicola looked incredibly interesting to him.

Why… It was so interesting that he picked it up and started tossing it around. He began to make a game out of it, tossing it up in the air, attempting to do tricks with it, and enjoying himself.

His room did not get any cleaner.

And then, just when he figured he could actually attempt to throw the can into the trash can, the entire ship rumbled and a red alarm started blaring.

Tetrax's voice boomed over the intercom. "Red alert! Red alert! This vessel is under attack, all soldiers to their battle stations!"

Shala grinned and was quick to grab his gun, finally some action! And a perfect excuse to get out of-

"Except for Shala. He needs to finish the upmost important task of cleaning his room."

Shala groaned and went back to sitting at his desk. This was going nowhere.

As the ship continued to rumble and shake and he heard the sounds of combat outside, things would eventually settle down and come back to normal. Cheers and a celebration was heard.

Shala attempted to sneak out to maybe get some more Radicola from the victory party only to get a glare from the same Mandroid stationed outside his room.

Shala groaned but went back into the room. But rather than clean it, he simply decided to scoop up one of the old schematics on the floor and began to examine it.

He lost track of time and quickly found himself drifting off to sleep.

When he awoke, he found that his nanocom was blinking. Quickly he opened it and was shocked to see that there were two from none other than Dexter himself.

He decided to open the first one.

Attention, LG Shala this is Dexter speaking! I am calling to inform you that I am expecting yoju to report to Tech Square at your earliest convenience to overlook an experiment that we are working on. We will discuss your pay afterwards.

Have a fine day for science!

Shala grinned. This was the perfect excuse to get away from cleaning now all he had to do was leave the room and…

Just as he was about to step out, he found Samurai Jack sitting in a meditative position outside of the room.

He didn't open his eyes but a calm smile was on his face. "Ah yes, good morning, Shala."

"Good morning, Jack…" Shala awkwardly waved at him only to remember that he didn't have his eyes open. Though knowing the samurai, he was sure somehow that he was able to tell that he had done so.

However, he continued to slowly tiptoe his way out of the room. "Anyway, I was just heading out so if you would just let me pass then-"

"But you have not finished cleaning your room." Jack noted.

"Well… True, but I've gotten an important message from Dexter and it is of the upmost importance that I head to Dexlabs at once. It's really sad, but it looks like I'll just have come back another time."

"Ah yes, I see. You have yet to read Dexter's second message. Have you?"

Shala was confused at this. But decided to take a look at the message.

Greetings again, LG Shala. I have been informed by the crew aboard the Mandark Airship that you are stuck cleaning your room. You are very stupid for allowing it to get to such a disastrous state! As such, we have agreed that this shall be registered as an official mission within your nanocom and that any other tasks will be denied to you until this is completed as cleanliness is of the upmost importance.

Good luck, and have a fine day for science!

Shala was flabbergasted at the message and went to check the mission section of his nanocom. Lo and behold, there was a mission labeled "Clean Your Room" with the description "Clean your room" with the deadpan face of Tetrax looking on from the mission giver icon.

Shala groaned but knew at this point that he didn't have a choice.

Jack stood up and from his hilt, he produced a broom which he handed to Shala.

The young man grumbled and returned to his room.
