I took the files from Nebula, my mind racing with worry. Jake had always been a bit of a wild card, but I had never imagined he could be involved in something this dangerous.
Rocket snatched the files from my hands, his brow furrowed as he began to scan through the data. "Looks like Jake's been trying to find his old handlers."
I clenched my fists, my heart pounding in my chest. "We need to find him. He could be in serious trouble."
Rocket nodded grimly. "Agreed. Let's head back to the Milano and see if we can track his location."
As we made our way to the ship, my thoughts raced. I knew Jake could be reckless, but I never thought he would get mixed up in something this dangerous. I just hoped we weren't too late to help him.
Once aboard the Milano, we began to work on tracing Jake's location. It wasn't easy, but after hours of careful searching, we finally got a hit. He was hiding out on a remote planet on the edge of the galaxy, trying to evade his captors.
Without hesitation, we set a course for the planet, determined to rescue our friend and bring him back to safety. But as we neared our destination, the nagging worry in my gut only grew stronger. I couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of something much larger and more dangerous than we could have ever imagined.
