In the sounds of the chirping birds in the tree. It was about to strike twelve as it was almost afternoon in the town in London. Horses running across the open road reaching their destination in a peaceful manner.

"Woah. Hang in there you two. What seems to be the rush?" A voice called out to the horses. The horses didn't seem to care as they continued dashing down the road, bumping the carriage a little bit.

"Settle down… You two. You might hit something if this keeps up. I'm sorry my passagers." The rider that was stirring the horses looked back in his backseat carriage, apologizing about the manners of the horses.

"Haha. It's quite alright." A beautiful woman in a yellow flower dress smiled, as she didn't seem to mind. "Maybe they are excited to be returning home?"

"You think?" The rider, who was also the woman's butler, became curious. "I mean…I guess that can make sense. It's be quite awhile since we return home."

"Has it really been that long?" A man who was sitting next to the woman asked her. Her HHHe had blue eyes along with blue hair to match. He was wearing a fancy suit who almost seemed to be a kind of trader perhaps?

"Well…" The beautiful woman began to think about the man. "To you, it may have seemed to be a few days, but to others, it seems like it was an eternity, dear."

"We were only gone for a couple of days." The man laughed.

"Well, It felt longer to me." The woman disagreed as she turned her head outside to look at the scenery before her.

"If you insist, my love." The man shrugged his shoulders. "Now are you positive that you want to bring that thing home with us?"

"Hm?" The brown-haired woman glanced at the man from his question. She looked at what he was pointing at which was just below her chest which was laying in her arms.

"I purchased it for you because you insisted but it worries me a bit." The blue-haired man pulled out a pipe and lit it.

The woman didn't speak a word, but smiled as she quietly turned her face outside the window to enjoy the ride.

The horses finally reach a stopping point. The rider stepped down to look at a big mansion that was in front of them. They were back home from the long journey.

"We made it back." The butler spoke as he went to open the door from the carriage. As he did, he bowed down to the passengers that were coming out of the carriage.

"Thank you, my dear friend." The woman spoke with a smile. "It was a fun ride home."

Behind her was the man that still had the pipe in the mouth. "It's great to be back home."

"Why, thank you Mrs. Joestar." The butler spoke with a gentle smile on his face. "I will go take of the horses as you two go and relax yourself, Mr. Joestar."

"Make sure you get some rest yourself." Mrs. Joestar replied.

"I sure will. Thank you." The butler bowed once more as he took the horses to the back as the married couple walked inside the Joestar mansion.

When they stepped in, they were approached by maids who worked for them.

"Welcome home, Mr. and Mrs. Joestar!" A maid ran up to them,

"Thank you." Mrs. Joestar nodded towards her. "How is everyone?"

"Everyone is doing great! Oh! Let me take your things , sir!" The maid noticed Mr. Joestars luggage and decided to take them from him. She then noticed the moving object in Mrs. Joestar's hand. "Do you want me to take that as well?"

"Oh No….I got it…. But where is he?" The brown-hair woman started to look around the mansion like it was a game of hide and seek. "Where is my boy?"

"He's outside." The maid answered, as she was ascending the upstairs along with the other maids. "You should definitely see him."

"I will! Thank you!" the beloved wife started to dash off in the backyard not before looking at her husband. "Are you not coming?"

"No….I'm sorry, my love….But I got work to attend too. But once I'm done, then I will definitely make sure to see him. You have fun."

"Oh….okay….Get some rest, George." The woman, who was about to open the door leading to the outside, seemed a bit disappointed. She knew that her husband had a whole bunch of work to do, but couldn't help but be a bit sad by that fact. She felt a bit lonely, but not for long as she heard a small sound coming from just below her. When she looked down, she regained her smile and slowly walked outside.

When she approached the outdoors, she looked at the field of flowers. Colors of yellow, pink, and blue were everywhere. It was quite clear that spring was here, which brought a bit of magic to the wife.

It didn't take long to find a certain someone. She looked across the field and noticed a baby boy, with blue eyes and blue hair spotted quite easily. He was wearing blue clothes with stars scattered across. He didn't seem to notice as he seemed to be looking at the butterfly that was attached to a pink flower below him. Mrs. Joestars, didn't need to know what was going on with her son's mind to realize that he was lonely, from them being gone on a business trip and they couldn't take him with them.

She kept quiet as she hid the object behind her back and started to approach him. The boy was lying on the floor to notice her. She crept up on him, with a sneaky smile on her face.

"Jo…na…than~" She spoke, sounding like she was singing his name. Her blue hair boy recognized that call, his eyes widened, perking up his ears as he froze in place. His frown turned upside down as he knew who this person was. He smiled, excitedly as he covered his eyes with his hands, almost as if he wanted to be caught.

The woman saw his mood change instantly and made a gentle smile as she kneeled behind him and used her free hand to reach out, and grab her son, tickling him.

"I got you!" She spoke, playfully.

"Hahaha!" Her beautiful son laughed, being tickled to death. He fell down in her lap, trying to withstand her playfulness.

"My boy….My beautiful, Jonathan…." His mother behind him, giving her baby boy a kiss on the forehead as she stopped tickling him.

"Mama!" the boy spoke, finally spoke, trying to catch a breath. "Eee!"

"Haha. Yes…I am home." Mrs. Joestar agreed. "I missed you…."

"Eeeh." The boy who was looking at his mother from below began to chuckle. He reached up with his small like fingers and touched her face.

"Ha. I see you missed me too." She bent down and touched their forehead together. She could tell that her son, who seemed so lonely at first became full of spirits once he saw his mother. "I'm pretty sure that the horses wanted to see you too. We need to go see the-!" The woman's words caught off just a bit short, for the object she had in her other hand for quite some time, escaped. She immediately raised up and turned around.

"Eh?" The boy watched his mother's reaction and sat up slowly. When he did he heard a sound coming from behind her.

"Arf! Arf!" A sound came from behind Mrs. Mary Joestar. Jonathan couldn't see much but noticed a small spotted object was behind her.

"Whoops. I'm sorry…I didn't mind to keep you like that for long." Mary apologized before looking at her son. Jonathan became curious about the mysterious object behind her as it started to move.

A few seconds later, the baby boy could see what seemed to be a face as it was looking at him. His mother took notice of her son's action and couldn't help but make a little confident smile.

"Jonathan….I brought you something. A special souvenir." She looked behind her shoulder. "There's no need to be afraid."

"Ehheh?" Jonathan looked at his mother, before looking again at what was behind her.

The mother watched as she didn't do anything. She could tell that both began to be curious about one another. They didn't quite know what they should do as they continued to stare at one another. Of course Mary could just push it, but decided to let them be at their own pace. She didn't mind it one bit.

Jonathan, who was a bit timid, decided to leap forward, reaching out on top of his mother's lap. When he did, he got a better look at what the living object was. It had spots all over his body, along with a blue sky ribbon attached to his neck. It had four legs and a tail. It had blue eyes, like him as it was staring carefully at him.

The boy slowly reached out his hand towards the 4 legged creature. When he did, the object backed away from Mrs. Joestar a bit, not sure whether to trust him or not.

"weh?" Jonathan looked at his mother, in sadness. The creature didn't seem to like him much.

"Don't be afraid, my son." His mother assured. "Give him a bit more time, and show him that you want to be his friend…I got you."

Jonathan gazed at the creature before him, still wondering what he was going to do. The boy, wanting to be strong, like his mother, sat up next to her. He fiercely opened his arms out, wanting the creature to come to him. His mother smiled at her boy.

It took a couple of minutes, as the creature was still quite unsure of this boy. But looking at the determined look on his face, he couldn't help but be spellbound as he slowly started to approach him. When he did, he noticed no falter from the boy.

Finally, the creature decided to walking into Jonathan's arms. The boy's eyes widened with surprise before lifting the creature up with his small hand, bringing him to his face. When he did, the creature took in his scent, before licking him. That brought joy to the boy's face.

"Ehh! Mama!" The boy held the living thing into his arms, before gazing at his mother.

"Well done, my son." His mother returned his look with a gentle smile. "That is what we called a puppy."

"Ehh?" Was all the little star could say. He was still learning to speak and the only word he could remember was his parent's names.

"Do you think…you two can become friends?" His mother asked them. They both looked at each other for a second before looking back at her and nodded cheerfully. She chuckled at how cute these two were. "I'm so glad."

The two little ones watched as the beautiful woman threw herself into the flowers. She sighed as she gazed up at the sky, looking peaceful. They both became excited as they followed suit, falling into the ground next to her, both glancing at her.

"I wanted…." She began. "To bring you something, since I can't always be with you, my son. I'm sorry." Jonathan looked up at his mother and could see that she was somewhat depressed. He held the puppy into his arms and moved closer to her as he listened to what she had to say. "You will always be precious to me, Joanthan. As the seasons greeted me with you, I can't begin to tell you how much you changed my whole world. No what what I say, no words can begin to describe the home you've given me."

"Eee!" The little boy smiled, even though he couldn't completely understand what his mother was saying, he knew it was about him as he closed his eyes and became bashful.

"Do you have a name you want to give the puppy, my little star?" She asked, looking down at the two boys. She pointed at the new member in the Joestar family, so that way, her son could understand.

Ehha!" The boy was thinking. He seems to have such a hard time thinking that his mother found him cute.

"Dada!" He answer.

"Dada?" She repeated. She giggled. "Dada, would you be your father, my little star. Try someth-!" A thought came to her mind. "Say? What about this? Now if you don't like it, shake your head okay."

Sparkles came to both of her boys as they wanted to hear her answer.

"What about…Danny?" She asked.

"Dan…ny?" The boy spoke. He stared down at the puppy. The puppy barked and wagged his tail, seeming to be happy. When he noticed, he looked back up towards his mother and nodded cheerfully.

"You like it?" She asked. They both nodded very energetically. "Danny, welcome to the family. No matter what, you have to protect your family and we will do the same for you, alright?"

"Woof! Woof!" The puppy barked happily. He seems to be excited about being given a name and a family to call his own. Jonathan watched him from above.

"You know what Jonathan?" His mother said, "This puppy…actually saved your mother before."

"Eh?" Jonathan became interested in the topic at hand.

"You see…Your mother was almost attacked by something small and scary. I was ever so scared." She was showing emotion, almost as if she was acting the scene. She closed her eyes and open one to gaze at her boys before continuing with a gentle smile on his face. "However, this little one came and protected me. I don't know why, but I want him to be a part of this family. When we met, unfortunately he ran away from me and your father. I was thinking 'Where did he come from, where did he go, in order to find him.' I was determined to find Danny."

Her son looked at his mother with a smile as he was fascinated by her story.

"When we were in a nearby pet store near the place we were staying a couple days later, the owner happened to have the same dog that I was looking for. It looked just as fierce, yet so lonely. So I asked your father to buy him for me. He seemed a bit worried about having a stray in the maison but I think it was mostly because you, my little star."

"Papa?" Jonathan spoke.

"Yes….papa loves you very much. I think that's why he was concerned about Danny. But seeing you two now, I'm pretty sure he will be fine."

A smile came over the little one's face as he started to yawn along with the puppy, dozing off just a bit. The mother noticed and decided to let them sleep. When they both closed their eyes she held them both in her arms and whispered in their ears.

"Happy birthday, My little star."

AN: Hello there! This is the first fanfic, I wrote for Jojo, so please enjoy. I apologize for my grammar and spelling as my English isn't very good when it comes to story telling.

I know many people aren't really a big fan Jonathan compare to the other Jojos. I also realize that we don't know much about Mary Joestar. I grew quite fond of them and wanted to write something about them. I tried to keep this story simple and straight to the point as even though I love long stories unfortunately I don't have the strength to finish them.

This illustrations was something I actually sent to the author himself, along with a few others and actually got a postcard from Araki's sensei back himself. I will treasure that letter. What do you think?

Anyway, Thank you for reading this story. If you wanted me to write more for the Jojo, please let know.

Also the title was based on The song By Bump of chicken from the series Spy x Family.
