She is a monster and knows it, determined to be the best monster for her father and outdo her twin sister Kitana. She has been given a chance to do so by killing the so-called Chosen One of Earthrealm only to discover an old friend.

Chapter 1

"You are a predator,"

A glint fills the dark room slicing through the air at incredible speeds as it twirled between a pair of delicate fingers.

"You are vicious,"

Female Kata yells fill the air as a woman in darkness kicks the air with amazing grace and skill. Not losing balance as she flipped in the air

"You are beautiful,"

A hiss fills the air as the female throws her weapons against the wall embedding them. Quickly running up, grabbing them and jumping off the wall, and landing on her feet.

"YOU-ARE-THE BEST!"

The woman lets out a sigh holding her weapons before her as her yellow eyes glow in the darkness. Just then the room was flooded with light as the door opened.

"Princess Mileena, your presence is required in the main throne room. We are about to begin." A servant says with a bow

"I am aware of that, you fool. I don't require a walking alarm clock." Mileena says standing it's her back turned revealing that she was naked in her room, not bothering to turn back

"Understood, but Princess Kitana is already prepared and-." The servant says

SHUNK!

The servant falls over dead as a sai was stabbed into his forehead. Mileena looked over her shoulder with contempt having just thrown the weapon and killing the man.

"Do not compare me to my sister," Mileena growls her eyes glinting as the shadows covered her face

She walks up to the corpse pulls out her sai, and then nudging the body out of her room so she can close the door. She grumbles as she walks to a closet opening a door revealing a Purple one-piece outfit, with elbow-length black and purple gloves, knee-high purple boots with gold knee pads, and a purple face mask. She puts the outfit on easily, it was tight, very tight. It hugged her body showing every soft curve and hardened muscle she had. It also left very little to the imagination the outfit riding high on her hips showing off her tight ass, the fabric hugging her midsection showing her toned 6-pack abs, and an opening on the chest that showed off a lot of her massive cleavage. She makes sure the mask is tightly affixed to her face covering her nose and mouth. She stands in front of a full-body mirror taking a moment to admire herself striking a pose and flexing. She leans forward focusing on her breasts giving one of them a squeeze with a smirk.

"Let's see Kitana beat this." Mileena says with a chuckle before exiting her room and stepping over the dead body

Mileena walks down the stone hallways with a confident saunter, heels clicking on the stone. She was presenting herself even with no one around, a figure stood at the end of the hallway.

"Your late." A serious voice says

"Royalty arrives whenever they feel ready," Mileena says with a hiss

At the end of the hall was Princess Kitana, a mirror image of Mileena in physique and stature. She wore a two-blue piece and mask similar to Mileena's and was just revealing. Mileena did not slow down as Kitana joined her step the two walking together.

"Where was the attendant I sent for you?" Kitana asks

"Dead?" Mileena says simply

"Why?" Kitana groans

"Because I killed him," Mileena replies simply

"Why did you kill him?" Kitana groans

"He annoyed me," Mileena says with a smirk under her mask

"That is not a reason," Kitana says

"Why would I need one? Besides we are going to be doing so much killing very soon." Mileena says with a malicious gleam in her eye looking to make Kitana uneasy

"Aw feeling bad Kitana, why don't you sit back and let your sister handle this," Mileena says with a laugh

"I'm fine, let's just get this over with. For Shao Kahn." Kitana says seriously

"For Shao Kahn," Mileena says with a scoff

The two enter a large hall of a palace where the sorcerer Shang Tsung stood waiting for the two to approach.

"You both are late," Shang says annoyed

"I was waiting for my sister to join us," Kitana says

"Of course." The old mystic says rolling his eyes

"Hmf, you requested us to be here you old fool. Because you are afraid of some ridiculous prophecy from that fool Raiden. If you want assured victory, you can wait a few extra minutes." Mileena boasts

"Gnnnnn, let us greet our kombatants." Shang Tsung says walking to the door the two sisters following behind

They walked out to the champion's garden where all the kombatants were waiting. Mileena could feel the eyes on her and loved it. She figured she was the most beautiful woman here, the most beautiful woman they had ever seen. They wanted to get close to her, to touch her, but once they did that's when she slid her sai into her neck.

"Let's see what pathetic crop I have the pleasure of eliminating. Poor EarthRealmers think they can save their world. So admirable, so stupid." Mileena grins as she stands to the side of Shang Tsung as he spoke to the crowd. Mileena scanned the people before her.

"Hm Lin Kuei, EarthRealmers hoping to join the winning side before their realm becomes property of Outworld." Mileena thinks looking at a blue-clad ninja

"Ugh, Kano. The disgusting scoundrel tried to make a pass at me. Once his black dragons give us our weapons for taking over Earthrealm I'll take pleasure in slitting his throat." Mileena thinks looking at the metal-faced Australian

"The nether realm fighter seems like overkill but Shang Tsung is overly cautious for this." Mileena thinks looking at the yellow-clad Ninja

"HA! The mighty god of Thunder, a front-row seat to the end of his precious realm." Mileena thinks looking at the straw hat-wearing man with an electrifying aura around him

"The Earthrealm woman seems to be of their military, she'll die fighting. But die nonetheless." Mileena thinks looking at the blonde woman in military fatigues

"Hm, looks like a fool won't last long." Mileena thinks looking at the sun-glass-wearing man

"And here we have….." Mileena thinks looking to the last fighter only for her eyes to widen

Before she was an EarthRealmer of Chinese descent, adorned in red and dragons. A strong build, peaceful eyes, and a red headband tied around his forehead. Mileena stared at this man her yellow eyes wide as it looked like she was reaching deep into her mind and pulling out a memory. In a moment the man's eyes went to the side and locked with Mileena, the two stared at each other. The man had a look of realization on his face as he looked at Mileena. He looked like he was about to say something, until….

"So good luck Kombatants, the fate of your realm depends on it." Shang Tsung says as all the kombatants vanish in an orange flash

It takes a moment for Mileena to gather herself shaking herself out of her stupor, Kitana notices this giving her a quizzical look. Shang Tsung with a serious expression walks back into the palace with the sisters following behind.

"You both specialize in stealth and assassination I want you both to watch the EarthRealmers, inform me of their progress, and kill anyone I tel you to kill." Shang Tsung explains

"No faith in your own stacked deck?" Kitana says

"Why not just kill them all?" Mileena says bored

"We cannot risk angering the elder gods with blatant cheating." Shang Tsung says

"So just covered cheating then?" Kitana says

"Just do as I say," Shang says as the two bow

"Mileena, I have a mission for you." Shang Tsung says as Kitana leaves first

"You have need of my skills?" Mileena asks with a chuckle

"I have need of your ruthlessness. And I don't trust your sister." Shang says

"Rightfully so." Mileena grins

"You are now a kombatant of the outworld, I need you to kill the EarthRealms chosen one," Shang says

"Ah yes, the supposed chosen one who will defeat Goro and break Outworld's winning streak. Seriously?" Mileena says with a laugh

"THIS IS NOT A JOKE! I don't need you to believe me, just kill him." Shang snaps

"If it will make you sleep better at night, fine. Give me a face and name." Mileena says

"His name is Liu Kang, A Shaolin warrior of the order of light. He was chosen by Raiden to participate. Kill him." Shang Tsung says showing the man from before with his magic

"… consider it done," Mileena says maliciously with a pause.

She turns to leave jumping out the window and vanishes into the tree line leaving the palace behind. Once she was out of view her expression changed to one of annoyance and apprehension as her mind ran with the image of the man.

"After all this time we meet again. Think you are finally a warrior, don't you? My little Shaolin." Mileena thinks with a wicked grin under her mask

12 YEARS AGO

"Winner Kitana!"

Mileena lays on the wooden ground Sai's stabbed into the floor as she grunts in pain. Over her stood Kitana, both of them only 12 years old wearing blue and purple leotards and headbands. Kitana kneels down to help her sister up, Mileena looking at it with a grimace on her face. She looked at the hand her own twitching as she considered the offer. But as she looked into a dark area of the dojo she saw a pair of red eyes looking at her with contempt. A feeling of shame filled Mileena and she swatted the hand away getting up on her own. Kitana looked at her sister concerned as she picked up her Sais and walked out of the dojo.

"DAMMIT!" Mileena yells slicing a wall with a drawing of a person on it

"I should've seen that coming! She fucking tricked me again!" Mileena yells stabbing the drawing

"Father saw me fail. He thinks I'm weaker than Kitana! I need to prove I'm not, but how?!" Mileena growls jumping on her bed with a huff

"Hmmmmm I could kill Kitana." Mileena thinks

(Her fantasies are in the style of MK2) A dazed Kitana stands before Mileena, the beastly girl pulling out her sais and stabbing her sister repeatedly in the gut. Kitana falls over and Mileena raises her sai in victory

"No, she's your sister. Plus she'll kill you first." Mileena thinks

The fantasy now shows Mileena's dazed as Kitana pulls out her fans and lobs Mileena's head off. Mileena's body falls over dead as Kitana takes her victory pose.

"I could fight Goro…. No that's bound for failure." Mileena thinks

The fantasy shows the small Mileena standing against the massive Goro. Mileena jumps in the air with a yell going for a kick, only to get an uppercut into the sky. Her small frame is shown falling into the distance

"I could stab Raiden in the eye….. but would that work?" Mileena thinks

The fantasy shows Mileena standing against Raiden, she charges at him with her sai only for him to vanish. He then appears behind her and with one finger electrocutes Mileena into a skeleton.

"Wait… Raiden….. EarthRealm… I'LL KILL AN EARTHREALM WARRIOR! Father wants EarthRealm so much, he'll be so happy with me getting bringing the head of his enemies." Mileena thinks

The fantasy shows Mileena standing victorious over a dead body holding a head with the spine still attached. The words MILEENA WINS appear overhead

"I shall honor my father's name with blood." Mileena grins with malicious intent at her murderous plan

EARTHREALM, CHINA

It was easy enough for Mileena to get to Earthrealm, her father had so many ways to send spies into their realm to gather intel. She choose the area she visited carefully, a nation of Earth called China. It was in this nation the Wushi Academy was, the stronghold of father's enemies. Where they would train fools to die in the upcoming Mortal Kombat tournament. She would probably be killing one of them once she was old enough and participated in the tournament, so this was just her getting some early practice. The portal was a good distance away from the academy so she had to travel a bit, not that she was planning on going in. She would patrol the far outskirts of the academy, if luck was on her side there would be 1 or 2 lone warriors out in the woods doing training or whatever monks did. Once she found one she would challenge them to Kombat, brutalize them beyond recognition, maybe grab a bite, and bring that head back home and be showered with praise.

Mileena used her infiltration training as she moved through the treelines making sure her presence was minimal. She hid in the shadows of the trees her yellow eyes scanning the area for potential prey. Then her ears picked up the rustling of leaves and she took off towards it. Though she moved quickly and quietly, she could barely contain her excitement as she approached her prey. She then came to the edge of a clearing going low as she watched.

Before her was a boy around her age, dressed in monk robes with a red sash around his waist. He had long wavy black hair and a red headband around his forehead. He looked to be Asian from what Mileena could tell, perhaps a young student of the academy though he still had hair. Perhaps a new recruit yet to go through the rites of the temple. But from his stance, he was clearly trained, she didn't recognize the stance but it was pretty loose, the boy jumping from toe to toe. The boy took a breath as he focused on a tree before him. The boy then lets out a yell as he rushes the tree throwing a kick to its side with a THWUNK. The boy then threw out a flurry of kicks to the same spot, retracting his leg, and then punches the base of the tree. The boy throws a flurry of punches his fists quickly moving up the tree, ending his assault with a chop to the side. The boy then flips back getting some distance from the tree as he brought his hands together he focused on his hands as if she were trying to conjure something. Then finally with a yell, he throws his hands forward….. and nothing happens. After a minute of still silence, the boy continuously thrusts his palms forward trying to get something to happen before letting out a defeated groan and dropping his hands.

"Master Bo Rai Cho said I need to understand my strength to utilize my Arcana. But what strength do I have, I'm nobody. They chose wrong, I shouldn't be here. I'm not the person they are looking for." The boy says defeated sitting on the ground

"You certainly are the person I'm looking for." Mileena says gleefully as she stands above the boy on a branch revealing herself.

The boy looks up in surprise at the girl who appeared from nowhere. She definitely wasn't from the temple, would've noticed a girl in bright purple. He focused on her yellow eyes that seemed to emanate danger, but also something else. As well as the mask covering her nose and mouth, he didn't know why but it got his curiosity.

"Oh um….. hello there. I'm Liu Kang, who are you?" Liu asks while also introducing himself with a small bow

"Who I am is none of your concern. Your realm is about to meet its end soon enough. You should consider yourself lucky that you won't witness the inevitable horror. As tarkatan hordes sweep across the land destroying any resistance. As humanity's hopes and dreams are stripped and replaced with unquestioning allegiance. By my mercy, you will not witness it." Mileena says proudly having clearly practiced this speech

"… um, okay. Maybe I spoke too fast before. My name is Liu Kang, and you are?" Liu asks again

"Heh, alright then," Mileena says leaping down from the branch to the ground

"My name is Mileena Princess of Outworld. And for the glory of Shao Khan, I shall end your life and take your head." Mileena says in a sickly sweet voice

"Heh heh, okay now. Is this some kind of welcome prank or something?" Liu says thinking it's a joke but sensing a very dark presence from the girl before him

"This is no joke. You are going to die here." Mileena says as she pulls out her sais twirling them in her fingers the blades glinting in the light

"OH…. WOW….. OKAY! I think you have the wrong person." Liu says getting up and backing off seeing the blades were real

"You were just at the right place at the wrong time, human. Please try to fight back, your gonna die regardless but at least it'll be with some honor." Mileena says walking forward

"C-can't we just talk this out," Liu says scared

"Fight or Die, human," Mileena says seriously

"FIGHT!" Mileena yells leaping at Liu Kang with her sais

Liu yelps and goes completely on the defensive sidestepping a sai aimed at his head. Mileena yells out as she swings her sais trying to get a cut in on the elusive monk, the young man moved quickly swaying past her attack. Then with a yell, she goes for an overhead stab only for him to jump back going making her stab the ground. Liu goes on the retreat trying to get away from the crazy Sai girl, however, Mileena throws out one of her sais stabbing it to a Tree next to Liu making him yelp and freeze up. Seizing this opportunity Mileena charges at him with one sai going for his head. He ducks but Mileena lands a punch to his side making him grunt in pain, Mileena then pulls the other sai from the tree and in a swift movement slices across Liu's face. He narrowly avoids a fatal slice but gets a cut on his cheek, the boy stumbling back with a yelp from the pain.

"Aw, what's wrong? Did I cut you?" Mileena says gleefully readying her sais and rushing him

At that moment Liu looked at the blood and realized this was 100% real. Not a dream, not a prank, this girl was trying to kill him. She wanted him dead and was not going to stop. It was then that the teachings of his master clicked and his instincts moved his body a single word going through his head, FIGHT. As the girl went for another stab Liu raised his hand and parried the stab away a surprised expression appearing on Mileena's face as she did. She tried to go for another stab with her free hand only for her outworld to get rocked.

THRACK!

Mileena didn't know what hit her as Liu's fist met her chin in an uppercut. Her jaw slammed shut and her teeth clicked together as the force of the blow went from her jaw all across her skull into her brain. She felt like her brain touched the top of her skull as she was sent into the air totally limp. Mileena froze in the air for a moment her brain completely rattled, forgetting where she was for a moment as she looked at the blue sky above. Gravity pulled her back down to Earth and reality as she crashes to the ground with a pained scream her sais landing beside her.

Liu took a moment to breathe, keeping his stance as Mileena lay on the ground motionless. After a few seconds, she let out a scream and her body jerked harshly. The girl rolled onto her gut slowly pushing herself up with a groan, looking slightly out of it as she stood up.

"D-Hehehehe, n-not bad. Actually, I felt better that I e….I expected." Mileena says stumbling a bit but getting to her feet and grabbing her sais

"I don't wanna fight you!"Liu Kang says keeping his stance

"But your gonna have to. If not today then in the future when Mortal Kombat is upon us. Our facing each other is inevitable, I'm just speeding up the process. Now stop talking, This fight is nowhere close to over

Mileen charges again, swiping at Liu's face with her sais only for him to dodge and counter with a punch to the face. Mileena growls but manages to hit Liu with the hilt of her sais sending his head to the side. She twirls her Sais with a roar and goes to stab Liu in the gut with both and disembowels him. Liu however is able to grab Mileena's wrist just as the tips of the sais poked his gut lightly. The two locked eyes growling in each other's faces as Mileena tried to push her sais forward, unable to fight against Liu's strength. Liu grunts and twists Mileena's wrists at the same time a small crack is heard from the ligaments being strained. Mileena lets out a surprised scream as she falls to the ground, Liu kicking them away from them. Liu, still holding Mileena's wrists, pulls her arms apart opening up her body and face. But before he could do anything Mileena headbutts him in the nose sending his head back with a yelp. Mileena then brings both feet up and kicks off of Liu's chest, sending him to the ground as she flipped back and landed on her feet.

"Grrrrrrrr, sneaky little bastard," Mileena says shaking her wrists

"I would prefer not to be stabbed," Liu says taking his stance

"Then I'll just beat you to death!" Mileena says as she takes her stance as well

The two circle each other, locking eyes as they look for an opening. The impatient Mileena lets out a battle shriek as she goes his shooting out her arms and nails first to Liu's eyes. The Shaolin dodges the attempt to blind him, Mileena not done goes in with a series of strikes to his head trying to hit. Dodging 6 strikes Liu goes on the attack with a punch to Mileena's cheek sending her head to the side with a pained yell. Liu then quickly sends a punch to her face sending it back with a THWACK. Mileena screamed as she stumbled back holding her face and trying to shake off the attack.

Liu Kang tried to follow up only to run into an elbow thrown by Mileena. She then follows up with a reverse sidekick that impacts Liu's cheek, ending by thrusting both palms into his chest, sending him flying back and hitting the ground. Mileena screams trying to stomp on Liu only for him to sweep and kick her getting a "WHAA-!" As she fell. The two rolled away and got up once again, Mileena smirks under her mask as she brings her palms together and focuses. She suddenly vanishes into a burst of purple smoke much to Liu's confusion. A kata from above makes him look up just in time to get a boot to the face as Mileena descended from above. As he reeled from the hit Mileena grabbed him by the shoulders and rammed her knee into his gut knocking the air out of him. As he wheezed Mileena giggled as she then did a cartwheel kicking the top of his head as she did, and as he stumbled back Mileena did a small spin leaping forward and delivering a corkscrew kick to his face knocking him down.

"HA! How do you like that human?!" Mileena says taking her stance

"Was that your Arcana? You can do it? We're the same age, that's incredible!" Liu says impressed

"O… oh, well. I mean I am of course incredible." Mileena says slightly surprised

"I got a few surprises of my own," Liu says taking his stance

"Then try to impress me!" Mileena says smirking

Mileena goes in with a chop, but Liu catches it and twists her wrist. Mileena grunts but sends a quick kick to Liu's face to try and get him to let go. Liu holds on sending a kick of his own to Mileena's gut making her gag. Liu then twists Mileena's arm behind her back getting a growl from her. Liu then grabs ahold of the back of Mileena's head with his free hand, he then releases Mileena's arm and then throws a punch to the back of Mileena's head right on the base of the skull and spine. Mileena's brain was rattled as she let out a "GUH!" Falling to her knees with a dazed expression. Liu then does a quick spin and throws a kick to the downed Mileena's face sending her skidding back into a tree. Mileena picks herself up using the tree while holding her face in pain, her attention is then drawn forward as she heard Liu Kang's battle cry. Liu runs forward and jumped in the air with his foot extended and impacting right on Mileena's face, which was now pinned between the foot and the tree. It was not over as Liu seemed to float in the air and then deliver a series of kicks to Mileena's face looking like he was riding an invisible bicycle. Mileena screams and yelps in pain letting out "GAH-AH-NO-NO-WHA!" As she was kicked into the tree. Liu Kang then flips back as a dazed Mileena stood before him leaning against the tree. Liu takes a step back rearing his fist back and takes a breath before letting out a "WA-TAH!" And letting it fly.

WACRACK

The force of the punch goes through Mileena's body and shakes the tree behind her. Mileena let out a gasp of pain as she stumbles forward clutching her chest and trying to gather herself.

"GN-UNGH! A-ain't you gonna down me?" Mileena gasps

"Not until you're ready. Do ya want to continue?" Liu Kang says

"Heh, such sentiment, this is a fight to the death. You shouldn't give mercy, 'cause I sure won't." Mileena wheezes

"I don't understand why. This isn't Mortal Kombat." Liu says

"Heh I'm an outworlder, you are an earthrealmer, we are meant to fight and kill each other," Mileena says correcting herself

"Why?" Liu Kang asks

"CAUSE THAT'S HOW IT IS AND MEANT TO BE, AS! Though I will admit you have proven to be an amusing human, I might actually be a little disappointed to kill." Mileena says

"Then don't, I don't wanna kill you," Liu says

Mileena doesn't answer this time, immediately going on the offensive letting out her battle shriek as she shot her hand out at Liu. She ends up jabbing him twice in the forehead with her fingers sending his head back, before following up with a palm strike to the chin that sent him off the ground. Liu flips and lands on his feet as Mileena goes in with a kick. Liu blocks it and counters with a punch that sends Mileena's head to the side, the ninja girl tries to throw a counter blow but Liu parries it and rocks her head with 3 swift punches. As Mileena stumbles back she is then lifted off the ground with an uppercut to the body that makes her gag. Liu then kicks Mileena in the face sending her to the ground. Mileena rolls to her belly and pounds the ground letting out a frustrated yell before scrambling to her feet.

Mileena runs forward and curls up into a ball rolling across the ground at Liu, making him jump over her. Mileena stops her roll and kicks off a tree back to Liu hitting him with an elbow to the face. As he stumbles back Mileena grabs his arm twisting it to an uncomfortable angle and throws 3 punches to his exposed face. She twists his arm again making him bend over where she sends 2 knees into his chin. She then spins him around and delivers a kick to his face that knocked him down. Liu flips up to her feet just in time to block a strike from Mileena and counter with a punch to her face with all he had. As his fist met her face he could feel her skull contort from the force of the blow, but he also felt that her head felt different, particularly around the jaw area. Mileena's brain was rattled as she stumbled a bit trying to clear her head and get her bearings, it was then that Liu went on the attack again.

He remembered reading about this from the scrolls in the temple, a move created by Master Kung Lao and refined by Bo Rai Cho. Liu planted his feet and tensed his leg muscles as he focused on his target. He is nowhere close to getting it fully but he can still do some damage and if he follows up with another move it could bring her down. Liu launches forward with a furious yell leg extended in a flying kick. It collides with Mileena's chest knocking the wind out of her as she was sent flying back and rolling across the ground. Liu stumbles but stays on his feet as Mileena coughs and gets to her feet, Liu bringing his hands together and focusing. The teachings of the monks rang through his head as he tried to focus his arcana. He thought he felt something between his palms, something warm so with a yell he threw out his hands

Puff

A puff of smoke emerged from his hands and vanished in the wind. The Shaolin monk standing there with an embarrassed blush on his face. It was with this moment that Mileena capitalized grabbing her sais which she landed near and rushing to her feet. She raised both sai's over her head as they started to glow and then with a yell she threw from forward and from the tips of the blades purple energy shot out. Liu had no time to react or dodge as the blasts came at him. They stabbed into his shoulders like needles the monk let out a pained gasp as he fell to the ground bleeding from the wounds.

Liu tried to force himself up only for the wounds on his shoulders to sting making him yell and fall back to the ground. Liu stares up at the blue sky only for the shadow of Mileena to appear above him and quickly descend down with her battle shriek. Mileena rams her knee into Liu Kang's gut making him spit out a glob of spit as he screamed out in pain. The ninja Girl gets on top of him and raining down punches onto his face with wrathful strength. After 6 punches the Ninja girl gets up and flips over him stamping her feet down onto his chest and getting another pained scream. Mileena twirls her sais in her hands before bringing them together over her head looking down at Liu's bruised face seeing that was unconscious.

"MILEENA WINS!" Mileena yells out victorious into the air taking a moment to breathe hard

She laughs breathlessly to herself before collapsing on top of her defeated foe and sitting on his gut as she needed to breathe. She moved her hair from her face putting her sais on the ground as she looked out to the sky.

"Heh, you made me work for it. I like that, would've had nothing to brag about if it was easy." Mileena says between breathes as she looks down at Liu

"Don't feel bad lil Shaolin, you gave it your all. Perhaps you would've been a great warrior when you were older. Not as great as me, but still." Mileena says as she grabs her sai

"They'll find your body, sure the monks will give you a good burial," Mileena says as she puts the blade to his neck

"I thought about keeping your head after all this, but maybe I'll bury it with your body once I show it to my father. Not Like I'll need it." Mileena says as she presses the blade against his flesh

"Plus I mean you deserved better than that, you earned it for our battle. Pretty dang fun too, not sure if you thought so as well. Guess I'll never know, right?" Mileena says pressing hard a bit of blood coming from his neck

"…..Come on, slice. SLICE DAMMIT! YOU'VE DONE IT BEFORE!" Mileena yells at herself her blade unable to move in her hands

"He never had a chance, you knew this is how it would end. Take his head, get your glory! He tried and he failed, it's nothing personal. He tried…." Mileena yells forcing herself

Her mind went back to his kind and dorky face. And the moment from the fight where he could've finished her, but didn't his words echoed in her mind. That he didn't want to kill her when she was so ready to kill him. From her upbringing soaked in blood everyone went for the kill, but he didn't maybe it was a human thing. Mileena yells stabbing her sai next to his head before flopping next to him with an annoyed groan.

"God dammit, what's wrong with me?!" Mileena groans raking her hands over her face as she looked up to the sky

An undetermined amount of time later Liu woke up with a gasp, sitting up and holding his shoulder. He was no longer bleeding and on the wounded area was a thick substance he could not recognize.

"Don't touch it, the ointment will close up that wound in a few minutes," Mileena says leaning on a tree and flipping her sai between her fingers

"How long was I out?" Liu asks

"15 minutes, not bad for an earth human," Mileena says with a sneer

"And I….. Still, have my head? You didn't kill me?" Liu says feeling his neck

"Don't flatter yourself, the only reason I spared your miserable life was because of how pathetic you are as a warrior," Mileena says flipping her hair

"Oh…. Really?" Liu says a little disappointed

"Yeah you are such a weakling it's hilarious. What glory would I get from presenting father your head? Oh yes, Father here is the head of some weakling I killed, please love me." Mileena says mockingly

"….D-Does your father not love you?" Liu asks

"ANYWAY! Congratulations your too weak to kill." Mileena says looking down at him

"Um….. well, thank you. Happy to be alive." Liu says starting to get up only for a sai to land between his fingers

"Don't think you're getting off that easy human. I am the victor and if I won't take your pathetic life, I shall take something else from you." Mileena says having thrown her weapon to keep him down

"Oh… Kay…. What do you want?" Liu asks

"Oh ho ho ho! What do I want?" Mileena says as if she was going to make a reveal

"You thought this up on the fly didn't you?" Liu asks

"I DID NOT SHUT UP!" Mileena yells defensively

"Well, what do you want? A new Purple mask?" Liu asks

"You have one? I MEAN- no." Mileena says with a small smile before snapping out of it

"I….. want….." Mileena says trying to think of something

"I want… I want….. a kiss." Mileena says with a confident look

"A KISS?!" Liu yelps surprised

"Yeah right on the cheek! Consider yourself lucky, you get to kiss a good-looking girl like me." Mileena says with a laugh

"Wh-why do you want me to kiss you?" Liu asks confused

"DON'T QUESTION ME! I won and this is what I want. What scared of a little kiss?" Mileena asks tauntingly

"Okay, okay, it's just weird. I'll do it." Liu says standing up

"Good, let me just take this mask off," Mileena says with a small snicker

"If I can't have your head, I'll have your screams. A little prank ought to lift my spirits at your expense." Mileena thinks to herself with a snicker

Mileena is in her fantasy once again standing before the dazed Liu Kang as FINISH HIM appears overhead. Mileena then pulls down her mask revealing her deformed mouth and razor teeth. Turned to the monk and let out a monster outs roar making Liu scream and fall over foaming at the mouth. Mileena raises her fists in the air as MILEENA WINS appears overhead.

"His fear will be priceless." Mileena thinks with a giggle

"Are you ready~?" Mileena asks in a taunting voice

"You are being very weird about this, but….. okay," Liu says as Mileena grins

Mileena smiles pulling down her mask and turning around to face Liu Kang, the monk letting out a surprised "Oh?". Her mouth was deformed her grin going beyond her cheeks and her jaw as wide as a snake. Her teeth were like knives sharp and menacing all lined up together ready to attack.

"GO AHEAD! SCREAM! CRY! WET YOUR PANTS! MAKE MY DAY! YOUR TERROR IS MY-!" Mileena thinks maliciously until

Mileena's eyes went wide as she lets out a confused "eh?" As Liu without hesitation planted a small kiss on whatever cheek area Mileena had. Her mind raced as she processed what happened, her whole body going stiff.

In her fantasy world, Mileena was now the one dazed before Liu Kang as FINISH HER appeared overhead. Liu comes in and presses a light kiss onto Mileena's cheek. The Ninja girl lets out a horror-filled scream as her body goes rigid and she fell over, eyes rolling into her head. Liu raises his fist over his head as LIU KANG WINS appears over him followed by KISS-ALITY

"Well, that was my first kiss. And one I certainly won't forget." Liu says as Mileena falls back in shock

"Wh-what did you do?" Mileena stammers holding her cheek

"I kissed you….. Like you asked." Liu says simply

"I KNOW YOU KISSED ME, BUT WHY LOOK AT ME?!" Mileena yells gesturing to her face

"What about it? It caught me by surprise, especially since there weren't a lot of areas to kiss." Liu says

"WHAT ABOUT IT?! I'M A MONSTER! LOOK AT THESE TEETH I CAN TEAR INTO YOUR FLESH AND BONES WITH ONE BITE!" Mileena says gnashing her teeth at him

"But you didn't, thanks for that," Liu says with a smile

"FOR THE LOVE OF-! YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO REALLY DO IT! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SCARED! I'M A HIDEOUS TERRIFYING MONSTER! PEOPLE DON'T KISS MONSTERS!" Mileena yells

"Don't say that about yourself, you are not a monster," Liu says concerned

"WELL, I…. what?" Mileena says her tone softening

"It was surprising but not really scary. You aren't a monster." Liu says

"... s-say that again?" Mileena squeaks confused

"You-are not-a monster," Liu says slowly for her to hear

Mileena then collapsed to her knees, eyes wide as her brain was sent through another loop. She has never heard those words from anyone but her sister, and then she thought it was because she was just being nice. Everyone feared her face, they could imagine her fangs digging into their flesh as she ate at them like a rabid animal. They thought she was one so she acted like it, owned the label, and became exactly what they wanted her to be. But now this human got one look at her and kissed her.

"Hey, are you okay?" Liu says kneeling down to her holding her mask

Mileena snapped out of it, locking eyes with Liu Kang. Actually taking the time to examine him he was a cute young man, kind eyes with a bit of fire in them. Mileena felt warm for a moment but shook it off, taking her mask from him and getting to her feet by herself.

"I'm leaving," Mileena says stubbornly before walking off

"O-okay, bye. Will I see you again?" Liu asks making Mileena stop mid-step

"Why? Do you like me~?" Mileena says teasingly trying to regain dominance of the conversation

"I-um-I-I mean we just met. You seem nice… despite saying you were gonna kill me BUT DIDN'T." Liu stammers

"... You tried using Arcana before, but you failed," Mileena says

"We-well….. Yeah. Guess I tried going too big, still not there yet. But that teleporting kick and those energy knives, you've mastered your Arcana." Liu says impressed

"Of course, tis to be expected of royalty… Are you out here every day?" Mileena asks

"Just whenever I can, why?" Liu asks

"Come back here in 2 days at noon. Maybe with my brilliance, I can help a pathetic warrior like you unlock their Arcana." Mileena says

"You….. wanna train me?" Liu asks

"Don't get the wrong idea human, this isn't for your benefit it's for mine. Fighting you will improve me, making me a better kombatant. Your improvement is merely a minuscule tangent to my exponential growth." Mileena says

"Well thank you…. I think. I'll be there." Liu says

"Good, try to pick up some new skills till then," Mileena says walking away

"Cool…. Cool….. So why did you want a kiss?" Liu asks only for Mileena to take off into the trees without a trace

"... maybe it's because I'm a weird monk living in a temple with no experience with girls…. But did her teeth make her cuter?" Liu says to himself

PRESENT DAY

Out in the wilderness of Shang Tsung's island, the now-adult Liu Kang sat by the fire. In a meditative trance, he breathed steadily in and out the fire rising and falling with each breath. Suddenly his eyes shot open and he got to his feet taking a stance as he looked out to the trees.

"Well, well, well your senses have sharpened," Mileena says from the shadows

"I knew it was you….. Not that I would forget." Liu says with a smile dropping his stance

"Hello….. My little Shaolin." Mileena says emerging from the shadows and grinning under her mask

(Hey everyone it's been a while, but I'm back. Life got in the way you know mostly work-related and trying to figure out my next step. Also been working on more original works on my end expanding my portfolio. But now I felt like I wanted to get back into the fanfiction ring and start out slow with this.
