Star Wars: Jedi becoming the Sith Lord
Exar Kun is a young, proud Jedi who is very goal-oriented, the question is, will he not lose himself on the way? I invite you to read! the core of Exar Kun's story is very intresting.
My interpretation of the Star Wars comic book series. My main source is Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi - Dark Lords of the Sith - a comic book written by Tom Veitch and Kevin J. Anderson. I absolutely love the characters in this comic 3. The story of the comic, in my opinion, is simple to understand and epic at the same time. I'm very into legends(EU). The action takes place in the era of the old republic, which is about 4,000 years before the action in the movies. If anyone played kotor, kotorII, swotor games, that's my vibe. It is not necessary to know them.
English isn't my first laguage.
Chapter 1: Masters and Apprentices
On the green planet of Dantooine, you can feel the ocean breeze condensed in the wind. Among the rocky hills and cliffs, covered with grass and here and there single trees, a young Jedi walks with a slightly accelerated step. He has long jet black hair tied with a leather thong that waves gently in the wind. Every once in a while, he discreetly looks around with a penetrating gaze. After a few minutes, he reaches the slightly separated smaller Jedi camp and stops just outside a domed, modest-walled cottage with a green flag fluttering at the entrance. He extends his hand in a gesture of force and steps inside.
The interior is simple, except for the mosaic dome crowning the whole. Along the walls are shelves with a lot of books and old objects. With a slight irritation, he runs his finger over the titles of the book covers.
- Old Jedi, not ... lightsaber forms ... - Suddenly his voice breaks off as he notices the golden flash reflecting the light from the skylight of the dome. On the bookcase is a device that differs in shape but is similar in mechanism to the classic cubic holocron. He instantly grabs it with power and watches it. It is a holographic projector for power users in the shape of a regular pyramid, which is heavily gnawed by time. The young man grips the gold edges, examining the sharp-looking carved letter in a dialect probably unfamiliar to him. He sighs slightly and focuses his power to replay the message from the holocron, but nothing happens, and he tries and tries again until he exclaims in frustration.
- By the ancient Jedi, what the Sith is this! - He is about to throw the holocron to the ground when suddenly the tops of the holocron slowly twist and the inscriptions begin to glow like a lightsaber. A red flash is reflected in his bright grey eyes wide open. In the video, he sees a middle-aged man in a crimson-purple robe sitting on a kind of throne.
- Master Sadow, the battleships are on full alert. -Says the dark-robed figure in a low bow. The Dark Lord raises his right hand in response. The Jedi youth notices in the video that Naga Sadow is wearing a metal gauntlet with a crimson gemstone on the end. The Sith
-Okay, burn our and enemy ships between the suns of Denaria... It's time to remind the republic of what the power of the dark side is! - Lord replies firmly.
The next part shows a fierce battle between the three-winged, sleek, agile Jedi ships, and the massive oblong ships of the Sith. The black-haired knight watches the space battle in suspense. A ship of rushes in full shields is heading for a narrow pass between the suns. The gas flames of the stars pass from one star to another erratically, damaging the ships in the process. With Sadow's ship within the proper distance of the suns and the republic's ships in between, the Lord positioned himself by the bridge, stretched out his hands, one towards the sun on the right, the other towards the sun on the left. He flexed his fingers with all his strength, grabbing the force. Crimson energy began to emanate from his right gauntlet. The Denarri suns began to slide toward each other in the void. As they collided in a split second, the republic's ships disappeared in flames and the dark lord collapsed and the admiral gave the command to jump into hyperspace immediately, the lights flashed and the jump began. The dark lord, after the destruction of the entire star system, went into hiding.
-Fascinating! How is it possible to wield such power…- The message from the pointed holocron continued. The archivist's voice rang out.
- Not all lords were as pure as Naga Sadow. Freedon Nadd is an example of a lord who is not pure Sith blood, he was a Jedi who became an apprentice to the dark side and then reigned as the Dark Lord. There can only be one Sith Lord at a time. The lineage was passed down from generation to generation. Someone like Freedon Nadd explored uncharted systems before he encountered a world that could be dominated by the dark side.
- Olderon, My son, and why did the Jedi rogue arouse your interest, my best student? -The young man almost jumped the message was still playing in the background. A red, slightly stocky, short alien with large black and gold eyes stared at him with concern. The young Jedi wondered how long he could watch him there. -I must have been distracted that I didn't sense it coming, Exar kun thought, then replied.
-Master Vodo…I was…uh…just interested to see what was on that recording on your holocron! The young man returned to his usual confident tone.
– Curiosity can be useful, Exar Kun… But some teachings are too dangerous before you're ready. Then the conversation was interrupted by the rest of the recording
-Onderana's system has been a focus of the dark side for centuries...
- Turn it off. You've listened enough.-Vodo said firmly in a slightly annoyed voice.
-But master ... - The young man rolled his eyes slightly innocently.
- This is forgotten knowledge, only for the masters. I wish you would concentrate on the things I choose to teach you! With that, he turned off the Sith Holocron. The last hologram image the young Jedi saw was a luminous blue silhouette of a figure that began to shrink along with the hologram. After that, only the sound of the message closing was heard. -Vodo master turned redder than usual - thought Exar Kun. The Jedi Knight still held the device in his right hand, then reluctantly handed it back with a grimace.
- I don't understand, Master Vodo, why can't I learn about the Sith? I think you are underestimating my skills. I'm almost done with my lightsaber training. After thinking for a moment, Vodo replied.
- Jedi training never ends." If you had studied a few more years, maybe you could analyze the knowledge of the dark side. - Exar was about to protest, but his master quickly added. - Crado and Sylwar should be waiting for us... It's time to test your meager knowledge of the Jedi lightsaber.
After a dozen or so minute walk of the master and the student, not counting the sound of the sea and the strong wind from the cliff. Walking up the steep slopes, it felt as if the wind would tear passers-by apart, it was restless, just like Exar Kun's mind. Vodo supported himself with a wooden cane tied with thongs. The whistle was all-encompassing, the sun was going down, There was something beautiful about the sight, it gave Exar Kun a feeling of power. In the distance you could see old crumbling columns of dark sandstone and among them two Cathars in full training armour. Exar knew them well enough to know that they were both close. They too were disciples of the Vodo-Siosk-Baas master, but the proud disciple tended to shun them. Exar nodded slightly in greeting and donned his armor consisting of a helmet, shoulder pads and pads.
The first person to face Exar, the almost identical age with the brown fur and pointed, brush-tipped ears of the male alien Crado. At first, the fight continued as usual, limited to healthy competition. Suddenly unexpectedly block after block after counterattack after counterattack. The opponent in raven-black hair gave a dirty blow with his hand and a kick, which completely incapacitated the opponent, knocking his weapon out. Sylvar took over and approached her beloved. Exar Kun, slightly out of breath, said.
- Honestly, Crodo, you weren't a challenge for me. Rising from the ground, Cathar looked down at the victor.
- You are the best of us Exar Kun, it is not a lack of honor to lose to you. - Sylva tried to help him up, but he refused. Master Vodo looked at the nervous woman and said reassuringly.
- Everything will be fine with him. Now it's your turn to test against a swordsman who thinks so highly of himself!
-Gladly. - She replied shortly with a golden gleam in her eyes, activating her yellow sword.
- Vodo wants to test us to the limit, so be it. - Exar thought and drew his lightsaber in the preparation-exit position in front of him with one leg slightly extended forward and the other back. Lightsabers clash with a huge blast that makes a loud noise. The energy between the opponents is palpable. Exar says words that he will regret immediately after saying them. - It's high time you learned that the Cathars are no match for the human Jedi!- Sylva becomes instinctively angry. Her opponent, slightly confused by the spoken words, leaves a slight exposure on his right, and she takes the opportunity to leave a deep claw mark on his right cheek. Exar exclaims, knocking her down with power.
- How dare you use your claws on me! Get up! Fight like a Jedi. - The man has a diagonally lowered sword to the side. Cathar smiles slightly.
- You may have deceived Master Vodo, but not me, you're not a Jedi! We Cathars at least have honor.-More anger appears on the face of the proud Jedi, he is ready to swing at the girl. Vodo, moments before the catastrophe, strikes the hand holding the weapon with a swing of the wooden cane.
- Exar Kun! Stop, anger is not the solution. - The young man feels as if his hand is paralyzed and drops the gun. -Do you think anger will make you a good fighter? That makes you a better fighter than your teacher? - Still the blood from Exar's cheek is slightly dripping.
- You are the master, but I know best what I am capable of.
-Exar catch it!
Exar accepts the sword from Crado and turns it on as a silent acknowledgment of the challenge. He then assumes a fighting stance.
- Are you sure about this master? - Vodo, drawing his power-enhanced wooden staff, replies with a slight bitterness
- I would ask you the same question boy.
The sky is orange, the sun is leaning towards the west, a crescent moon is visible. Exar removes his helmet, his hair blowing in the wind, his skin able to feel the breeze off the cliff coast. - Flux approaching. thoughts, then focuses completely on control of his body, breathes deeply. Exar runs out to deliver blow after blow. The red-skinned alien is able to stop the young Jedi's attacks with a power-enhanced wooden stick.
- Your self-assessment betrays you, Exar Kun. - Vodo says the words while slashing his staff along with his cyan lightsaber. Moments later, thanks to long experience, he manages to find the opponent's balance point and deftly sends him flying. Exar lands on the ground with a thud. He tries to use a rock to get back into the fight, but the master stops him.
- You're right, I'm still a master. - Announces a slightly saddened audacity of a young student.
- A master should not underestimate the disciple to whom he has given his knowledge.- the young man sees the silver flash of the lightsaber hilt in the grass from the corner of his eye, he reaches out with the power to retrieve it. He decides in desperation to use one of the more difficult, offensive lightsaber forms using a pair of lightsabers. He knows that the technique is good for quick attacks, but its disadvantage is weaker defense.
He crosses both crystal blue blades to rise slightly to throw Vodo off balance. He is agile and furious, blow after blow trying to break the barrier created by the master crowned with his staff. The Cathars watching the whole event are wondering whether to intervene. Will Exar Kun go too far? Suddenly, a stronger blow flashes, the apprentice slashes with two swords simultaneously, the fight is stopped. Exar disables both swords, boiling smoke rises from the hilt. He tries not to show his fatigue, standing like a statue, the only movement being his intense chest rising and falling. After a brief moment of disbelief, Crodo approaches the stage, his pupils still dilated.
- Everything okay, Master?" Are you not injured?"- Vodo continued to examine the cane broken in half.
-Hmm... Mighty Jedi... Two swords against a poor stick's capacity. Exar Kun, you are the most impressive student I've ever had…but I sense something is missing from you. There is a place in your heart where something is missing. - Exar is tired of the master's criticism, all he wants is for his skills and efforts to be valuable, for his potential to be recognized and used.
- Only I know my heart, master.
