I was walking to the lake to clear my thoughts after a long day of taking care of campers in the infirmary. I saw Nico di Angelo walking to his cabin I don't know why I noticed it but I did. When I got there I sat at the shore looking into the lake seeing the Nereid weaving their underwater baskets. They saw me and waved. I ignored them and turned my thoughts to Nico. I was planning on asking him out to the fireworks but I'm not sure how. Maybe if I just say it? Nah to boring. Oh, shoot he's coming over right now. What do I do? What do I say? Do I ask him out now or wait? Waiting probably wasn't the best idea
"Hey?" Nico said or asked I'm not sure. "Hey, Nico," I said back fake smiling trying to make it seem real but inside I was mentally dying. I'm going to do it now. It would be easier if I just asked him out now instead of waiting. I stopped for a second then continued "I've wanted to ask you this for a long time, but do you want to go to the fireworks with me on Saturday?" There was a moment of silence. I wondered if I had done something wrong then he asks "Really?" I paused for a second thinking of what to say. I settled on "Nico, will you please go to the fireworks with me on Saturday?" Faster than you could say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious he said "Yes" and the world felt like it stopped

Today I was walking over to the Demeter cabin to see if they could turn these roses I had plain black.
"Why?"
"For my date tonight"
Now I was walking to the beach hoping to find Nico there. I was dressed in an orange camp shirt and some shorts. I spotted Nico rubbing the sand. I laughed at him "What are you doing lover boy?" I asked
"Smoothing the sand out for us," he said with nervous laughter. I thought it would be the perfect time to hand out the roses "For you, roses as black as you think your soul is." I handed them to him he stopped "Your so sweet"
After a while of watching the fireworks, Nico leaned over and put my hand on his chest. "Nico?" I asked "What are you-" I didn't get to finish my sentence because he stopped me with a kiss. Wow lover boy
This was worse then the last chapter
