Hello! I hope you guys enjoy this short fanfic as much as I did writing this one. It's actually based on a real life event of mine! :)

The quaint bookstore behind the main university road was Sakura's favorite place to be. This one had a lot of couches and everything was open for everyone to read. Sometimes she wondered if this was even a bookstore or a library. Whenever she has free time, this is where Sakura will be. The old sweet lady who runs the place knows her and they would always discuss the latest book Sakura finished reading, then she would randomly grab a book from the shelves and will ask Sakura to read it and tell her all about it.

Romance novels were her most favorite. Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice was her number 1, and there's an old beat up paperback of it that she loves to reread countless times. It was always placed at the last bookshelf by the window at the back, and Sakura always leaves her favorite pink bookmark in it.

On a rainy Monday afternoon, Sakura reached for the Pride and Prejudice because she misses Mr. Darcy, and was shocked to see a small note lodged in the page where she last left her bookmark. There in a neat and crisp handwriting it said, "Quite rude to leave your ridiculously pink bookmark in a book that is not yours."

Sakura had to scoff at the note of this stranger and she wrote her reply after spending the last hour reading, "Excuse me for leaving my bookmark. I wasn't aware anyone would read this book- given that it's placed at the farthest shelf, you prick."

Two days after that, she found another note lodged in the book, "Interesting. The ridiculous pink bookmark is owned by a pink haired girl." Reading the reply, Sakura went to ask the old lady who had been in the store for the past few days. And that's where she learned that there's another person who also frequent here aside from her. And the old lady said that the young man also occupies the couch she uses- the farthest at the back, where the shelf of the prized Pride and Prejudice was coincidentally placed. The young man also dropped by two days before when she was so engrossed in reading that the old lady said Sakura did not notice him entering the bookstore, and so she wrote back, "Interesting. I didn't know a guy would read Austen's work. You a romantic at heart?"

The very next day, she found another note, "Is there a problem with that? I have a wild guess that you're the kind of girl that admires Mr. Darcy. Am I correct?"

Sakura found herself chuckling at the last note the random stranger left. "I like 'em cold, tall, dark and handsome. Is there a problem with that?" She never thought that she would look forward to exchanging small notes with this stranger. That's why her heart skipped a beat when she saw the next note left for her a few days later, "Lucky for you I am what most people describe as cold, tall, dark and handsome. I'll see you tomorrow here and I'll take you out for a coffee."

And when tomorrow came, Sakura swore she was red as a tomato because damn her penpal was indeed cold, tall, dark and incredibly handsome. Sasuke stood by the window and smirked at her dumbfounded expression. "Exceeded your expectations, Ms. Bennet? If you don't mind, let's go get that coffee."

FIN.
