In 1993, two astronauts accidentally released the evil space witch Rita Repulsa. She then proceeded to attempt to conquer earth.
In response seven teenagers were recruited to combat her.
Over the next thirty years, many other teams were established to inherit their legacy.
The people of Earth have nothing to worry about, knowing they're protected by the Power Rangers.
A 46 year old Billy Cranston rolled across the grass. He then stood up and wiped the blood off his face. A long time has passed since he had participated in a fight and he was out of practice.
"Do you have any final words?" She sneered.
"Yeah. Just this. Triceratops." He was surrounded by blue energy and in his blue suit.
He then assumed a fighting stance after 2 years, waiting for the putties to take a step forward.
"Take him out, Putties." The putties charged to do just that.
He met their charge with his own one and threw several punches and kicks. This was just like fighting them 30 years ago with the other rangers.
Then to his surprise, Rita got involved. He moved his head just in time to avoid being hit by her staff.
"What was your reason for leading me here?" Rita asked. "Did you want to die outside in this fresh sea breeze?"
Then seven beams of light descended from the sky. They were red, yellow, black, pink, gold, silver, purple, white and green.
"Oh you brought friends." Rita smirked. "Now this is a real reunion."
"Sorry we're late." Zack apologized as Ash and Dawn helped Billy to his feet.
"We responded to your distress call as quickly as we could." They told him.
"Thanks, you guys." He said gratefully.
"Let me guess, that's Rita." Ash assumed.
"Let's send her to the scrap heap where she belongs." Dawn cracked her knuckles, ready for a fight.
"You'll regret saying that." Rita's eyes glowed red as she lifted her staff up. "Take them out."
All nine rangers ran at her and the putties even as there was a giant explosion behind them.
The rest of the rangers engaged the putties while Billy took the witch on alone.
He charged forward only for his punches to be blocked by Rita's staff. She then attempted to knock him off balance by striking at his legs. Billy leaped into the air to avoid it and slammed his elbow into Rita's face as he descended.
"Not my face!" Rita yelled as she held her damaged face which had sparks and wires coming out of it.
"I was just having fun at first. But you want to get serious?" She turned and looked at the blue ranger.
"Let's get deadly serious." She snarled, firing a crimson bolt of energy at Billy, causing him to roll across the dirt.
"I'll use some of my energy for a killing spell." A sphere of crimson energy came out of Rita's staff.
She then flung it at Billy, who was having a hard time moving.
After knocking out a good amount of putties, Trini turned towards Robo-Rita and saw the sphere of energy heading in Billy's direction.
She then pushed him out of the way taking the attack instead.
"TRINI!"
Smoke came out of her body while the other rangers continued fighting the putties.
"NO!" Billy cried out.
Trini's body then blew up, attracting the attention of the other Rangers.
"Oh god." Dawn whispered in horror.
Once the smoke cleared, Billy dropped to his knees as Zack came over to him. The other nine removed their helmets and looked down at the beach below for any sign of her.
"Goodbye, Trini Kwan." Robo-Rita sneered.
"I'll destroy you for that." Ash growled, facing the robotic menace with a fire in his eyes.
"If anyone needs me, I'll be in the Dark Dimension planning my revenge."
She cast blue lighting from her wand, making her and the Putties vanish.
Zack and Billy turned to the beach, as Tommy, Patrick, Ash, Dawn, Jason, Phil and Kimberly all ran towards them, before they stopped near them. Kimberly fell to her knees as Jason touched Billy's shoulder, all moaning the loss of their friend/teammate.
Kimberly punched the ground with her fist, as Trini's sudden death hit them the hardest, as they were all like sisters.
"This doesn't make sense. What happened to her body?" Patrick asked.
"It just disappeared all of a sudden."
Shortly after Robo-Rita teleported away, another red beam of light descended from the sky.
It was the Red Dragon Ranger.
"Hey guys. What'd I miss." He then looked at the group closely.
"Wait, there's only seven of you. What happened to-" Kimberly picked up the Saber-Tooth Tiger morpher.
Saying nothing else, he joined the other rangers by the cliff edge.
