"Come on, Percy," my girlfriend Annabeth said, rushing me to the kitchen. We are going to try and make my mom's famous blue cookies. "I'm coming. I can't wait," I responded as I was getting the blue food dye from the cabinet.
"Mom, where is the recipe?" I yelled to my mom, but Annabeth shot back. "We don't need one. I know how to bake cookies." I nodded, knowing dam well she didn't know how.
After we got all the ingredients(Mixing bowl, butter, eggs, etc) I turned the oven to 350 like normal and started the mix "you need 2 cups of flour and cup of baking soda, and 3 cups of sugar and we mix"Annabeth said. I wasn't so sure but I added them into a mixing bowl and she started stirring the mixture "now add 5 drops of the food coloring and I will beat the 4 eggs" we did that and the mix started to look like blue mush.
"Wise girl, are you sure you know what you're doing?" I asked her.
"Yeah, now microwave the 4 sticks of butter for 2 minutes, then add 2 more drops of blue ." After the 2 minutes were up, I added the blue and mixed them and came out with a blue watery milky mush. "Now add the eggs and stir for about a minute while I add some milk and a little salt to the soft food mix" I mixed the eggs in and when I got ready to add them to the other bowl she stopped me. "Not yet we have to add a cup more of baking soda" I sighed and did as I was told before I added them and mixed them again. "Now add some flour to the pan I just brought out and then I'll add the mix and cut the shapes out" I did what I was told and when she was done cutting the circles out I put them in the oven and baked then for an hour
After the hour was up the cookies were hard as a rock but we ate them anyway and they tasted like shit.
