Danny looked at Sam in front of him…She looked more depressed than usual, it was mainly because her head was down and she looked like she wanted to cry. Nothing has been going her way recently. Her parents have been pushing her to be less gothic and more normal but Sam doesn't like the normal part and she wants to be herself. Her family doesn't like that.

One time Danny went to Sam's house right as she was having some issues with her family, he didn't step in but deep down he wanted to. He kept himself together and he didn't yell out. Sometimes he is afraid to leave the Manson family alone.

He doesn't want anything bad happening to Sam, and he doesn't want her to be abused by her parents. Even though this isn't really abuse. Sam is still getting blamed for what she wants to wear and what she wants to do with her life—She is afraid of her family. And she has every reason to be.

The night Danny came over to Sam's house was a nightmare, Mr. And Mrs. Manson kept an eye on the two teens almost all the time, and they didn't want Sam doing anything stupid. When Danny was about to leave, both parents came to talk with him.

"Danny? Do you know how much of a bad influence you are on my daughter?" Mrs. Manson asked with her eyes wide.

"I…I…I…I don't know what you are talking about, ma'am."

"How dare you allow my daughter to go out with your other crazy friends." She said, "Tucker is not crazy, he may be weird but that doesn't make him crazy." Danny explained.

"Whatever…Samantha, if I find out you get into any kind of trouble. I will be on the move to find those bad influences who have control over your innocent mind and body."

"I'm barely innocent."

"Whatever."

"Right…Danny? Come on, let's go to my room and do GOTHIC things."

"DON'T ACT STUPID!"

"Shut up."

Danny and Sam made their way into Sam's room, she had to explain all about what the innocent thing was about. She didn't explain it very well and Danny wasn't going to face her parents' again, so he just left it alone…Sam didn't like this treatment.

She wanted to be free and she wanted to have the life she dreams of, not this happy-go-lucky perfect life. She wants to be herself and she wants to be free. She doesn't want to be in her parents' house anymore.

Something told her that she needed to move out, but she is only sixteen. So, she can't really do anything about it, and she can't really do anything about how she wants to live her life. Sam almost was crying because she had a flashback of the first time she discovered goth culture and how much she loved the uniqueness of everyone.

Flashback, Middle School

Sam Manson is looking around her mother's favorite store. All of a sudden she sees this new emo store that catches her eye. She decides to go in and check out everything, when she is in the store her mother ends up having to find her.

When Pamela found Sam in the goth store, she went mad. Embarrassing Sam in front of all the customers that were used to this lifestyle. "SAM! GET OUT OF THAT FREAKY STORE RIGHT NOW!" She yelled. "Sorry mom, I think I found my place."

"Seriously?" Pamela asked. "Sam…You cannot be goth, that will ruin our reputation as Amity Park's best looking family."

"I don't care about reputation."

"Why not?"

"Because…It doesn't concern me. Just like how it shouldn't concern you."

"Excuse me?"

"Yup."

"You are getting out of this store right now, and you are coming home with me. Because apparently it is already taking over your kindness."

"I don't want to be pretty and perfect."

"Sam…I suggest you change out of this style."

"Fine, mom."

"Good."

When they got home, Pamela explained to her husband Jermey about what happened. She was very furious with Sam and she was very mad with her behavior…Jermy just told her that she should let it go and that maybe she should let her hang out in that store.

Sam was overhearing their conversation and that was the day that Sam Manson became goth, and the day she forever went by the name Sam. She legally changed her name in high school so nobody can call her Samantha anymore.

It made her parents' mad, and it made them want to scream—They got a family therapist who told them to let Sam be free, and to let her do her own thing.

That was the start of her new life.

End flashback

"You see, Danny, now I will never go back." She said.

"Wow."

"Yeah, my own parents are jerks sometimes."

"I can tell."

"Come on, let's get Nasty Burger and ice cream."

"Yay!" Danny said.
