Robin noticed some slight differences as he walked down the streets of Jump City, more noticeably the different lights and billboards. The last time he checked, Robin was sure that a specific billboard wasn't there before, and that was only a couple of hours ago. The boy wondered how far into the future he travelled. From the looks of it, he didn't go that far, considering the fight between him and Warp was relatively short.

Boy Wonder was surprised that there weren't many people on the streets. His only guess was that it must be past midnight as that would make sense, but that didn't mean it was bad. It was good. That meant people wouldn't recognise that Robin had returned and bombarded him with questions. All this means is he needs to buy new clothes. The ones that he has right now are severely damaged and are in need of repair. They were soaked and cold making him shiver as he walked.

'I wonder where the Titans are...' Robin asked himself mentally. 'Hopefully, Raven did what I asked her. I don't want the team to disband.'

The teen continued to walk down the empty street as the rain continue to keep Robin's clothes wet. He's never felt so alone before. Being with the Titans made him feel warm and happy. But right now, he feels cold and lost. With every step he takes on the wet, cold ground, he feels as if someone was stalking him. The teen would glance at his rear to ensure no one was there. In the position he's in, Robin wasn't taking any chances.

He took feel for his pockets to ensure all his weapons were there. Robin felt a couple of his smoke bombs and birdarangs ready to be used. His communicator was there as well, but his signature staff was missing. It must've fallen out when he was in the water. Even without it, Robin was still an expert at hand-to-hand combat. Being trained by his mentor vigorously gave him the confidence to fight back no matter who they are.

A black figure crouched down at one of the rooftops of Jump City, looking for any criminal activities around its vicinity. Since it was the beginning of the weekend, there wasn't much happening, and it bored them. It sat on the edge of one of the apartment buildings and let its legs dangle in the air. The figure recently stopped a small robbery at a grocery store. Overall, not much was happening.

The figure looked down at the streets and noticed a man dressed in dark clothing. It walked a little too fast down the streets, almost like it doesn't want to be seen. This caught the attention of the figure, and from a distance, it watched him. The figure whipped out its staff and used it to help it stand itself up from the ledge. Maybe there was something to do after all.

Seeing a couple of people in the distance, Robin walked to the closest provided alleyways, almost like it was a reflex. He was glad that there was one not too far from him, otherwise, his identity was going to be revealed. In addition to that, if they were enemies, Robin doesn't know how much longer he could go. His muscles were screaming for rest as they ached, and with it being cold made it much worse.

The alleyway was dark, which was great for Robin as it meant people won't see him. Robin leaned against the wet brick wall behind him as he took a break. Seeing as he was hiding, he took the chance to sigh and close his eyes.

'I need to get home ASAP...' He told himself. 'But where do I start? What if Warp is still around?'

Robin groaned in exhaustion. That one attack from Warp took everything out of him. He thought he could take a break, but his mind wasn't cooperating. He was so caught up in going home that he never thought about where he was going to sleep. Looking at the dumpster next to him, being homeless doesn't look so bad right now.

Robin's eyes widen when he felt something sharp press against his rib cage.

"Give me everything you got, kid..." A deep and raspy voice came close to his ear. Robin could smell cigarettes and body odour radiating from the man.

Doing what he instructed, Robin stepped back from the man and reached for his pockets. The man looked obese with him having a beer belly. He also wore a black beanie to keep warm in the cold weather, but nothing to cover his identity. What a stupid old man.

Robin didn't know whether to do what says or fight in the state he was in. Robin doesn't know if he could fight back with every part of his body working against him.

"Fine." Robin slowly went to his pockets. Coming close to his pockets, the teen suddenly went for a punch for a surprise attack. To his surprise, he managed to miss the man's face by an inch. Robin's going to regret it now.

"Someone thinks they can fight..." The man muttered. Robin saw the man smirk as he threw a punch to his face.

The worst thing was that his fist made contact with his face causing Robin to stumble in pain. To make things worse, he landed on a puddle that splashed all over his face. But that wasn't the worst thing because when Robin opened his eyes, he noticed a light post above him, shining its light on his face. His identity was revealed to the ugly man.

The man stepped closer towards him, and that was when he gasped. "You're... You're him! You're Robin! The Titan that disappeared a couple of years ago!"

Robin could only crawl against the wall next to him, hiding himself again in the dark. He couldn't risk revealing himself to more people. One person was enough.

"Leave before I hurt you..." Robin groaned out as he tried to stand up. Before he could, the man kicked him in the ribs, making the teen yell out in pain. He clutched his sides, hoping the pain will subside quickly.

"You think you could stop me? Look at yourself! You abanded your team for no reason and came back like an orphan! You think you cou-" He was cut off when a fast figure struck him from above.

The man stumbled back and eventually fell to the wet ground with a grunt. But before he could regain his senses, the figure grabbed the man and threw him against the wall hard. He fell back to the ground, but he was ready this time. He went running first with his machete in his right hand.

The figure whipped out its staff and threw it against the robber, hitting him in the face. The impact caused the man to drop his machete to rub where the staff hit him. Then, the figure grabbed its staff, which was in midair, and swung it towards the man's head like a baseball bat. The robber dropped down to the ground with a thud, unconscious.

Robin watched the whole ordeal from the ground, and he was impressed, to say the least. Whoever the figure was, it knew what they were doing, especially with the staff. The skills they've shown came from an expect for sure. He wondered where they learnt their skills from.

The teen noticed the figure walking towards him with its staff still in hand. Robin noticed the person was wearing a black cloak to hide their entire body. Robin couldn't tell who they were from the mask they were using, but it was the mask that caught Robin's attention because it looked like a bird that had red eyes.

"Are you okay?" The figure crouched down to the person's level. They couldn't see who the victim was from how dark the alleyway was but could see their outline. "From above, it looked like he did a number on you."

Robin noticed that the figure had a feminine voice. It sounded so familiar, but at the same time, it was different. He wasn't sure if the person in front of him was the same person he was thinking, but if it was, Robin would likely pass out from joy. He's never missed someone's voice.

"I-I'm okay," Robin replied shakily from the pain. "Thank you."

The heroine brought her arm around Robin's body and lift him from the ground. As they stood up on their two feet, the heroine turned to look at him, and that's when she almost passed from surprise. The person she was holding wasn't just any regular person. It was her long-lost friend from years ago.

"R-Robin...?" The heroine whispered, but it was loud enough for Robin to hear it. They almost dropped Robin from shock.

He knew this was going to happen, but he didn't have a choice. But seeing this come from another heroine, maybe he could persuade them to keep his identity a secret. "Please don't tell anyone."

Robin removed himself from the person's arm and limped away to keep a couple of feet from the person. Robin was ready to depart when the heroine removed their hood and threw away her mask. Underneath it was someone he was so glad to meet again.

"R-Raven..?!" Robin almost choked on his words seeing his friend again after many hours of separation.

Robin noticed that Raven was now the same height as him. Along with that, she had grown out her straight purple hair, and now it reached her passed her shoulders. Those were the only noticeable changes he could catch at the moment.

Raven carelessly dropped her metal staff on the ground as she walked towards Robin, who stood in the same spot. He was still in shock seeing how much Raven had changed in a matter of hours, even with time travel.

Seeing how close they were to each other, Raven asked quietly with tears in her eyes, "Robin? Tell me I'm not hallucinating. Tell me you're real."

"It's really me, Raven. I'm back." Robin replied. He couldn't talk much from the pain. Raven's hand slowly went for his cheeks to ensure he wasn't lying. Her thumb caressed his cold and smooth cheeks. Raven missed Robin's red face from her warm touch. It truly was him. He came back as he said a couple of years ago.

Without thinking for a second, Raven pulled Robin into a tight hug as if like was going to disappear again. Robin could feel the tear on his shoulders as Raven cried hard. The teen couldn't help but return the hug. With how cold he was feeling from the rain, he loved feeling the warmth Raven gave.

"Robin... You don't know how much I've missed you. Ever since you went missing, I couldn't stop thinking about you..." Raven whispered over his shoulder. Her sobering hasn't stopped yet. Robin tried to shift, but Raven made sure he couldn't get out of her grip. The tightness of her hug kept him in her arms. "Please don't let me go, Robin."

"I know you're feeling so many emotions right now and probably have questions, but can we please head back to the tower?" Robin asked in his raspy voice. "I'm so tired. Everything hurts right now."

Raven pulled out swiftly from his embrace. The empath noticed several bruises and cuts all over his body from the attack earlier. "Oh my- Let's go! I'll patch you when we get back."

"Can't wait..."

Using the last of his energy, Robin collapsed to the floor.

Robin groaned as he slowly woke up. The leader shuffled in his bed as he felt a headache growing. He wasn't a fan of headaches as it limits his functions and patience, along with the cuts and bruises around his body. Robin was limited to his movements as small movements caused his wounds to sting.

Opening his eyes slightly, the room that Robin was in was dark, almost like he couldn't see anything. He sat up on the bed and noticed shuffling next to him. Turning to his left, he noticed Raven sleeping next to him. Robin made sure not to cause too many movements to wake her up.

Standing up from the bed, from the little light in the room, Robin noticed his shirt missing, revealing bandages spread all over his body. To his luck, Raven left his pants on. He was very thankful for that.

From what he could gather, Robin thinks that he could be in Raven's room. There were antiques that he thought were related to Raven's aesthetic. At the end of the room, he noticed a bookshelf filled with a variety of colours. Plus, the darkness gave it away.

Robin walked towards her table, where he noticed her staff. It almost looked like the one he lost last night. The only difference was how much it was used. Her staff had dents and scratches from top to bottom. In Robin's opinion, if his staff looked like that, it would mean he's used it well. An overused staff indicated that it had done its intended job, and Raven had done its job.

Speaking of Raven, Robin wondered where she had learnt to use a staff like that. Her skills last night were so advanced that it Robin look immature. Her style was almost identical to his, and it scared him.

'Wait, didn't she say this was my staff?' Robin was about to pick it up when he heard shuffling from her bed. He noticed that Raven was walking up from her sleep.

"Good morning," Robin said, getting Raven's attention

Rubbing her eyes, the tired girl turned her head to Robin. Seeing him up and standing, Raven smiled and rushed to hug him once again. She was glad to see him up and standing.

Robin stumbled back in surprise as the empath went for another hug. Seeing her act so differently was so strange to him. Raven was never a touchy person nor a hugger. That was more Starfire, so seeing Raven do what Starfire would do would surprise him. But he loved it nonetheless.

"Someone loves hugs," Robin commented as he wrapped an arm around her. He noticed she was still the same dark leotard from four years ago, but this was slightly bigger to fit her body.

Raven stepped back but didn't let her leg go of Robin. A small smile

"Can you blame me? I haven't seen you for so long!" Raven chuckled. She noticed that he was looking at her strangely, so she frowned in response. "What's wrong, Robin?"

"You're just... You're just so different now." Robin replied sadly. "Everything about you is different. Your appearance and your attitude are different. Not that it's bad, of course."

"Well, that's what happens when you disappear for four years..." Raven replied softly. She took a couple of steps back as she wrapped herself in her arms.

"Four years?" Robin couldn't believe he had been missing for four years. That didn't make any sense. "But the last I talked to you was a couple of hours ago!"

A frown appeared on the girl's face. "Hours ago?! You may have talked to 'me' a couple of hours ago, Robin, but to me? It felt like four years, literally!"

Robin stepped back from her anger. He noticed that the Raven he knew was still in her.

"When you and Warp fell into that portal, I waited hours, days, weeks, and even months for you to come back! Do you know how long four years is?! People underestimate how long four years is!" Raven yelled out. Her throat was already hurting. "I hoped every day that there would be a signal telling you're back, but no! Robin was gone! Eventually, after three months, I gave up hope and assumed you were dead so that I could move on!"

Tears were rolling down her face as she breathed rapidly from her yelling. All the pent-up anger from the four years of loneliness finally came out like a waterfall.

Rubbing off the tear from her eyes, Raven continued. "...But I couldn't. I did everything that I could to get you off my mind, but you still lingered there. The tower has so many things that reminded me of you, Robin. Especially your staff."

"My staff?" Robin repeated. Then it hit him. "Wait, that's my staff you're using?"

Raven played with her hair as a blush appeared. "Y-Yeah, I told you, remember? You dropped it when you drop-kicked Warp into the portal. I've kept it and have been using it ever since. It hasn't even taken a break."

Silence sat between them as Robin took everything that Raven said. He didn't know he had a massive impact on Raven's life.

"I'm sorry it took so long for me to come back. I honestly didn't know it took that long." Robin replied. He wanted to approach her, but Robin was afraid she'll lash out again. "The fight didn't even last that long, honestly. It felt like one minute, and then we separated. Warp said we were supposed to go one hundred years into the future."

"I guess you stopped him at four," Raven muttered. She didn't look at him in the face.

Robin looked sad. His intention wasn't to hurt her but more of the opposite. As a leader of the Teen Titans, his duty was to protect his teammates to ensure they were all safe.

"I'm sorry again, Raven. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" Robin asked desperately.

Slowly, Raven took his hands and looked at him with a soft smile. "Just stay by my side forever."

Robin could only chuckle. "You made it too easy."

Still shirtless, Robin stood in the main room, looking at the large window in front of him. What made today even better was that the sky was finally clear. The warm sun reached the boy's cold skin. Last night made Robin appreciate the sun more. He underestimated how cold it could you're wet.

The teen couldn't help but feel how empty it felt inside the tower. Around the afternoon, it would be loud because Beast Boy and Cyborg would play against each other with their Gamestation. Plus, Starfire would be begging him to try her new cooking. For some reason, they weren't around.

He then turned around as he heard Raven's footsteps behind him.

"I got your coffee like you wanted," Raven asked as she held two cups. She handed him the second mug.

"Thanks." Robin took a sip and sighed in satisfaction. Looking at the girl, he couldn't help but straighten his posture to make himself look taller. He didn't like the fact that Raven had a growth spurt and made her the same height as him. To make things even worse, they were both barefoot, so it made them show their true height.

Raven raised an eyebrow at the strange behaviour. "What are you doing?"

"Just seeing who's taller," Robin replied. "The fact that you're the same height as me just... I don't like it."

"Aw! Is someone insecure about their height?" Raven cooed as she teased her leader. She then straightened her back as well. She noticed that Robin was just taller by an inch. It wasn't a competition to her, but it is to Robin.

"Hah! I'm still taller." Robin crossed his arm as he smirked.

"You win." Raven chuckled as she shrugged her shoulders. "C'mon. Let's sit at the table."

The two walked to the dinner table across from the kitchen as they enjoyed the warmth of their coffee. The two chatted away with topics that nobody would be interested in. It was nice talking to Raven. He didn't realise how much could go on with

Then Robin reverted to a topic he thought about a couple of minutes ago.

"Hey, where are the others? Are they still asleep?" Robin asked. He wanted to know why it was so quiet in the tower. It was already noon, and he hasn't seen the other three.

Raven shifted her gaze away from Robin. Robin saw her shoulders slump in sadness as she hesitated to reply. "I- Uh... They all... Well, two of them might have left."

"Two of them?" Robin asked in surprise. He wouldn't expect two people to leave. He didn't even think one person would. "Who were the two?"

"It was Starfire and Beast Boy." Raven hung her head in disappointment. "Long story short, the team wasn't doing well together, and a fight broke out. Later, those two left to do their own solo hero thing. We haven't been in contact with them since."

"Oh." Robin went for a sip of his coffee to realise it was empty. "What about Cyborg?"

"He's still part of the team, luckily. He's at Titans East at the moment, helping them with the Brotherhood of Evil. I'm not too sure when he's coming back, but my guess is anytime soon. It's been a month since he left."

Robin raised an eyebrow. "Titans East? Brotherhood of Evil?"

"Titans East is a team like us but located in Steel City. I'll tell you more about them later." Raven went for a sip of her coffee before continuing. "And the Brotherhood of Evil is basically like a group of villains. Basically like Slade but divided into smaller villains."

Robin got worried. "Shouldn't we be doing something? I mean, I think I'm oka-"

Raven then interrupted him. "It's fine, Robin. Don't worry. As I said, Cyborg teamed up with Titans East to help defeat them. I only stayed because someone had to watch over Jump City. Is my leader proud of me?"

Robin chuckled at the smirk Raven gave him. "Of course. I mean, look at the city. It hasn't collapsed. Who wouldn't be?"

"Heh... Thanks." Raven tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she blushed. "But why did you choose me to lead the Titans? Why not Cyborg, Starfire or Beast Boy?"

"I chose you because I know that I can trust you. In the past, you've completed tasks that I requested for you to do, and you've done them well. So I had to choose you and look, Cyborg chose to stay with you. That has to mean something."

"But how could you trust me when two people left the Titans?" Raven looked down at the table in sadness. "I failed to keep everyone together."

Robin looked at Raven deeply. "Raven. It's okay to fail a certain task, but that doesn't mean you didn't do it well. There will be times when things don't go how you want them to go, and the same could be said for being a leader."

Raven didn't say anything. The girl continued to stare down at the table between them in silence. Robin could tell that the message didn't make a huge impact on her, but he guessed it'll take time for it to settle in.

"What's still bothering you?"

"It's just... Starfire and Beast Boy left because of what I said..." Raven pressed her head on the table as her guilt overtook her.

"What did you say?"

"Almost every day, we were arguing. It got to the point where I said, 'You two are weighing the team down! Just leave!'. And they did just that." Robin sounded like she was about to cry. Bringing her head up, she said, "You got to understand, Robin, I was mad! I didn't mean to say that! It's just we kept arguing-"

Robin grabbed Raven's hand and squeezed it to calm her down. "Raven, relax. I understand."

"How are you so okay with this?" Raven was still figuring out how Robin could keep his composure.

"Because this is how we started, remember?" Robin started.

"When we all first met in Jump City, we were all hesitant to meet because we all stepped outside our comfort zone. That's what happened when I left. When I went out of the image, you all had to do something different, something new adapts to a new team."

Raven gave a small smile to Robin. He somehow has something right to say in difficult moments. "You're right. It might be rough at the start, but it'll all be worth it in the end."

"Exactly!" Robin started to smile. He was finally getting to her.

"But I still need to apologise to them. I'll never forgive myself if I don't."

"Of course. How about this? Why don't we bring Starfire and Beast Boy back?" Robin asked. "We find where they are, you ask for forgiveness and bring them back. Sounds like a plan?"

Raven nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a plan."

The two heard beeping coming from Raven's pocket. Pulling it out, the 'T' on the communicator started to flash. Opening it up, Raven met a familiar face waiting for her at the front door.

"He's here!" Raven yelled out in excitement. The teenage girl swiftly jumped out of her chair and ran out of the main room, leaving a confused Robin questioning what happened.

"Who's here?" He asked himself.

What confused him, even more, was how Raven was acting so differently. The Raven he knew was a girl of few words and very little in movements. She hated to talk even when it was necessary. She would do anything to avoid anyone approaching her, even Robin. Raven was the most introverted person Robin had ever met.

But seeing her now, she became what an average teenager should be. Her voice wasn't as rough as it would be. It was smooth and pleasing to his ears, not that her old voice was bad, of course. Her dark aura was replaced with something brighter and more extroverted. It still baffles him, but that didn't mean he didn't like it.

Robin started to wonder who the person Raven was referring to was until he heard the door to the main room open. Next to Raven was someone he was hoping he would meet again.

"Cyborg!" Robin stood up from his seat to greet his friend.

Looking at his friend, Robin noticed that nothing had changed with Cyborg. Physically, possibly. But he couldn't find anything about his robotic friend other than that he was probably taller by a couple of inches.

Turning away from Raven, Cyborg dropped the luggage he was holding. Right in front of him was the leader who disappeared during their battle with Warp. The last thing he expected was for him to come back. Robin almost laughed at how wide Cyborg's eyes went.

"No way... You're back. But how? And you haven't aged a bit." Cyborg took a couple of steps forward to ensure Robin was real. Things like these don't happen often to the Teen Titans.

Robin looked nervous. He wasn't sure how he was going to react. "I was uhh... After the battle with Warp, I got transported four years into the future."

"So your battle took four years? I doubt that 'cause look at you. Nothing has changed after four years."

"It only lasted a minute before we got separated."

Cyborg was surprised to hear that. "A minute?! You were there for a minute while we waited for you for four years?!"

"I don't have control over time, Cyborg! You gotta understand!"

Robin pleaded. "I didn't mean to travel into the future!"

Cyborg didn't reply as he looked at Robin intensely. His eyes could see the soul inside his body. Robin knew he wanted to see something, but it looked like he held in, knowing it could sting his heart and ruin his friendship if they still have one.

The robotic man wanted to say so much but knew better than ruin their friendship. His pent-up anger slowly faded away as he claimed down. He knew better than to yell at someone.

Cyborg took a sigh before he replied. "I'm sorry for almost lashing out at you man."

"No, I understand. I know you have lots of questions, and you need answers." Robin replied understandingly. "The same thing happened to Raven when she found me."

Raven gave a small smile to Cyborg as the tall robotic man looked at her.

"Is it okay if we talk for a little bit?" Cyborg asked as the tension between them settle. Robin nodded as he gave a small smile.

He was glad he was calm. "Of course, big guy."

Raven watched as the two guys walked away to the couch near the large window to talk things out. She was expecting Cyborg to go all out on Robin for his sudden disappearance, but it looked like he stopped himself. Raven could only smile seeing her friends talk again. Soon, the tower will return to what it was once before. Robin brought hope with him.

From a distance, Raven stared at Robin as she felt heat rising to her cheeks.

She was in love again.
