Hello gentlemen and ladies.

So, I one idea I've tossed around yet never gotten written until now.

This is not a positive fic for Steve Rogers post-Endgame and not that generous towards Stark either.

On timeline wise is just a short while post the final scenes of Spider-Man No Way Home.

Inside an apartment

Wearing his Spider-Man suit, Peter stands there listening to an old man a white-haired man that is apparently, or rather once was Steve Rogers. The older Roger sets down a picture containing Peggy Carter on a table as he finishes his story for letting the entire world think he was dead.

Earlier had swung in stopping Rogers from ironically getting mugged while carrying groceries and helped the older man back here after finally putting the pieces together. The first Captain America might have gotten older, but still obvious given the man's slip-up by calling him Queens, since the only person he ever fought against, and alongside called him that.

"That's why. I decided to get a life for myself. Because of everything I lost" Steve says.

Scoffing "You gave up. I understand putting down the shield, after all, you thought from the second war on, but you left behind all your friends you made here in this time. I really hope Peggy didn't have a husband before since you probably erased him from existence" Spider-Man says in disgust.

"You don't get to judge me, you have no idea what it's like," Steve says yet gets cut off.

"Like I haven't felt loss? You think I go out because I like getting shot at, sliced, burnt, and having cars thrown at me? Justify it however you want Rogers, but you gave up. I get you lost Natasha and Tony despite how the world might be better off for the second one" Peter says bitterly.

"What are you even getting at?" Steve asks.

"Tony built EDITH a program that could hack into nearly any computer, kill or destroy anything on earth at a moment's notice from satellites linked to a pair of glasses that controlled. That's what went down in London, where I had my life ruined after Beck got ahold of them" Peter says bitterly "I've had my life turned upside down ever since I got dragged into your Avengers mess."

"So, you blame us?" Steve asks briskly.

"We're getting off-topic, you left Wanda Maximoff, Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, and all the rest. Yeah, sure I keep my distance and have no clue where to find them but after everything went down, I'm sure they could have used your support" Peter says.

"I just wanted something to myself, you wouldn't understand. You're just a kid" Steve says.

"Anything that was a kid died when," Peter says grimly yet halting upon remembering Aunt May being murdered, or the cost for saving the multiverse by erasing himself from existence "or what I've had to lose. I know far too much about loss… but I didn't quit."

"Is that what this is about? You are upset that you staying in? Trying to prove something to the rest of us Avengers?" Steve asks.

"Not sure there's much of Avengers left, not like what remains cared to help me when I needed it. Besides I don't have to prove anything. I'm not out there for glory, I'm just out there to stop the next mugging, the next drug deal, vehicle wreck, or suicide. Excuse me Brooklyn" Peter says, "I've got to get back to work."

Steve Rogers merely watches as Spider-Man turns around heading for a nearby window which he opens before swinging out into the snowy New York City.

Hope you all enjoyed this and let me know what you think. Flamers won't be tolerated.

After watching Spider-Man NWH really shows how Peter is stronger than Stark or Rogers.

Iron Man gave in to his worst impulses after trying to repeatedly murder Bucky in cold blood after Steve tried to get him to stop despite how Bucky was brainwashed into being an assassin.

Tom's Peter backed down when Toby's version stopped him, and cured Norman of being the Goblin.

Why better than Steve Rogers? Despite everybody he knew losing memories of Peter Parker even existing becoming the ultimate outcast and May getting murdered did that even slow him down for a minute? Did Peter decide to quit and become a part of some toxic relationship? No Peter merely got back on his feet, gave advice to Happy for not giving up, and reinvented being Spider-Man by going back to basics while continuing on.

Frankly that's what I think of Peter's as a precious little snowflake needing protection from both Steve and Tony fans is bullcrap.

Until next time.
