Chapter 1: The Invitation

During the Age of Feuding between humans and Zoanthropes, a new kingdom was born. The kingdom was very prosperous and had a king and a prince very powerful. The king wished to create a tournament to zoanthropes and our story begins some time before it, ten years ago…

There was a peaceful village where Cronos, a nine-years-old boy played with other kids on the street. There was an older man which used to take care of children, his name was Ganesha. He had fourty-six years old and act like he was an orphanage owner. The village was calm and lively until started to arise the zoanthropes. There were zoanthropes' cases that simply controlled their power, but there were also the ones who gave away to wrath. A certain summer day, where Cronos played soccer together with some kids that were his friends, a bad looking man was hit by the ball in an accident, instead of give back the ball he burst it. Cronos watching that went angry, but even so tried to control himself.

The man who wanted to cause trouble with the kids was barred by Ganesha that said he would not accept violence. Despite that, the man was a shark zoanthrope that bestialized and attacked Ganesha for an instant sending him to the ground. Cronos watching that scene asked the kids to look after and ask for help from somebody, but some of them were also attacked. An unknown rage woke up inside Cronos and the same lost track from what was happening. Moments later, the entire village were in flames and in the middle of the night rain, Ganesha carried Cronos to another place.

After waking up on Ganesha's lap, Cronos wanted answers, because he didn't remember anything that have happened on that place. "Uncle Ganesha, what happened? Where are the others?" Cronos asked while Ganesha shook his head. "The village was destroyed Cronos; we need to find a new place." Ganesha said carrying Cronos and found a kingdom.

Arriving at the place, the same were received and treated because of their wounds, hungry and thirsty. Not to mention with a place to stay the night. On the other day, Ganesha and Cronos woke up in the kingdom's inn.

"What place is this? It seems like a very rich kingdom." Said the nine-year-old boy amazed with the place.

"We will discover soon, Cronos. We were summoned to meet this place's king." Ganesha seemed to understand the situation.

The time passed and a reunion had happened between Ganesha and the Kingdom of Zoanthropes' king while Cronos was taken by a doctor to be examined.

"I'm king Orion, Ganesha. I take care of this place reuniting humans with zoanthropes." The king said to Ganesha which revealed some things.

"I'm a zoanthrope and Cronos too." He said to the king without fear from who gave him shelter.

"But Cronos is on other level, examining him you'll see what he can be capable of." Ganesha said and watched the king's reaction that was from happiness.

"Tell me exactly what brought you here" King Orion seemed interested in the story from the two which were sheltered for needing help.

The same knew the condition on which they were encountered and worried with the health and well-being from them. Ganesha told what had happened including what Cronos didn't remember since the same were in another place receiving medical care.

After some days it would be announced, king Orion said to the people from the Kingdom of Zoanthropes inside a high building from his throne with Ganesha and Cronos by his side.

"I have an announcement to make to our people. This boy that you are seeing was adopted by me and will be the new Kingdom of Zoanthropes prince while Ganesha that is by other side will be his bodyguard. I ask you to receive them with the due respect they deserve." It was announced, Cronos became a prince and Ganesha a bodyguard.

Ten years later...

Yugo and Alice were having dinner together under a starry sky next to where WOC building was, their work place. Alice seemed happy because Yugo was taking their relationship seriously. Alice's laptop was on for her to see the news and also to research about an invitation that she would like to had received, just like Yugo had received. "You were invited, wasn't, Yugo?" Alice asked him serious. The same which thought he would break the mood talking about the invitation said. "Yes, I received the invitation." He didn't say anything anymore while the two continued the meal. "I'll participate, but the fact that you weren't invited can be better for you." Yugo revealed his concern. "There are rumors from suspect activities at that place under the table." Alice explained to him that he seemed to hide something from her.

"I haven't told you how I received my invitation." Yugo said beginning to explain to Alice that tournament's danger.

"A group of thugs attacked me just to test my skills. Not to mention that I received a visit from a representant of the tournament. When I discovered to whom they worked I got the invitation." The young wolf explained trying to not break the mood.

"Before my trip, let's think only about us two." Said Yugo getting a smile from Alice's face that went back to dinner.

Kenji that still was working at that time on the WOC in Yugo and Alice's place, he left the building wearing a tuxedo after finishing a big paperwork. He that was a boy had become a responsible man. He then took out of his pocket the tournament invitation and the same wanted to participate. "(My days as Bakuryu aren't over yet.)" The fifteen-year-old young boy thought.

The day has passed and on the dawn of the other day, Uriko was sleeping quietly while a tournament representative tried to wake her up and after a lot of work, he made it. Asking herself how did he entered her house the same didn't seem to worry about anything about he wanted to say. "You are Uriko, aren't you? This is an invitation to a tournament that will happen on the Kingdom of the Zoanthropes." He delivered her the envelope. "Is it an athletic game?" She asked until clarified that she would participate into a fighting tournament. Leaving the house, the man was speaking on the phone. "She really carries the chimera power?" The representative said out of her reach and Uriko rejoiced with her opportunity.

Back home, Alice entered and found Uriko happy with her invitation and Long which arrived five minutes before Alice.

"Is everything okay, Alice?" Long asked her expecting a positive reaction. "Well, it's fine. But it could be better." She answered him. "Sis, I was invited to a tournament, isn't that good?" Uriko told her sister about it while Long approached her. "Take it, it's yours." Long gave to her an invitation too. "How did you-?" Alice tried to ask, but was interrupted by Long that was more mysterious than ever. "I got to go; I'll watch all of you." Long finished his job at that place and left the house.
