Colonel Ryan Stamper US Air Force Fighter Pilot and Shuttle Astronaut Age 35 is one of NASA's top Shuttle Pilots and Commanders, before he joined NASA he was a Captain who Flew F-15s in the Gulf War in Operation Desert Storm and shot down 17 MIG 29s a Legendary Ace and was Award the Medal of Honor and Distinguished Flying Cross for his Heroic Actions as one of the Best Fighter Pilots the Air Force has Ever Known, joined NASA a year later in 1992, in the past, he Flew 6 Shuttle Missions the Endeavor Atlantis Columbia and the Discovery he's been with the Program for 10 years as one of the Space Program's best and Brightest.

Casey arrives at the Space Center to Report for an emergency Mission Briefing, walking down the hallway passing the Mission Control Center Known as Houston he spots Ronald Quincy a Colleague of his a Genius Scientist from Research who helped him design the X-71 Military Space Shuttles for the Air Force, the X-71s a joint Project with the Air Force are military Space Shuttles based on their NASA Counterparts Rocket Engines with a Little Improvement the Shuttles were designed to carry a 12 man crew instead of 7 and are designed for crewed missions to the International Space Station as part of International Partner Ship and Trade Agreement between NASA and the Russian Space Agency. Truman had already called in his Colleagues Colonels William Sharp and Maxwell Davis Friends of His NASA Pilots Jennifer Watts his Fiancee, Captain Anthony Tucker who Flew Shuttle missions on the Endeavor and Discovery with him as Co-Pilot, and Mission Specialists Air Force Lieutenant Timothy Halsey and Sergeant Nathan Gruber.

They have all been briefed on the Horror that shocked them, an Asteroid about the Size of Texas is heading for Earth and destroy all life on Earth unless they do something about it Ryan was looking at the Shuttle systematic on the X 71s and was thinking to himself maybe they could be helpful for the Mission.

Excuse me sir Ryan called While Dan was briefing about a mission that needs a Volunteer Crew of Brave Team of Astronauts with a Drilling team to save the world he mentioned the crew members to hold on as he walked over to Casey.

yeah? he asked and saw the determined look on his friend's face.

sir the X-71s ? he asked, having an idea.

what about them? he asked seeing what the Best Shuttle Pilot had in mind.

sir as you're aware the Shuttles were designed for Department of Defense missions to the International Space Station and were not scheduled to launch until October this year, if we can get them refitted and preflight ready in 12 days with training we can be in space to land on the Asteroid s surface with Nuclear Bomb drill within 800 feet deep enough to drop it arm it then take off again to get clear of the blast and detonate Ryan suggested.

I'm positive sir considering I designed the Shuttles you need someone up there with knowledge of those Spacecraft he replied not changing his mind.
